Southern Stair Company

I hired Southern Stair Company to design and construct a new staircase for my home in Cocoa Beach. The style of the house was being updated with a contemporary flare, so a modern floating staircase with glass railings and chunky white oak treads was sure to become the focal point of the great room and foyer. Additionally, the adjoining catwalk between the upper north and south wings would get a makeover with matching materials and glass railings. I worked closely with Kevin, exchanging drawings and ideas. The end result is a beautiful architectural detail that sets the tone for the rest of the house. Kevin and his team of artisans paid attention to the details that mattered, creating a staircase that appears to float, while each tread gives the illusion that it pierces through the glass railing. He recommended a painter to stain the stairs to match the tone of the newly installed white oak flooring. The soft ambient lighting under the platform landings further add to the experience. I can't imagine any way to make it more perfect than it is.

I worked with Kevin to create a beautiful set of stairs! I got exactly what I wanted and Maestro Joe was phenomenal. Thank you for taking on our condo stair project. I don’t live in Florida but was able to manage the project from out of country and there were no issues.
