We have worked with Miller Lane Studio on a handful of projects over the past couple of years. Thea is organized and always communicates well whether it is regarding material selections for her project needs or scheduling.

Thea Miller is a true professional. I brought a lot of very specific points of view to my new kitchen. Thea was able to help me stay on budget and really prioritize. Her excellent reputation and knowledge of local vendors made things even easier. The outcome was simply stunning.

Thea Miller is an extraordinary designer. Our project was a total redesign and reno of the entire first floor, which included our kitchen and a bathroom. She has an amazing ability to re-imagine a space and make it feel larger, more functional, and beautiful. Her architectural experience is invaluable. She has huge talent, knowledge & patience, and she LISTENS to the client so well. She was respectful of my taste and gently guided me to make good decisions. She managed the inevitable speed bumps with such a reassuring tone, while simultaneously having the tough conversations with our GC and his subs, using a "velvet hammer" approach that was very effective with them. She made it fun, and she was always accessible and made me feel like all questions were good ones. Plus, her responses and followup actions were timely and managed well. During the entire project, I never once questioned my decision to hire her. For me, that says it all. And. . . . we absolutely LOVE the new floor plan and everything she helped us choose to go in it. Seriously, we would not change a thing, and we would re-hire her in a heartbeat.

Thea Miller transformed my great variety of images, sketches, thoughts, and disjointed musings into a custom home more beautiful and more suited to my needs than I ever dreamed possible. She found perfectly appointed ways to incorporate my variety of requests into a single home full of interesting architectural details while maintaining a simplicity important to me. Thea also worked closely with me to design the floor plan, kitchen and pantry, with many revisions and trials of designs, sometimes merely for my steep learning curve, transferring my many requests and kitchen gadgets into a user-friendly and beautiful space. Thea took the time and effort to come to a full understanding of my unarticulated wishes for my home, so that she could, towards the end of our adventure, chose the perfect color for a room merely through a phone call. The intention and thoughtfulness of design decisions becomes even more clear to me the longer I live in the house.

Thea is absolutely fantastic to work with! She listens to what I like and want and then guides with the perfect touch. I would never have been able to do my kitchen without her help and it turned out better than I could have dreamed.
