Ridgecrest homes was hired to be the general contractor for the construction of our new home on Cooper Mountain. The view lot that was provided for the project presented challenges for the design and construction phases. Ridgecrest worked cooperatively with the architect and the owners to deliver a high quality, custom home that took advantage of the views of the Chehalem Valley. We went to Mainly Cabinets looking for a quote on new cabinets as part of a kitchen remodel. We met Dale Tucker (Mainly Cabinets) and Karl Hoffses (Ridgecrest Homes). That started a beautiful collaboration that resulted in our spectacular new kitchen area. Karl, Dale and their teams provided creative suggestions for how we could remodel the kitchen area of our home - it went beyond just doing the kitchen. We ripped out a two sided massive stone/brick fireplace and replaced it with a 3-sided enclosed gas fireplace. We completely redid the kitchen (from the floor up). We opened up passages between the kitchen and two adjacent rooms. The result was not inexpensive but the quality was high and we continue to be delighted with the result. The project was completed on schedule. We were not living in the house when the work was performed.

My husband and I moved to Portland almost four years ago. Not a good time to buy or sell a house. However, we did find our current home and feel very fortunate, indeed. Karl (Ridgecrest Homes) builds well constructed quality homes and pays great attention to details. He has built many homes in the area and is well respected for his craft. Many of his sub contractors have worked with him for years, which to me, speaks well of his work and character. Karl responds to phone calls in a very timely manner and is available to answer questions we may have on our home regarding systems, construction modifications for our personal tastes or any aspect of the building. He takes great pride in what he builds and values relationships in all aspects of his work. A nice combination, if you ask me!

My husband and I hired Ridgecrest Homes to renovate our 1960's kitchen. Without question, I would highly recommend this company for any construction/renovation needs. All employees were incredibly respectful, communicative and highly skilled/knowledgable in their given jobs. Karl Hoffses runs a top-notch company. Renovations (versus new builds) typically require day-to-day problem solving and decision-making. Communications with us were consistent and productive. Considering unknown issues of an older house, deadlines were appropriately met. Clean-up, not typically a focus of construction folks, was done daily with great focus on maintaining a livable and clean environment during the renovation process. The end result was a FABULOUS kitchen that brought our home into the 21st century with great style and functionality.

Ridgecrest has resolved a variety of home modification needs. Additional kitchen cabinets were built and installed. They can"t be differentiated from the original. A bedroom was converted to a study. Book cases, file drawers, a built in credenza, and all trim and molding were created. A window seat was integrated into the design. A custom his/her desk was built. Because this room is near the front of the house, guests see it and are amazed at the quality and function of the space. In the master bedroom a decorative shelf above the bed was built and installed. The care for detail and the design work are wonderful. The men who do the work are gentlemen, courteous and efficient. Clean up is done every day. My wife and I appreciate the work and have recommended Ridgecrest to friends and family. They rebuilt my brother and sister-in-law's kitchen.

We hired Ridgecrest homes to demolish our current house and rebuild a new one in our Lake Oswego neighborhood. The project timeframe was December 2006 - 2007. From the moment we started working with Karl Hoffses and his team, it was apparent that communication and responsiveness were hallmarks of their professionalism. Their commitment to problem solving, timeliness, follow up, and of course, quality craftsmanship, made the experience wonderful. We love our new home and would hire them again without hesitation.

We bought a finished house from Ridgecrest in 2007. What impressed us both was the high quality both inside and externally. The finished woodworking inside was exceptional!! There were many details in this house that comparable houses did not have and we looked at many in our search before deciding on a Ridgecrest house. Karl Hoffses is a man of this word. Our dealings with him and his company at the time of purchase and afterwards have been excellent. We trust Karl and his company completely.
