Shelter Interiors has an enthusiasm for the collaborate design process, whether working with a family to create a beautiful home or collaborating with a team of architects, engineers and builders to create a dynamic and creative workspace. Their skills with textiles, color and materials help them to create personalized, comfortable and appealing environments. We also enjoy working with far away clients remotely to create beautiful spaces where design professionals aren't readily available or don't fit their needs. Shelter Interiors works closely with clients to fulfill both their needs and their dreams. Shelter Interiors was recently recognized as one of 100 leading design firms in Connecticut Cottages & Gardens "Little Black Book" of Interior Designers.

We LOVED working with Shelter Interiors. Tricia and Carolyn were very attentive to our needs and vision, and always came with great suggestions. When furniture and other items were delivered, they were always there, making sure everything was set up perfectly. I also loved that they provided guidance on which items to splurge on vs. which items to go the more cost-effective route. We are absolutely in love with our new home and the beautiful new furnishings. We can't thank you enough!

I contacted Trish for some help with some design ideas for my great room. She was professional, warm, and did a wonderful job. We are enjoying the space and I know if I had done it myself, it would have taken so long to complete. Her terrific eye and attention to detail as well as creativity was a breath of fresh air. I couldn't be happier. The project was also completed in a timely manner, which made it a great experience.

Shelter Interiors helped us select finishes, fabrics, colors, and other design elements in our kitchen, powder room and family room projects. At all times, they were helpful, respectful and disciplined, keeping us on track, even when we veered off into indecision or disagreement. In some ways, they saw our vision even more clearly than we did and executed it beautifully. They coordinated well with our contractor and cabinet vendor. We are delighted with the services they provided and would not hesitate to use them again.

Tricia and Caroline were terrific. They designed a room for me that had a very difficult layout problem and their solution was smart, sensible and really worked in the final execution. Their excellent sense of style and design helped guide me through the process and their recommendations always felt right, both in terms of the look I wanted and in keeping to a budget. They were very professional in every aspect of the project, were always on time to every meeting, and were a pleasure to work with. The result exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them and would work with them again on another project.
