About Us

Carmelo Oliveri a native of Bergen County NJ graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Education and taught for 5 years. While teaching he began investing in real estate purchased distressed home, rehabbing and reselling them and pursued his real estate career full time by establishing Oliveri Development LLC in 2005. When Oliveri received numerous inquiries from friends, neighbors and family to remodel their homes he decided on providing project management and assist them clients remodeling and building their homes. Over the years, he has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and service throughout Northern New Jersey. As our many residential projects and satisfied clients will attest, we attend to every detail of every project – from realizing your larger vision to flawlessly executing the finishing work. Combining our expertise in architecture, design and general construction, our team fields three highly trained and seasoned Project Managers, twelve Carpenters and an administrative staff. I called Mel to get an estimate for my dad due to a leak that is reoccurring. My dad got an estimate from the previous roofer which was outrageous. I contacted Mel and asked him if he could give me an estimate. His guys came out the next day, temporarily patched up what they could do and Mel himself came over to give the estimate. He left it contract in the mailbox and also reviewed it over the phone with me. He was very responsive as there were a lot of rainy days and my dad was getting antsy. Finally we had 2 straight days of sunshine and there were snowed up and got the work done. He called me to let me know it was done and sent pictures. He took the payment in installments instead of charging me the whole thing amount once I signed the contract. He was easily avail via text and re assured me if the leak returned he would have no problem going back. Honest guy and finally got the job done at a decent price.

Carmelo and company were very professional they were promptly there each morning at 7:30 am each day and put in a full day... they were very attentive to the debris being left in my neighbors yards on each side and made sure the site was clean at the end of the day... Mr Carmelo had to replace Several of the sheathings and did so without adding any fees stating it was covered in his price... You can’t beat his pricing the only thing I wish could change was the weather being on Our side but eventually the job was done and referrals are coming his way ...

My home was struck by a fallen tree, I am extremely pleased with the workmanship Oliveri development provided. In three days the damage was replaced with my home looking all original again. The workers are timely and orderly leaving no mess behind. Not many treat your property as well. I am very pleased and if ever need to work on my home again I am calling Mel of Oliveri development.

Mel and his team did a great job fixing a weathered roof for us in East Orange. We had contacted Mel Friday, March 16th, we were quoted out within a few hours as he was in the area to take a look at the property and the work was completed by his crew the next day. His response to text and phone before, during and after the process was on point. I'd recommend Oliveri Developments to anyone wouldn't for a quality contractor in the surrounding area.

I acquired my first multifamily investment property the past November 2017. It was a bank owned property vacant in Newark NJ for a log time and was in need of a lot of work. I've known Carmelo for some time as a local real estate investor and builder so I asked him if he would look at the job and give me an estimate. I hired him and we never look back. Mel and his crew have been a tremendous help getting me through the newbie issues, although he kept asking for consulting fees, I don't know how I would have handled the project without him. He did great work and never took advantage when issues came up, and they did come up, helping to keep cost down. I would recommend Carmelo and Oliveri Development to anyone.

Carmel Oliveri and his crew did a complete refurbishment of our bathroom and a partial refurb of our bedroom. The job was incredible. The work was done to the highest possible standard and the crew were very hard working and fast. Carmel was in contact with us the whole time and is professional, curtious and was always willing to talk to us about ideas and changes we wanted to make along the way. We love the work they did. Bathroom and bedroom look brilliant!
