Reliable, hardworking, on time, within budget. A+ Unlike any of the many other contractors I interviewed for the job, when Dave and Darrell came to the site, they immediately picked up on the same issues an engineer had told me would be a factor in the job. Silva Construction further proved to be able to keep to the schedule promised; finishing on time—what seems extremely rare according to other people I’ve spoken who have been getting work done by other contractors. Keesha and Jaime were a pleasure to work with. Michael, Virgil, and Gonzo were dependable, hardworking, and skilled builders. Dave was able to work with me on my budget (a huge factor for me). I recommend this company to everyone I meet who wants to have work done on their house.

All Silva personnel whom I have met are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They respond quickly to questions and requests, and explain each step. We are doing extensive work on our house, and it has been made easier because of the competence and helpfulness of Silva. And the subcontractors whom they have sent seem to adhere to the same standards of excellence and courtesy. We are planning to do further work in 2022, and will of course be using the services of Silva Construction.

Slyva construction I’ve had work done on my house before and then again just recently they came out in short notice to repair some damage from a break in . All very nice , well done jobs very happy with all work they have done for me . All workers from office workers to employees working for this company. . They were the first ones I thought of to call for repairs !!! And they jumped on it and helped me right away .

Silva completed a major bathroom remodel in June. We loved the results and we loved working with Silva. They were very professional and very responsive. I would definitely hire them again.

I have no qualms whatsoever about leaving to run errands when their men are working inside or outside my house. Instant feedback to any questions. Silva Construction has done all the work needed here for the past 30+years. The reason for that is that Silva Built stays built. Previous jobs: stone sidewalk leading to house; skylight, two sky tubes, Pergo flooring throughout the house, re-designed garage roof, removal of old balcony railings and floor waterproofing (stretches the width of the house) and new one to replace the old, removal of old wall heaters, replacement with new. Silva workers are happy as they work here and it is clear that they enjoy doing the work. Clean up is meticulous - really "white glove inspection."

When I was looking for bids, other companies listened to what I wanted, and then gave me a verbal quote, or a written one with little detail. Silva listened, went back, and a few days later returned a detailed, itemized quote that I could understand. I really liked that. I studied it, made adjustments, and one more meeting produced an agreement we could both live with. Their detailed contract itemized what they would do, what I would do, and what I would buy for them to install. They also produced a list of task milestones and corresponding progress payment amounts. All this was very much within the spirit and the letter of state law. With everything spelled out ahead of time, my job went smoothly with no disagreements. They never pressured me for payments they had not earned. Throughout the job, Silva displayed the highest degree of competence, integrity, and best practices. Each employee did his tasks well, was friendly and received my input well. One of the owners dropped by most days to keep up on the work, and give direction for any problems that may have arisen. We love our new bathroom, and at the end I wrote them a special thank you letter for their good service. I would be very happy to work with Silva again, on a future project. Description of work: In January and February 2011, Silva Construction, Inc. remodeled our upstairs master bathroom. The job essentially consisted of completely tearing out an old shower, floor, sink and cabinet, and replacing them with good quality tile in the shower and floor, new cabinet, granite top, toilet, and miscellany. The entire job took 6 weeks, including some down time waiting for ordered items to arrive. The delays were never Silva's fault. I stayed involved in the project, doing a small amount of simple work myself, and with Silva's help selecting and purchasing most of my own fixtures, tile, cabinetry, etc., to the tune of about $8,000 of the total amount shown above. Silva did essentially all of the heavy work, including tear down, construction, finishing touches, etc.

Worked through a very complex build in the sand section and all turned out well. Have rehired them for some follow up work and would hire them again with another remodel/build project.

I rate them 5 stars because they were courteous and helpful regarding (1) addressing the issue of remaking a bathroom for handicap access and usage, with the contractor understanding from first hand experience being in a wheel chair the necessary details; and (2) doing a rush job for us in lieu of my mother's imminent release from the hospital and our need for the bathroom to be done. When my mom was release, it was a HUGE relief to have that bathroom ready.
