Ron Mullings and his team are the absolute best building trade firm I've worked with in more than 20 years of buying and renovating homes. Ron is extremely thoughtful and thorough and brings a classic eye and a Zen master's energy to his projects. I'm most impressed with his outstanding principles and ethics: Although it might be profitable for Ron to accept a job, if he feels it will leave the homeowner with a less functional room or outcome, he will gently give constructive feedback and explain why he's declining to do the requested work. Mullings Restoration is extremely reasonable -- His fees are significantly less than other firms who perform much, much less quality work. In addition, he's always mindful about staying firmly on budget and makes a point of alerting you to potential project problems and even minor cost and time overruns. Mullings Restoration is the epitome of a home renovation firm. I can't recommend Ron and his wonderful team highly enough.

Ron was very quick and responsive in replying to my questions and concerns. He was very professional and honest about any potential concerns. The apartment looks beautiful, and totally new, so much better than before. His price was much more reasonable than other contractors and quality was still excellent! His final price also did not deviate much from his price estimate. My only concern was that the apartment took longer to renovate than our projections, mostly though due to reasons out of his control such as bad winter weather, and coop rules and restrictions. Ron's workers were very kind and helpful. You do have to pick out and purchase your own materials (other than roughing) but that was actually a good thing because then you can purchase what you like. Ron was also helpful in his suggestions of places to purchase the materials and what would look good. There were one or two instances where I purchased materials that would not have looked good and he provided me with advice so I could change them before installation. He also subcontracted a reasonable plumber to work on the apartment, so I did not have to worry about finding my own plumber. Overall, the quality was great and I highly recommend Ron.

I called Mullings Restoration & Development on a Saturday morning and spoke with Ron. A few hours later, Ron arrived at my apartment in Queens to survey the much needed bathroom renovation and agreed with me, this was a total gut job. I received his official estimate the next day (Sunday) and was surprised at how reasonable the quote was, especially considering other quotes I received were extremely over priced. After a day or two of mulling over the decision, I hired Ron with confidence. He and his team have been very professional and I am extremely pleased with his work. Renovations can quickly turn into nightmares and Ron made a stressful situation almost care-free. All of my concerns were addressed and put at ease. Ron is extremely knowledgeable, hard-working and a professional contractor who I gave complete access to my apartment while I worked during the day. At the end of every day, I was pleasantly surprised of the progress he was making and I knew I made the right decision.
