I bought my Travis Heights home from Tom Hallberg/Hallberg Custom Homes in Fall 2011. Three and one half years later, May 2015, it’s still a great house! The house was a complete re-construction of an older home down to the slab with the front wall retained. The use of space is excellent with none wasted plus there is plenty of storage space built in. The house systems are very efficient and the level of insulation is great for our Texas weather. There have been few warranty issues, but when there were any, Tom and his sub-contractors have been very responsive, even beyond the stated warranty period. I have recommended Tom to others in the past as an exceptional builder. I am pleased to continue to recommend him. He built a home that is wonderful to live in.

Tom of LEEF demolished the kitchen from the back of our turn of the century historic home in Travis Heights. We extended our home to add a new Chef's kitchen that opens to a screen porch, bedroom, and bath down stairs with a master suite upstairs. Professional. Trustworthy. On-time. Project price came in at his quoted cost. Would highly recommend Tom.

Tom took the bones of a run down 1950's mid-century ranch house and brought it beautifully back to life! We couldn't have been happier! This was a complete rebuild from the studs and we were pleasantly surprised how smooth the process was. Tom completed the job perfectly and on schedule. He offered excellent communication throughout the process. He was always very clear on the expected allowances and any additional costs. He has always stood by his great work! The finish out of the home was impeccable! He combined many sustainable/green features into our home... i.e. Low/No VOC paints and finishes, recycled PET carpeting, and sustainable bamboo flooring, high efficiency HVAC... to name a few things. He has an excellent eye for details and it truly showed with our completed home. Never any shortcuts! We are several years out and have never had any major issues. We are always complimented on the workmanship that went into our house. Moreover, our home was energy audited and the inspector was more than impressed. We see the savings of a well constructed home every day! All around, Tom was very hands on and present. The team of subcontractors he organized for our project were all excellent. They are all top notch and we have continued to use them for our other ongoing projects. We have gotten to know them all and very much have confidence in their work! Trustworthy. Honest. Truly a great builder who stands by his work... and a great human being who gives back to his community! You won't find a better builder! We are so glad that we were able to work with him on our home! Also glad to have him as a friend!

Tom Hallberg is a consummate professional. His management of all the trades coming in and out was flawless. He communication with the contractors and us was regular and clear. His working knowledge of the Austin permit process saved us time and money. Every roadblock they threw Tom caught it dealt with it and got the City's approval every time. On time and under budget ! Our house is strong and solid 1 year old.

Tom and his team are a rare find. Tom remodeled our home in Travis Heights in a four month time period and was on schedule and on budget. He and his crew take pride in their work and often found ways to improve upon our design or optimize other aspects of the build. I highly recommend Tom and his crew and would use him again any day. Tom is not just a builder he is a craftsman and still practices this lost art.

We hired Tom Hallberg to remodel/expand our home. We could not have been happier with his work! He was organized and really helped us with a lot of decisions. He's been in the business for a long time and all that experience is invaluable! He knows his stuff and hires subs who are actually inspired to do good work. I think they respect him because he has the knowledge and skills and he's not afraid to swing a hammer right along with them if necessary.
