I enjoyed working with Cheryl on my kitchen/living room remodel. Very accommodating with my add-ons and changes to the plan! I felt like I was on a Love It or List It episode. Before Cheryl worked her magic I wanted to move, but now I love it!

My husband and I worked with Cheryl when we moved into a condo. It was challenging incorporating existing design, with our unusual art and furniture we had already purchased before we had engaged Cheryl. Cheryl was very accommodating, flexible and budget conscious. It was a difficult puzzle trying to incorporate furniture we did not have, and rework existing artwork and constantly changing priorities. She was very patient and utilized images to help us decide what needed to be done before we engaged contractors. Her contractors were on time, on budget and really good to work with. She came up with really creative budget friendly ideas, especially for our granddaughter's nursery. Not only did she handle the design elements, but also the project management which was a huge benefit. She made what I thought would be a frustrating, difficult part of moving to be enjoyable and the results have been terrific.

Karen was amazing to work with! She has a wonderful eye for color and design. She helped us remodel an entire floor of our house from top to bottom and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Karen was the professional I needed for guidance in my redecorating project. My main objectives were to move the laundry from basement to upstairs, freshen/lighten colors, replace carpeting in three bedrroms, and replace older wall art and furniture with new. Karen suggested something I hadn't thought of: turn my family room into a dining room (creating a connected kitchen/dining area) and convert the former dining room into a "leisure" space (which I call the R&R room for rest and relaxation -- reading, music, cocktails, or just casual gatherings with family or friends. I've run into a few glitches along the way, delaying the project -- so completion date may be mid- to late November. But I'm happy with the way it's finally turning out, and it couldn't have happened without the guidance, supplier/retail store recommendations, color suggestions, creative ideas, and overall expertise Karen provided!

We are basically just starting to renovate , so my consultant did work with me and gave really good ideas! I guess we just weren’t expecting the new couch or sofas to be so expensive. We will continue with our consultant , but will also have to save a bit more money to proceed.

I reached out to lyn and was excited to talk with her about my remodel project. She said the initial visit would take about and hour and I would be charged a fixed amount. The first visit lasted about 15 minutes with someone from the office. She did not ask a lot of questions snd said she would get back with me. She sent a design and asked if she could bring a builder over for measurements. Of course. A few weeks later I receive another bill for 2x the amount of the “initial visit “. I was floored. Had not heard from the woman that brought the builder over. Very disappointed and would not use again.

I was helped by Jill Jones who was very helpful and responsive. She helped me find the most beautiful quartz and made excellent suggestions about my mirror!

Michelle was wonderful! She was always on time and didn't rush. She listened and she knew exactly what I wanted the end product to be.

I come at this from a rather unique vantage point. Lyn has not built my bath, reconfigured my kitchen, helped me sell my house. She's been in my home. Lyn has a special gift. She sees what you cannot see yourself. She picks colors that pull everything together. I have a nice painting in my dining room that just hung there but once she picked the right wall color it went from ok to stunning. We retained Lyn as interior designer for remodeling & furnishing of a 3 level 1989 townhouse in northeast Louisville. We started September 2015 and work is ongoing with a goal of substantial completion in Spring 2016. To date, walls have been repainted to change colors (We did not wish to use wall coverings.), carpeted stairs replaced by natural oak stairs, laminated kitchen counter tops replaced by natural granite tops, several pieces of personal art work is in process of re-framing, some new and resale furniture selected for great room and family room. Continuing plans will focus on lighting, installation of tile back splash and updating of all appliances in kitchen; furnishing dining area and third bedroom/office in lower level; some remodeling of bathrooms and completing refurnishing of entire townhouse. We have proceeded slowly to allow us time to shop for items and furnishings that we personally wish to include in our new home. Lyn has worked well to accommodate our wishes in this respect. We first contacted Lyn upon recommendation of a longtime friend (a retired interior designer) who did not personally know Lyn but had been extremely impressed by Lyn's work in remodeling an older home in the Highland area. The home belonged to our friend's family, and she was excited by Lyn's remodeling as well as the fact that the project had been timely completed and well under budget. Lyn is a pleasure to work with and, in particular, she actually guides us in making our own final decision on everything. So, in the end, our remodeled residence will be "our home" from top to bottom. Whenever we get a bit out of sync selecting a color, design or style of a particular item, Lyn will say something like, "We can make it work." We have recognized that as her commitment to help us fulfill our dreams for what we desire while suggesting we may have chosen a difficult path to success. We then re-evaluate whether to go ahead or modify our decision. She has been there to assist us either way. Realizing that individuals have varying tastes, she has been a welcome helpmate to keep us on the proven path but also eager in helping us go another direction when our hearts so direct. We only recently moved to Louisville. Lyn's knowledge of available resources for materials, furnishings and professional contractors and suppliers has been invaluable. If we have a question that Lyn does not feel 100% confident is answering, she will research the matter and provide a detailed answer and explanation by the following day, if not sooner. Her knowledge "off the top of her head" has been most impressive to us, and we appreciate her willingness to research and get back with more information on occasion. We are retirees with professional backgrounds, and are prone to research a great deal on our own. We have been very pleased that Lyn's advise to us has been right on track and believe that validates her high level of knowledge and experience. One of our biggest remodeling decisions to date involved the kitchen. We loved the cabinets and the existing counter tops were in excellent condition, but the overall mood of the kitchen was too dark for our taste. We explored ways to lighten up the room without a major and more expensive remodeling. After days going over options, we finally decided to change perfectly good laminated stone counter tops for a brighter pattern of natural granite stone. Lyn was willing to help us whatever our decision but agreed the more expensive decision, in her opinion, would be the "best" way to change the overall mood of the kitchen. She was exactly right, but she guided us to reaching that decision on our own.................and the results have been the hi-light of our remodeling efforts so far. I will attempt to attach to pics to show the darker old counter tops and the newly installed (the day after initial installation) granite tops. We have not placed a ceiling on our budget for remodeling. Lyn has provided us whatever we needed to know when cost might be an important factor in selection. We advised her that we expect a quality of material, furnishings and workmanship that will meet a high standard but that we did not necessarily shop by brand names or "celebrity" status. Our final remodeling expenses will be at least between $50,000 and $100,000 and likely in excess of $100,000. This is only our second home and we are not planning to move again. We lived in our first home for 40 years. When we moved to Louisville to our current address, we brought little furniture - only personal items and a few favorite pieces of furniture. The remodeling by Lyn is part of our relocation and moving on to another stage in our lives. She has to date and, hopefully, will continue to be invaluable to our the success of our dreams for the future.

Last year when I was selling my house, my real estate agent hired Lyn Mabry to stage it for the open house. I was fairly confident that things would go well because my agent is a smart cookie and uses Lyn all the time to stage her properties. I was surprised, though, at just how well it DID go. In a couple of days Lyn transformed my three-story 100-year-old house into a showplace. We had downsized quite a bit so there really wasn't enough furniture left for all the rooms, but when Lyn was finished, I wanted to buy the place myself. She was a lot of fun to work with, too. On a recent property that I was selling, Lynn came in and consulted on the remodel/make over to include tile selections, out door spaces, flooring and paint colors, staging and even worked with the movers to coordinate packing and moving of household goods to prepare the house for sale. Lyn new exactly what I wanted. She found chairs and sofa at a furniture store that makes it in Indiana USA I told her I need color in the rooms. She helped me pick out material. Ms Mabry worked with my contractor to update my home both inside and outside. She chose updated plumbing fixtures, lighting and door hardware. She also chose updated paint colors. Once the physical space was pristine she chose furniture, artwork, lamps, vases, baskets, towels - all those little things that transform a home into a beautiful space. She used my own stuff wherever possible and only bought updated items where necessary. She worked with allied professionals to effect a similar transformation to the outside of my home. She was pleasant, professional and listened to my ideas respectfully. She communicated with me every step of the way. She made a situation that may Have been fraught with problems a pleasant experience. Her attention to detail was excellent. I unreservedly recommend her. I would definitely use her again.

I've been in my current home for 10 years and had allowed it to become dated and over decorated with all the "treasures" I had accumulated over that time span. Lyn was able to come in and gently suggest what needed to go, showing me tips to make my home brighter with less clutter. Lyn was general contractor and decorator for a complete kitchen gutting and remodel. She also acted as decorator for a bathroom remodel and updates to the entire house. She was able to open up space in our 1920s craftsman style home, creating a contemporary, comfortable environment, while keeping within our budget. In the kitchen, we took out an exterior wall to combine the old kitchen and the sun room, opening up space for a tiered island, modern cabinetry, and appliances. In the bathroom, she removed old cabinetry and a partial wall. Through the use of custom cabinetry, mirrors, and tile, and updated shower door, Lyn turned our cramped bathroom into a more functional area with the illusion of space. Lyn is very professional, very creative and artistic, and very personable.

My last 3 homes were staged by Lyn Mabry. 2 were in preparation to sell the current one was to help me coordinate colors and furniture in the home we purchased.
