Working with Shore-Built Construction was an absolute pleasure. We underwent a total remodel of our kitchen plus two bathrooms, as well as installed new flooring and painted throughout our house while living in our home during the process. What could have been a chaotic three months was well managed by Shore-Built and their workers who exhibited the highest degree of respect and professionalism. Quite honestly, the work crews became part of our family. Even today, we still fondly reminisce about Mark, Jeff, Mike, and Aaron. Starting with the demolition work, we were amazed with the quality of that process. We were expecting sledgehammers smashing into counters and walls like you see on HGTV, and what we experienced was the most neat and orderly process imaginable. The Shore-Built workers take pride not only in their construction but take equally as much pride in their demolition. Once the remodel and construction started, we were amazed at the transformation. We thought that our kitchen had a small footprint and that we would be very limited on what could be done; we didn't even think that we would be able to have an island which we really wanted. However, to see the design that Ryan put together come to fruition totally exceeded our expectations. The kitchen still amazes us. Not only did we get our island, but it is the eye-catching centerpiece of the whole project. Finally, keeping the many logistics of this large project on track was Sue who guided us throughout the project and made us aware of key decision points and was always available for questions and consultation. As with any larger remodeling project, to say that things went 100% as planned would not be true. There were definitely surprises along the way when walls were opened up and sheet-rock was removed - some large, some small. But Shore-Built was able to adapt and modify plans to work with these new challenges to ensure that the finished product aligned with our vision. In summary, Shore-Built will help you make your vision a reality and they will do it with professionalism, craftsmanship, and respect.

From the design stage to material selections and construction the entire Shore-Built team was fantastic! The materials were so high quality, the custom work was exceptional and finishes were meticulous. We are so happy with the results. We HIGHLY recommend Shore-Built! I would highly recommend working with Shore-Built to create your dream kitchen which is what I did. This is my 7th house and new kitchen project. I had a very specific and unusual request for my Kitchen Island look which they NAILED!! They reviewed options with me and sample wood tones to make sure I was liking it and I do. Also everyone visiting my kitchen also loves it. Sue was helpful in visiting showrooms to look at countertop options until I was totally satisfied with the look and the price.They were timely and worked well with other contractors on the project. Shore-Built Construction has treated us like family in helping us with our renovation project. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, quality, and customer service. We highly recommend them, as we felt they extremely trustworthy and hard working. The custom cabinetry is of the highest quality, and the help and organization throughout the entire process made a full home renovation much less stressful than anticipated and we know that is all due to their dedication.

Last Spring (2017) my husband and I engaged Sue, Ryan and the Shore-built crew to build an addition onto our home and to do extensive renovations. We wanted to turn our small, 2 bedroom, 1 bath home into an open, airy and modern 2 bed, 2 bath bungalow. Sue and her team did and amazing job. The renovation required gutting the entire house down to the studs, knocking down walls, putting on a new roof, rebuilding the interior and adding an addition. Throughout the project Sue was very responsive and the craftsmanship and quality of work from her team of master builders is second to none. It was amazing to see our vision come to life; the team at Shore-Built not only gave us our dream home, but it was better than we could have even imagined. We'll be doing some more work in the near further and will definitely call Sue and Ryan to work with us again.

We hired Shore-built to completely renovate a 30 year old kitchen and build new cherry cabinets. My husband builds furniture and i have renovated several former homes so we are very particular!. We had looked at other "box Stores" and local places for ready made cabinets. Shore-build prices were very comparable and the quality of their product far exceeds any ready made! The work and the professionalism of the entire crew and subcontractors is outstanding. Ryan Leclair is nothing short of an artist. Not only did he coordinate and supervise all of the subs but he did the entire cabinet install himself. Being a renovation there were challenges but Ryan not only listened to what we wanted but he was able to create moldings and solutions we would never thought of! The job was on time and exactly the original quoted cost.

At this point, I have done four kitchen and or bathroom remodels in the various homes I have owned. This kitchen remodel was by far the best experience and most fun I have had. Yes I said Fun! The cabinet quality and workmanship of your entire team is excellent. Ryan was very attentive, knowledgeable and meticulous throughout the entire process. He was on site and/or checked in everyday from demo to final touches. The team was the best I have seen. Very respectful of our home and they made sure the area was clean at the end of every day. Other builders promise this approach but usually don’t deliver. Everyone treated our home and the cabinets as if it was their own home. The kitchen came out perfect! I hired Bob and Sue to completely remodel my master bath and laundry. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We are extremely detailed and Bob met every challenge with a smile. Shore-Built designed, created and installed a wall unit around an existing fireplace. This unit included storage base cupboards along with display shelves and display cupboards with lighting while incorporating the mantle of the existing fireplace. There was also cherry counter tops and backing incorporated in the unit. It complements the area while giving us some extra storage as well. We are very pleased. The staff at Shore-Built were wonderful. Their love for their craft shows in all that they do. They are easy to work with, very knowledgable, precise and timely. Our experience was great.

Can't say enough great things-from creating unique cabinetry for a post and beam bathroom, matching the cabinet color to a vintage green toolbox and incorporating a salvaged cast iron sink-our bathrooms are unique and inviting.

We are very happy that we chose Shore-Built, owned by Bob and Sue LeClair, for our home renovation, which involved near total transformation of our 70’s era ranch. This included moving the kitchen from the front to back of the house, enlarging the entry from the garage to made a mudroom and widening the stairway to the basement, a new bathroom, a new deck, and new flooring and painting throughout the home. There are unknowns in a project the scope of ours. Unexpected things are discovered and ideas evolve. When changes were needed, we were consulted and modifications were usually folded into to our project, most often within our contract. As a result, the outcome was better than our original plan. Bob and his crews were always on or ahead of projected schedule. Several times workers stayed well into the evening to reach their daily goals. Bob and all the Shore-Built folks are easy to work with. Anything we thought might be a problem, Bob considered an opportunity to make a happy customer. While Bob is the outgoing, on-site face of Shore-Built, Sue in the office, is just as efficient, responsive, and accommodating. They make a great business partnership. In addition, Ellen the designer and every one of his crew and subcontractors were pleasant and respectful, but most importantly, their work product was excellent. We lived in the home during its transformation and this saved us the cost of temporary housing and storage. We can’t say that it was fun (dust, noise, etc.), but Shore-Built made it as good as it could be. They installed the old kitchen sink and counter in a bedroom so we could have a temporary kitchen while our new one was under construction. A couple of times Shore-Built crews came in to help us to move our belongings from one place to another in the household.

We met with Bob and Sue to discuss our project after liking pictures from their work on Houzz. We met with them and their designer Ellen who were all very professional, friendly, and offered excellent suggestions and guidance to our project. We met with 2 other firms and it was an easy decision to go with Shore-Built. We remodeled a Master Bath and a complete basement. The entire project was completed on schedule. The MB had a delay in the shower door due to a subcontractor however Bob and Sue were open and honest about the situation, the delay, and the resolution was to our satisfaction. This was truly beyond their control and we felt they did everything they could to speed that up. The rest of the MB was fully completed and just waiting on the door. This was still completed within the timeframe of the entire project. The quality of their cabinetry is top notch. The quality of their construction is the same. Every day our home was left clean-swept and all tools put away. Our new spaces are gorgeous and we could not be happier with the outcome. There were many design choices along the way that they offered excellent opinions on and we ultimately went with them. Now that they are completed, we are extremely glad we did. We had a lot of detailed trim work in our project which was very important to me (so it would match the rest of the house) and it came out flawless. I would definitely hire them again, they have earned my trust and recommendation.

Three and a half years ago, Shore-Built designed and built our new kitchen with many custom features, and we have been enjoying it ever since. All employees and sub-contractors were very responsive, professional, and highly skilled. Coordination of the various construction phases and specialties (framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing) was essentially flawless. We had an issue with the first refrigerator delivered that actually our fault, but Shore-Built negotiated on our behalf with the appliance dealer to reach a mutually agreeable solution. They delivered excellent quality, on time, and within the agreed budget.

The team at Shore-Built are competent professionals in everything they have completed for us at our home in York Maine. Our projects were a new kitchen and built-in bookcases in the living room. The work done was perfect and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We hired this company after thoroughly comparing several alternatives. We evaluated response and helpfulness, toured construction spaces and inspected completed projects. Communication between customer and company was always outstanding. We are overwhelmingly pleased with our completed project by this company. Accommodating, kind, professional, patient and excellent work. Custom designed a tall cabinet, that fit in a very small kitchen, to afford me more cabinet space. Great attitude about doing this rather small project within my limited budget range. Owner went above and beyond, noticing that he could enhance the rest of my kitchen, by painting my other cabinet doors to match the paint on the cabinet he built. He took these doors back to his facility, painted them beautifully and reinstalled (all for a good price).

Shore-Built renovated our kitchen last spring and I love it!!! They are so easy to work with even when we need to make changes and rethink some things. Bill would just smile and say "There are no problems; just solutions". Their work is excellent and their staff courteous and knowledgeable.
