UNIQUE, STYLISH, INSPIRING. These three words are the driving force behind, HERMOGENO DESIGNS (HD), an up and coming, award winning and published Los Angeles based Interior Design Company. HD creates custom mid-range to high-end residential, commercial, event and retail remodel/renovation, new construction, decorating and tenant improvement projects from Sonoma to Los Angeles. Taking projects from design concept to final move-in, HD ensures a commitment to the highest level of service to create beautiful and functional interiors specific to each client’s needs. Our team of industry professionals and local artisans help bring spaces to life with custom designed finishes, furnishings and even artwork. Since its establishment in 2005, HERMOGENO DESIGNS has designed a vast array of projects from a 3,400 square foot custom, new residence to the public spaces of a low cost senior housing development in Sonoma to a hair salon in the San Francisco Financial District to two Arthur Murray Franchised Ballroom Dance Studios. HD offers its residential clients custom upholstery and window treatments while commercial and retail services include branding making the firm truly full service. HERMOGENO DESIGNS continues to garner industry recognition through awards and publications for an eclectic, Californian, contemporary design aesthetic using a mix of deep colors, comfortable fabrics, special furnishings and unexpected finishes. HERMOGENO DESIGNS work has been featured in Design Journal Magazine, Window Fashions Vision Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle and www.tagmyspace.tv. Hunter Douglas and Window Fashions Vision Magazine honored HD with 2nd place in the Wonderful Walls category in their annual Envision Competition 2008. Mark also spoke about his passion for design in an interview for www.juliosol.wordpress.com. Mark will also make his first television appearance on February 9, 2009 on OUT Spoken TV (local channel 11) representing DIFFA’s Dining By Design San Francisco, 2008 event. Supporting fundraising events and non-profit organizations is an important part of HERMOGENO DESIGNS. HD has donated event design services to HIV/AIDS and Red Cross fundraisers. HERMOGENO DESIGNS uses the power of design to help increase awareness of social causes. With a distinct, unique, fresh point of view, HD is proving to be a successful member of California’s design community and hopes to build HERMOGENO DESIGNS as a lasting brand.

Mark was fantastic. He helped design, coordinate, and plan our kitchen, living room, attic and whole house project. He was flexible when it came down to budgets and he was responsive with our design changes. He worked well with our contractor and helped get excellent results. We will definitely use him again for our next project. We are happy with his work and his style.

I had never worked with a design firm before engaging Hermogeno Designs to assist in topping off a kitchen and bath remodel with a full-home makeover. Unclear on my goals and without a specific budget, I was gracefully led through an intake process that identified how I lived my life and how I wanted to use my home for the future. The design concepts that were presented as a result captured my aspirations, and the design styles challenged my own aesthetic approaches. Just what you would engage a design professional to do! From design details through execution, I found Hermogeno Designs easy to work with and professional in every regard. The final design is a combination of the designer's vision and the client's realization of how they would live in the finished space. It's a conversation. What I now know was that through the conversation two-way learning takes place…the client learns how the design details add up to the complete picture while the designer learns more fully what the client is willing to consider (and even to push the envelope sometimes) and how they live the details of their life. The result is both beautiful and practical. The project was completed in a timely manner, and the budget was always known. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. And several years on, the design has met the test of time…still a beautiful set of rooms that I enjoy fully year-round. I would not hesitate to recommend Hermogeno Designs to anyone desiring a beautiful setting to share with family and friends.

Hermogeno Designs assisted us in our remodel of two bathrooms and a master bedroom. Mark was invaluable in connecting us to valuable resources, and gave us his insight on interior design. At the beginning we had no idea what design style, textures or colors we wanted. He was very patient with us and provided many different ideas and samples to review. He even took us to several tile and carpet stores to look at samples, firsthand. The number of possibilities was daunting, but Mark narrowed down our choices to a manageable few. In the end, we feel very comfortable with the choices we made. For us, this was a big project. Without the help of Hermogeno Designs we could not have completed this project, nor would we have achieved the outstanding results. We will enjoy our new bathrooms and bedroom for many years!!

Commented: What is the name of backsplash?Thank you for the interest. The backsplash is made up of a ceramic pencil trim from Floor & Decor (at bottom on top of countertop), carrara marble and ceramic chair rail by MSI on top.

Commented: Outlet coversThe mirror and the covers were fabricated by a custom glass company that I found out is now out of business. If you are in the Los Angeles area I can refer you to a company I now use.
