About Us

At SPACE interior architecture we believe "There's no reason you can't have it all!" Whether it's new paint or a whole house remodel, Rebecca is passionate to bring your vision to life. You don't have to have a lot of money to get the results you want, you just have to be smart about how you spend it. As a kid growing up in Sacramento, Rebecca would follow her father around acting as his right hand woman. Her father has been a licensed contractor since before Rebecca was born. It's because of him she was fascinated about how everything worked. She graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture from Sacramento State University and spent a summer in Italy studying European architecture. With a background in graphic design she is well versed in the design world. Rebecca is inspired by her travels around the world and everyday life as a mother and wife. Hello my name is Eric Houk. I am owner and operator of Houk Custom Tile & Stone. I am very pleased to work with Rebecca and Space Interior Architecture. She always has good ideas and puts them together on paper for me to understand what she and the customer want the finished look to be. Working with her is really enjoyable and I hope to tile many more of her architectural creations in the future.

I am fortunate to have had Rebecca’s help with a variety of design projects. She has brought initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and a sense of fun to each one. Her designs for the work projects have been professional, but not boring, which is a difficult combination to achieve. Her several designs for the home project captured the essence of what I was trying to achieve while taking a variety of practical factors, such as the sun’s impact over time, into consideration. I love everything I have seen her design.

Rebecca is highly professional and punctual. When she selected the colors for the interior walls of my house I wasn't sure about her choices. Turns out she knew exactly what works for me after carefully listening to my general criteria about how I wanted the house to feel. Her help with the selection of flooring, kitchen cabinets, counter tops and back splashes were also spot on. There's still more to do and I'll be relying on her for future ideas and selections.

Rebecca is a gem! I have worked with her on three projects --- a full bath remodel, a custom fireplace mantel with tile surround, and a built-in cabinet redo. I am so pleased with the results AND the process. Rebecca listened to my ideas, offered great solutions and vendors within budget, and then got the work done! Our house is custom and 30+ years old. We are not doing a gut job so it was particularly important that the new work tie in with the existing look and feel. Rebecca made that happen and we couldn't be happier. She was TREMENDOUS!

We had an excellent experience working with Rebecca during our remodel on our living room, family room and dining room. She was responsive, professional and guided us through every decision and purchase. Rebecca helped us understand our choices and made suggestions that were spot on! We really appreciated her sense of style and she was so patient with our numerous questions. We love everything about our new rooms and do not regret any of our decisions. Family and friends cannot believe the transformation!
