About Us

My firm, Mary Ann Downey Interior Design has been designing for residential and commercial projects for over 40 years. My design associate Alicia Cole, and I pride ourselves on qualities we feel essential to a successful project. We begin the process at our first meeting by getting to know you through our client fact sheets and also provide thought provoking remodeling questionnaires for individual and unique results. Purchased my last house and needed help remodeling it to accommodate discrete aging in place-style. Worked with Alisha who listened to my preferences and incorporated them with a beautiful palette of colors, tile and countertops for the kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend this firm. They listened and were always available and open to my needs and requests.

I was preparing to remodel my kitchen, and asked Alicia Cole to help me with product selections and color coordination. She has a wonderful artistic sense and was very easy to work with. She did not attempt to impose any particular style, but was focused on helping me achieve what I wanted in the project. She was very helpful, and her input made the product selection process much more efficient. I am sure the result will be better because of her input. I highly recommend her.

Mary Ann did a wonderful job on the space plan for addition/remodel project. It included all of the special items I wanted to get out of the space. The result is phenomenal. Alicia assisted me with my bathroom remodel and had great ideas to make the best use of the space and was a tremendous help with selection of materials and all of the little details. The bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. Both are great to work with.

MAD is wonderful to work with. They have creative ideas that fit all tastes. My husband is conservative and I like to try bold, different things and MAD listened and presented us with ideas that we both really loved. The drapes they did for our living room and bedroom completely changed the environment in our home. We have kids and a busy life and they also worked with our schedule - it has been a great experience.
