I was recommended Paul and the team at Not So General by a very trusted friend of mine. I'd had some bad luck with designers and architects and needed someone that I could trust and was reliable. I bought a hillside house that had good bones but hadn't been updated since being built in 1988. Paul came in and transformed the place. Working with my GC, he took the home down to the studs and basically rebuilt it upwards. It now feels like a brand new home. With his vision and space-planning, the home is now light-filled, open plan and maximizes both the square footage and the views. He thinks like a home-owner. He kept rigorous checks on the budget and presented spreadsheets and invoices to me regularly. He came in below what I had been quoted by other designers. As I wanted to be involved in the process, he presented options for everything from floors to tiles to appliances. He was such a pleasure to work with and has great taste that I asked him to help with all furnishings and art. I have now been settled in the place and I love it every day!
