About Us

Otrada Design L.L.C. is known for stylish Interiors that play to openness and simplicity. There is an elegance in the edited spaces the Raleigh interior design firm creates that allows for the movement of everyday living. Anita Bhattacharya is an NCIDQ certified interior designer and offers her clients more than 20 years experience in the realm of both residential and commercial design. She has practiced with architecture firms in Boston, Tampa and now Raleigh. As she collaborates with her clients, Anita adds clarity to their vision. I'm in the process of building an addition to my home to include a new bathroom, kitchen, pantry, etc. The floor design and space needed a creative designer who could look at the space and and propose good ideas. Ms. Bhattacharya was very helpful. Took the time to answer my questions and proposed creative ideas.

I hired Otrada LLC to work with me at the recommendation of my contractor. True to the referral advice, my investment of time was greatly reduced because Otrada was talking to the contractor, preferred vendors and making advance selections for me to minimize my options and scope of the task...exactly what I want in a design partner. Work is yet to begin so I don't have photos to share of the implementation but I look forward to that opportunity before YE. Otrada LLC has the creativity, organization and drive to get the job done with confidence. I'm sure I'll be leaning on Otrada LLC for more guidance as my project gets underway.

Anita is very responsive and receptive to our needs and decorating tastes. She helped to guide us through the whole process: organized for a contractor to come to our home for the remodeling, set up appts at cabinetry stores, came to our home multiple times to go over color selections, and furniture design. She does a great job, she is knowledgable and generous with her time.

We worked with Anita to furnish our living room, dining room, and foyer in our new home. She has years of experience and excels at understanding your needs and personal style, while effectively balancing your budget. Our home has an open concept style, and Anita quickly and thoughtfully developed a design that allows the rooms to flow seamlessly. We couldn’t have achieved the look we were going for without her support and have been more than pleased with the results. We will look forward to continue working with her more. Anita is clearly an expert and a must have, if you’re looking for a unique and personal design for your home.

We recently built a custom home and knew we would need professional help with the numerous decisions we had to make. We were looking for someone who would could understand our style and bring it all together. Anita guided us in selecting a color scheme, granite countertops, ceramic tile, carpet and wood floor selection, a lighting plan and all of our bathroom and kitchen fixtures. She worked extremely well with the tile, granite, and lighting professionals. Our house turned out better than we could have imagined and we thank Anita for having the patience and professional talent to bring the project to fruition.

Anita has been great to work with - whether it's an all day shopping trip, helping us find finishing touches online or whatever else. Her plans are well considered and detailed, and we are thrilled with how things are coming together! In addition, there are a few times when she has helped us out in a pinch - letting people in when we weren't able to be around and otherwise going well beyond her official role as designer. It's nice to work with someone so dedicated - I highly recommend her!

Anita with Otrada LLC planned and oversaw the execution of the interiors for our new house. She worked very successfully with the art and household items we had moved from our former house, came up with several clever solutions to furniture layout, brought samples of rugs and fabrics, and used her excellent contacts in the Raleigh, NC area for upholsterers, area rug fabricators, and drapery workrooms. She listened carefully to both me and my husband and we chose virtually everything she recommended. And, best of all, she was on time and within budget.
