I hired PB Built to build my modern home. Tony assured me that his company had the expearence to build my home even thought he did not have any homes he could show me that looked like mine. The finished work was attrocious, the roof was not done properly and I have subsequently had to spend $15,000. to repair the water damage and make the drains work properly. Tony took no responsibility and has refused to make the necessary repairs.

I have spoken to the roof manufacturer representative Scott Krug from Fibertite after his inspection of your roof as well as an approved Fibertite roofing applicator he had to accompany him on the inspection, Mr.Paul Reichert. Their findings indicate Thermaseal Roofing an approved Fibertite Applicator did not install the roof in accordance with the manufactures required guidelines. To complicate matters I have been informed by the owner of Thermaseal Roofing that they have or are in the process of going out of business.

The results of my discussion with Paul Reichert indicated the corrective work will cost between $10,000-20,000. He estimated a fee of $95/hour instead of his normal $75/hour due to having unfortunately experienced dealing with you during his inspection.

I have consulted my attorney and have concluded that PB Built can assist you in rectifying this matter and work with you to have the parties responsible reimburse you for these costs or you can handle the matter directly.

I recognize that if you elect to handle the matter directly you will also attempt to make a claim against PB Built. However, please be advised that PB-Built bears no responsibility for this roofing issue for several reasons. As you know, we have a Cost Plus a Fee Agreement, and you specifically ordered that PB Built use a Fibertite roof. PB Built then provided you with several Fibertite-approved applicators and you required PB Built to select the lowest bidder by a considerable margin. Furthermore, due to the highly technical and specialized roof application PB Built also advised you that we should engage a roof consultant to oversee this work and you refused to pay for this additional service. Finally, PB Built also stopped the roofing work at the commencement to deal with the parapet high design deficiency, and once again recommended that you engage a roof consultant to address the issue and you refused to do so. It appears now that this parapet high design deficiency was not properly mitigated by Thermaseal Roofing, resulting in the apparent issue you are now facing. Accordingly, the additional cost for the corrective work is your responsibility and not the responsibility of PB-Built.

Nonetheless, PB Built is willing to work on your behalf for no additional fee to help with your claims against the responsible parties (Thermaseal and Fibertite) however you will have to bear the costs and then hopefully get reimbursed as a result of your claim.

I bought a very nice new home from this builder for approximately $2,000,000. The house plan, quality upgrades were top notch. There were a few minor problems that the builder fixed right away to our satisfaction. A couple of problems were fixed by this builder that showed up in the second and even third year of our residence. I would recommend this builder to everyone, as honest and trustworthy builder of top quality large upscale homes.

PB Built was creative, punctual, professional, cost efficient and built a beautiful home for my family. They were creative in designing our house, punctual in that the house was actually done ahead of schedule, professional in every aspect: every person that I dealt with from the owner, to the designer, to the foreman and even the subs they hired was professional and responsive, cost efficient in that they passed savings on to me and consistently provided me with good advice on where to spend extra money and where to save money and we absolutely love our house. We considered selling and building on a different lot and we weren't even going to interview other builders. Our real estate agent showed us a new home constructed by PB Built when my "husband" and I were relocating for work from PA to southeast FL. The model home wasn't in our price range, but after seeing it, nothing else compared. PB Built generously offered to help us build a scaled-down version of the model that was within our budget. The company is family owned and operated. They are proud of their work, virtually guaranteeing a successful outcome that both the owners and builder are delighted with. The PB Built team worked with us on every step of the project from selecting the best lot to architectural design, fixture selection and a punch list that we the owners dragged out to a year post-completion. As first time builders, we were learning as we went and PB Built patiently helped us at every step along the way. The quality of every component of our house exceeds our expectation and never fails to elicit endless raves from guests. After having come highly recommended by several friends of ours and conducting our own due diligence by interviewing with numerous builders in the area, PB Built stood out WAAAAY above all the rest!
