Wayne did a great job on our landscape design, including drainage, drip irrigation, concrete patio, seat wall, and drought-tolerant landscaping. He was friendly, honest, and thorough. Wayne worked with us to include the kinds of plants we wanted, and was available for any questions/changes that we had throughout the project. We worked with Marc Mason as our contractor to execute this project, and they made our dream backyard vision come to life. I would definitely work with both of them again.

My husband and I are replanting our front yard and had no idea as to what plants to choose. Neither one of us have knowledge regarding plants and landscape design. We wanted to make sure we chose the rights plants, which do not over-grow, are drought tolerant and also provided a variety of color. We wanted to make sure the plants we chose work with our home's design and fit with the feel of our neighborhood. Thankfully, we found Wayne who graciously guided us through this process. Wayne has a wealth of knowledge, is patient and very professional. He answered all our many questions and provided a wonderful plan within a very short period of time. We hired Wayne to re-do the front lawn space of our Spanish revival house. We wanted to eliminate turf space and create a large patio spanning the width of the front yard. We chose to work with Wayne because he is a professional landscape architect (not a contractor) with extensive experience. Even before meeting we could tell from the website that his knowledge of house and landscape styles would be an asset to our project. In the first meeting we realized the project was a quite complicated with multiple concrete walls and relocated stair. Wayne chose to focus first on the hardscape so that we would not get bogged down on plant selection. He created a fantastic sketch on-site that we were able to talk through/revise on the spot. His first round of drawings came the following day. This included the drawing with details for walls, irrigation, stairs, footings, wall caps, fountain, etc. It even included a list of resources to allow us to make fully-informed decisions regarding hardscape materials. The best part of Wayne's creative process was his understanding of the style of house in designing the patio. We also liked that he referenced what neighboring houses have with an emphasis on remaining part of the larger grouping of houses. When it came time to select plants he provided a simple map of the planting areas and identified plant locations. For each location he gave 2-3 options so we could provide our preferences. He even recommended/located eight large pots with recommended plants. It was very helpful that he provided a great list of qualified local contractors. We are so glad we worked with Wayne for our design rather than going straight to landscape contractors. Wayne's fee was very reasonable for the expertise he brought to our project. Now we have detailed plans and - we are ready to get bids and select a contractor.

Wayne is a thorough and patient landscape designer. He takes into consideration the homeowner's needs and desires while carefully incorporating his many years of design experience into the project. I would completely recommend Wayne and his expertise for your landscape project. Kim

Just what I was looking for: Hardscape plans for each of my five yards, all done in one day, with construction details and suggestions for materials attached. Wayne spent time with me in each garden in the morning, listening to my thoughts and suggesting what he thought each might need, making temporary drawings on the spot to show me and to discuss. When my plan might have consequences to warn me of, he did that and always had suggestions for alternatives. He has definite opinions, which I appreciate. I felt I had someone I could actually discuss plans with. He drove off after five hours here, leaving me final 11 x 17" hardscape drawings, and followed up by email that evening with details for construction and materials choices. I had the whole package in one day. Each crew bidding for the work will have the same information to bid on. If I have questions or changes to discuss, he's always there. He's a pro. Yay.

Wayne created a beautiful French garden design for our front and back gardens. He worked with me to include the kinds of plants I preferred and he even found a way to incorporate two stone benches and a statue that I already owned and had hoped to use. He did everything I needed in order to submit his plans to contractors for bidding with a very quick turnaround. Wayne is very experienced and a true professional in every sense of the word. I highly recommend him.
