Do not do business with this company.
BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.
Contracted with them to renovate our shower and replace bathroom counters.
- Overpriced for what we received.
- Their subcontractors are ridiculously overpriced...by hundreds of dollars.
- Promised a project manager to be present each step of the process, but he was rarely present, was unavailable, or didn't know the answer. When subcontractor didn't show up...he said "they didn't?".
-- Isn't knowing where your guys are located number one in construction project management?
- They are unethical in the sense they promise and promise, but in the end do not deliver on said promises.
-- We spoke solely about having frameless glass shower doors. Ended up with a framed door and then were told we are to blame for not understanding the contract.
-- The owner, Jack, made it our issue because we trusted the vernacular of the contract meant what his employees and subcontractor said it meant when we discussed our requirements dozens of times. (it's like being told you are getting a pepperoni pizza but the contract says meat while trusting that meant pepperoni).
-- Project Manager wasn't there for glass measurements.
I was going to give two stars because, in the end, the project was done with the glass being the only real aesthetic sticking point, but Jack said he would get with the glass contractor to try and find a remedy...never heard from him. Sealed the one star from me.
Bottom line: This company is poorly run, unorganized, and when faced with an issue that was ethically their fault, they wouldn't remedy it to our satisfaction AFTER being overpaid for what can only be described as OK work.
There are dozens of places that cost the same or less in Jacksonville. Go anywhere else. If not, you will most likely be disatisfied.
Terrible experience.

We found Prolific at the home show. Jack, the owner came to our house and brainstormed some great ideas. He made us feel like he had everything under control. We planned to take out a pantry, move a water heater, & remove 1/2 a wall. This included new drywall, new ceiling and tile floor repairs. The initial schedule given was ~3 weeks.
We quickly started losing days and couldn’t get a clear understanding of the plans from the PM, Ace or Jack. They would alternate between calling, emailing & texting us; would blame us for responding poorly & for messages being crossed. Twice they said my husband was lying to me!
When the cabinets were installed, I found a few nicks, patched holes from a poor build, missed screws, etc.
The last day of cabinet install, the installer was cleaning up my kitchen when I got home from work (I was 7 mos pregnant) & he started to pack up for the night. I asked him about the significant amount of sawdust that was on the other side of the kitchen peninsula and he said that because it wasn’t in the kitchen he couldn’t do it. I eventually got my own shop vac & cleaned it up myself. While he watched. The pregnant lady. Clean up his mess. I was beyond furious. Jack & Ace responded to my complaints about this situation & said all the right things.
They brought in our large L-shaped counter as one piece. But it was too big-there were nicks and dents and gouges in my front door, door frame, walls, and ceiling all the way from my front door to my kitchen. Again they didn’t tell me about the damage until I called them about it. And first they said the damage was already there!
Eventually they agreed to fix it at no charge to me. I later found out that the PM was part of the team who brought in the cabinet. The PM who was there for quality assurance. The PM who denied they caused damage.
When we inspected the counter, it had more than one screw going straight up through the bottom of it! It took 3 days before they came to inspect it. They offered $250 to let them patch. They promised me that I wouldn’t be able to tell. Wrong. The patches looked worse; easily visible & different texture. They eventually agreed to re-laminate them, and reinstall (With no $ credit) it in 2 pieces. 45 days after demo, we were able get a sink & running water.
The painters did a TERRIBLE job. The walls were not prepped appropriately, there were lots of uneven spots. They got paint on the counters, cabinets and tile backsplash. They missed spots. There were drips. Again we escalated. Again we had to work hard to get anyone to believe that we had a problem.
Eventually they agreed to come in on a Saturday. During, they complained that it was their day off and that some of the problem was due to the drywall installer. I still had to review their rework closely and had to make them redo and fix spots over and over. The PM Ace eventually came by and helped to oversee but it still required way too much oversight on my part.
All in all, it took 9 weeks for our 3 week project. 9 weeks living in construction while pregnant and with a 3-year old and a dog.
I’m writing this review approximately 18 months after the work was completed because it was such a terrible experience. My kitchen is beautiful. But the story behind how we got there just makes all the flaws prominent in my mind.

We hired Prolific Cabinetry and More to repaint our Wellborn Cabinetry in our home which included kitchen, 4 bathroom and 3 other built in cabinets in our great room. We chose this company is it is an authorized Wellborn Distributor Mr. Jack Brust, President of Prolific, is quite the salesman, speaks in absolutes on what his company can achieve in Cabinet refinishing. Conversely, he absolutely DOES NOT stand behind his work. After many "re-do's" and "touch-ups" our cabinets and door fronts have paint runs, orange peel, grit in paint finish and areas of peeling paint on door fronts, due to poor technique and poor prep work. The freshly painted walls adjacent to the cabinets, were over painted with cabinet paint as well. Sadly 14 of 19 of the cabinet interiors were damaged from improper tape removal. Mr Brust's solution to this damage was to apply wallpaper to conceal the damage. Mr Brust may say that we did not allow him to finish the project but after approximately 40 days for a project that was contracted to be completed in 7 days, it became quite apparent that cabinet refinishing is not one of Prolific Cabinetry and More's area of expertise. Mr. Brust refuses to file a liability claim with his insurance for damages sustained by his workers. Think twice before considering Prolific Cabinetry and More.

Do not use this company! Hard to believe they are still in business. The demolition process was very, very messy mostly due to using an old, well-worn black garage bag taped to the door way of the hall where the bath was being renovated. I expected some dust but this was awful. The girl came to the house to measure three (3) times. The day the cabinets arrived I went to check and commented that they looked like they were going to too big, extending out too far. I was told not to worry they would make it look nice. After they were finished I checked and was shocked to see they stuck out so far that the 3 1/4 inch molding on the right side of the door had to be completely removed, leaving me with just a molding on the top and left side of the door. Tried to close the door and the latch hit the cabinet face. Had to twist the handle in order to get in and out of the bathroom. Called the next day to explain and was told y a very heated manager of the business that "I am looking at the contract and it sure looks your signature on it agreeing to the measurements". So, I guess the fact they measured 3 times does not insure accuracy on their part and the customer has to go behind them to verify their job. I was told I would have to purchase the correct cabinets, so I was out another $2,000. Don't let them to ANY tile work. Had brown grout on the ceiling and mixed in with white grout on the glass blocks they did. Had some glass tile accents and they were gouged and scratched so bad they had to be replaced Their drywall work was just as bad. Toward the end they dropped off the edge of the earth. After not hearing from them for 2 weeks, I left a voice message telling them not to come back. Ended up doing some it myself and hiring the rest. It was a nightmare!

The beginning of the project was good. The owner seemed enthusiastic and nice during the project design. The project design was good on paper but one major thing got left out during the project-installation of the soft door close hinges on the cabinets. In lieu of arguing about it and delaying the project, we opted to let it go. After the demo was completed, things went downhill. Communication was a big issue and it caused project delays. I work from home so project delays meant down time for me. Nobody supervised the work done by the various contractors that we had to call the office for things that needed to be fixed. On the days work was scheduled to be done according to their calendar, sometimes no one showed up and we didn't know about it until we called the office. The owner then blamed his staff when he came to collect the final payment for the communication problems and mistakes in the work. The contract states the walls will be "paint ready" when all the work was completed. I had to pay someone to fix the walls before re painting.

Comment from Prolific Cabinetry and More:
Prolific Cabinetry has no record of working with a Celeste Garcia or any client with the last name of Garcia in 2014.
I worked with Prolific for over 2 years upgrading the interiors of an apartment community. They provided professional employees who did an outstanding job.

Owner seemed very service oriented in the bidding process, but once awarded our job was turned over to someone else. I ended up watching the subs and making sure that problems were noted and fixed. Used AWC cabinets which are priced well, but the cream finish is very poor quality.
