I am a Florida State General Contractor, I have built several homes and remodels that Mark Pemberton designed over the past 30 years, including four of my personal homes. Mark always brings his artistic talents to his design concepts to create stunning floor plans with unique elevations. Mr. Pemberton was recommended to us by our contractor, Sal Sammaro of MJ Construction. We bought an old riverfront home that had been partially destroyed in Hurricane Michael. The plan was to tear the house down completely. It was suggested to us to keep afew walls and build on the old footprint, thus saving a good deal on fees. I had a picture of a home that I loved and gave it to Mr Pemberton. He wanted to know exactly what we wanted included in the house plan. Being that we were downsizing, we were very explicit in what we wanted . When we reviewed the first renderings of the house, we were so pleased that everything we asked for was included in the plan. It required very few changes to reach a plan that was agreeable to us. Construction took approximately a year to complete with very few changes made to the original plan. To say that we are pleased with the house is an understatement! The house looks like the picture I gave Mark, the interior is open and flows perfectly. We pinch ourselves every day that we are fortunate enough to call this house home! I can’t say enough about Mr Pemberton. He listened to us and designed a house that was exactly what we asked for! I recommend him with 5 stars!

We were referred to Mark by our builder. We found Mark to be really easy to work with and a great listener. He almost "sees" what is being described to him, then interprets it even better than you've imagined it. Very talented, he thinks "out of the box" and comes up with more than one option to fine tune the details of the design. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We love our home. It's beautiful, airy and very comfortable. We were so fortunate to have found Mark and would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

Mark did an awesome job on a renovation and addition of our home. It was tricky to incorporate the new garage and entry way into the old house, tie the roof lines together and have it blend well. It turned out better than we had hoped.

We had a complicated problem - a 1920's bungalow raised 4 steps with a charming front but a tiny galley kitchen with a 7 foot ceiling and flat roof on a converted porch, a ground-level breezeway and converted garage, and a "back house" cottage on a different level - so 3 different levels. We wanted a big dramatic kitchen, dining room & bath, new media room and a smooth flow through all the rooms with minimal steps up and down. And we wanted to preserve and improve the historic charm. It seemed impossible, but Mark worked patiently and professionally through all the challenges and came out with a stunning design that met all our requirements and that our builder was able to construct. We are very happy with the result.

Mark Pemberton, Pemberton Home Design, came highly recommended to my husband and I as someone who could help us design our new home. We did not have prior experience in building a new home, so we desired someone with a great deal of experience who could guide us in this process. Upon our first meeting with Mark in person, we immediately felt confident in his expertise as a home designer based on his extensive experience. Mark Pemberton is the architect that designed our home. When we interviewed different architects, it was important to us to work with someone who not only could design a floor plan with a nice flow, but someone who understood our style. My greatest concern was finding someone who would see our vision for the outside elevation, Mark was perfectly in tune with what we wanted. We have nonstop compliments on our home and people frequently ask who was the designer. So happy to have worked with Mark!

Mark has been very helpful in areas of designing a house where experience can only reflect his perfection! His knowledge is priceless. He will work with you step by step into building your own customized house as well as help you with minor details upon construction such as; ceiling heights, crown moldings, window sliders, doors, decor, paint, etc. Basically, Pemberton Designs, will take your hand and walk through "every" aspect of your construction and assure you perfection. Mark by far has nothing but exceptional throughout the entire process. We are 6 months into construction and he continues to visit the site monthly to assure everything is expedited and completed to his meticulous standards. Mark has been a pleasure to work with as our contract architect over the last 2 years. He has worked with us on many projects to date and his insight, skill and extensive knowledge have been immeasurable. He has always made himself available and has been a driving force in creating the most exceptional water front residence in Daytona Beach and designing several distinctive spec homes throughout Florida. We hired him to design an outdoor living area. He did a phenomenal job, was very attentive, met the deadlines that he agreed to, and designed it exactly as we wanted. It turned out more beautifully than we had hoped! He guided us through lots of intelligent and user-friendly design features...his knowledge obviously comes only from years of experience, and is unrivaled as far as we are concerned. I have worked with Pemberton Homes Design for the past year and a half with a custom homebuilder in Palm Coast, Florida. I can honestly say he is the most thorough and creative architect and or Designer I have ever worked with. I was introduced to Mark by the custom builder. After an onsite visit to our ocean and golf course lot and a couple of collaboration meetings, Mark put together an award winning design that incorporated all the views and architectural details that the property provided for and did so in an extremely professional manner. Mark was referred to us by our contractor. From our first meeting we knew he was the man for us. He sat at our dining room table and looked through idea clippings we had and listened as we described what we had in mind. Which to say the least was very vague. We had a home with a very 1960's design which we wanted to update to something warm and family friendly. We observed that he never took a note, he just really listened to us. He came back with a design that absolutely blew us away! We asked how he took one meeting and turned it into our dream home without taking any notes and he stated " I just listened and painted a picture in my mind" and what a picture he painted! Our renovation was completed 7 years ago and it never ceases to amaze and please us. We recommend Mark highly!

Mark helped us out when the architect we hired didn't complete the plans. He not only completed the plans in a very timely manner but he also made recomendations that would work better for us.

This was the 5th house that my husband and I had built but we could not have gotten it "exactly right" if Mark had not been on board with us. We own a well designed and built 1926 bungalow, which had a not-so-well designed addition in the 1950s. We loved and treasured the original part of the house, but wanted to remove the addition and add a master bedroom suite and home office that would blend in with the charm of the original house and its steep-pitched (12/12) tile roof. We talked to three architects (paid two to draw concept sketches) but no one could – or wanted to take the time to - determine how to tie into the stick-built roof and create an addition large enough to meet our needs but not overwhelm the original structure. That is, no one until we met Mark Pemberton. We had heard of Mark and knew he had designed a number of beautiful – and very large – homes in central Florida and thought that our little addition would not be of interest to him; but decided to contact him. It was clear from our first meeting that if anybody could solve our design problem it would be Mark. It didn’t come easy but he was engaged, involved, innovative, and persistent. With Mark’s attention to detail – and a builder and roofer (who found and installed matching 1926 Ludowici tile) with the same craftsman dedication – we have a wonderful addition to our home.
