We chose Olympic Rockeries to install our driveway. They came on time, installed a terrific looking driveway and are neat and conscientious. Mike is very pleasant to work with, and great with geometry. There was a lot of work that went into the preparation of the area beneath the driveway to make it last. Olympic Rockeries met and exceeded our expectations. We had them widen our driveway and install 3' tall rockery on the uphill side of the driveway. We enjoyed Shinda's expertise that we also had him prep our side yard for pavers. Shinda had great ideas that really complimented the overall project. Shinda and his crew eye for details really made the project go effortlessly while being the most cost effective solution for our project.

This is the largest investment we've made in our home and involved a complete re-leveling & redesign of our back yard - 3 rock walls, a paver path with large concrete stairs, a new paver-based patio, and removal of trees and old wood deck. We're very pleased with Olympic Rockeries results, which exceeded our expectations, completed in a reasonable time frame, at a price that was competitive with other bids (not highest or lowest). All the work was completed professionally, beautifully, and with great attention to detail - the rock walls, paths and patio are all beautiful. Additionally, the crew were flexible about small modifications along the way, which made the final product that much better.

Re-graveled a large section of the lane to my house; removed a large amount of blackberry bushes from yard, leaving a rough grade I was happy with everything. They were extremely responsive/prompt in all phases of the project. Great customer service from the owners and all the crew members I interacted with. They responded to me the same day on my initial contact and came out to give me a quote the next day. The work was started the next couple days, and the work was completed in just over a day. They completed what we asked and a bit extra - they some extra gravel so they filled in some pot holes on parts of the lane that weren't specifically worked on.

We have had two projects that sort of combined into one with Olympic. The first was the installation of a rockery on the street side of the house and improve drainage with a "dry" river bed at the curb. The next was to terrace the back yard, add two sets of stairs and also a dry river bed for drainage. The final results are stunning and we could not be more pleased. Everything done as agreed and on budget.

Built 12" storm drain This was a complex project involving detailed conditions and instructions from city, county and state agencies. The drain was also laid in a very narrow 5 foot side-yard, plus we live on a lake which makes everything more complex. Finally the access to our house is a narrow one-lane shared driveway. This project could easily have turned into a huge nightmare. Olympic Rockeries did an exceptional job. The trench was excavated in this tight space with no collateral damage. Several unexpected occurrences such as a couple of large boulders and subterranean silt leakage were handled promptly and capably. The coring of the bulkhead was done with precision and no damage to the structure. The pipe was laid, connected up and everything was restored to perfect original condition. The various agencies and inspectors were all happy with the work, and everything was done in a timely fashion, within the course of a few days (once the work started), with no delays. Despite movement and stationing of heavy equipment down a narrow shared driveway the neighbors were not inconvenienced. I would highly recommend Olympic Rockeries.

Since this project was fairly straightforward, we were able to obtain estimates via photos and measurements. From the start we were very pleased with Shinda's responsiveness and clear communication, which was our top priority. We've never contracted a job of this scope, but the cost was less than expected, and we got a lot for our money. Once the crew kicked into gear, the project went fast and the crew's rock-setting skills were truly amazing. They also took care to protect our driveway and clean up and rough grade the site. As we had been advised, the lawn in the work area was wiped out, which was not a problem as we were planning to replace it. Our new rock wall is magnificent and a substantial upgrade to our property. Highly recommended.

Olympic Rockeries did a great job placeing 2 to 3 man rocks along a private road where we've had problems with vehicles driving and parking in the landscaping. They placed the rocks with care so the best side faced out, the finish product turned out great! They were quick, but not sloppy, took pride in the finished product.

On a scale of 1-10 we would give Olympic Rockeries a 10 - the best of anyone in all the work we've either had done or had help with on our 100 year old home and yard. They removed a large, old cement swimming pool (gunnite pool with tons of rebar) addressed a water drainage problem and created a great yard from a hole in the ground! We are very pleased with the quality of their work as well as their personable and professional manner. In addition, they carried out the work safely and in accordance with environmental regulations. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and they were flexible as much as possible in meeting our schedules and timeline and in our request to complete some of the work ourselves to save $. Their price for the work was reasonable and competitive with other landscaping/hardscaping firms. Shinda set an example for his work crews in working hard and providing them with the direction they needed in this complex project. They even installed some large rocks to pull the aesthetic design of the yard together and didn't charge us for them! In addition to Shinda, we'd like to thank the members of his crews that worked with us: Benjamin, Randy, Norm, Josh, and Carpino. They did their best and that shows in what they were able to accomplish. Finally, they were considerate of the neighbors in working quietly, with minimum dust and disruption, and were careful to not interfere with our neighbors' parking or blocking driveways or alley access. Shinda and team did an amazing job rebuilding our front porch. It has completely changed the look of our house for the better. From the outset, Olympic was great to work with. We had a general sense of what we wanted to do, but Shinda helped us think through the specifics and all of his suggestions from design down to the specific stone were spot on. The team was clean and respectful onsite, and worked really hard to get the project done in a timely manner. We would absolutely work with Olympic Rockeries again.

We contacted Shinda (owner) after seeing all the positive reviews his company has. We wanted to do a rock retaining wall on a water front cabin to prevent erosion. Shinda reviewed the pictures I sent him and offered several suggestions and made appointment with me to go onsite to review. Shinda was on time, professional, and really understood our wants/needs. Shinda expressed that our case would not need the expense of having a rock wall and could do lumber instead. This proposal allowed us to do two walls close to our initial budget. On the day of the project Shinda and Sabin assisted in ferrying over lumber via floating barge to the location. This was going above and beyond what I think most companies would be willing to work with as we did not have road access to that side of the house. Sabin and his teammate Carpino worked quickly to complete the project within 3 days and worked extremely well to communicate with my wife on her design/gardening needs. Sabin even took extra effort to allow our curious 6 year old to hang out while they are working hard. Anyone that can field that amount of questioning a child has and still produce such quality results is A+. We felt very comfortable with the entire work process and the communication was excellent on every level. Our walls are beautiful and just in time for planting season. We look forward to work with Olympic Rockeries again for another project next year.
