So far so good !!! I’ve used Bluford Jackson 40+yrs. ago on my first home. So naturally when I built my dream home 21 yrs. ago I had them install my maple hardwoods. They where stunning. After a water leak the hardwoods where damage. So Bluford to the rescue.... staining maple is quite difficult. They have been so very patient with me, in choosing a new finish. I’ve decided to go Black !!!! So nervous for the big change, but very excited. Knowing I’m in good hands with Cecil staining my floors helps easy my mind. Can’t wait to see my floors finished !!!

Laid beautiful gleaming wooden floors in our addition and old part of a 1910 Hyde Park home. Had to re-do one room a second time but they timed the installation to be while we were away on vacation.

Reasonable cost, timely, professional, cleaned up and arrived as scheduled, didn't mark walls. Did a complete and wonderful job. Replaced wood where required. Stuck to bid.

I asked them to replace a rectangular center section of my original hand laid hardwood floors exxactly as it was currently. Currently the floor had all equal length boards running from the front of the house to the back, the surrounding flooring chased the rectangular pattern. When they arrived to install the new flooring, it was of a different width from the original, of various lengths and they insisted that they had to run the flooring in the opposite direction as the original. I had a huge rectangular hole in my living room for months. When they finally sourced the correct length wood, they once again insisted on laying it in the opposite direction. I finally got them to lay the ne flooring in the correct direction. The new flooring was not the exact correct width, which resulted in 2 of the pieces being a totally different width than the rest. They also were incapable of matching the stain. i had to restain the wood myself. hey also left multiple defects in the new flooring that they had to come back and fix. this ordeal lasted several months. I wish I had never called them. I would have been better of to have just asking them to go away, leave the hole and contracted a qualified flooring company capable of doing restoration work. Throughout the process they were argumentative and never once admitted they were wrong. When I finally got fed up and started complaining, the office witch hung up the phone on me. I could never reccomend them.

My home was built in 1869 and I wanted a new floor for my living room, that would be fitting of the period of the house. Bluford Jackson came highly recommended by a friend who works on many high end restorations. Since the original floors were pine, this was the wood of choice, because of it's ability to take on character marks. To give an updated feel, the floor was stained black and given a satin finish. The project was completed on time and after 8 years the floor has taken on a lot of character, ie dents, scratches (active Springer Spaniel), etc., but the color and finish have held up. It is easy to maintain (damp mop) and receives compliments from all visitors, as to the beauty and of my "old" floor. In the future I plan to do more "new/old" floors in other rooms in the house.
