We hired the firm Minguell-McQuary to work on the plans for our dream home. Our experience with them caused us a lot of stress and anxiety. Minguel-McQuary are an excellent team and wonderful to work with. They are knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and have great vision. We hired them to add a screened in porch to our home a couple years ago.The project stayed within our budget and on time. They were always open to input, and we worked together to create an amazing space. Our home was bulit in the 60s, and we have an eclectic, leaning towards traditional style. Minguel-McQuary succeeded in updating our home without drastically changing the style. We get compliments on the porch every time someone sees it for the first time. We were so pleased with the results that we are currently working with this firm on plans for a major remodel!

Laura and Jose are extremely talented architects. We saw their work at a friend's home and instantly loved their style, innovated ideas and attention to little details. We asked them to build us an outdoor addition to our downtown Austin home. I wanted a little Asian and my husband wanted it to be able to structurally support a 2 ton climbing wall. And we wanted to keep out the mosquitoes, and we wanted to have space for parties and sitting, and we wanted it all tied into our existing home. With Laura and Jose, we got it all. Our space is open and inviting. We often have climbing sessions in the one area and outdoor dinner parties in the other. I would highly recommend Laura and Jose. They really have a wonderful way of creating a unique and special place that is both exquisite in design and structurally sound.

We hired Jose and Laura to renovate our kitchen/dining/living area of our 1960 house. We wanted to remove a couple of walls to open the space up, but if we had only took down walls it would have left a very awkward layout that would not really have been better than what we already had. We wanted to work with an architect to rethink how the space was laid out so that we would end up with a space that was open, functional, well lit, and pleasant. Jose and Laura listened carefully to us at every step and we ended up with an architectural plan we were very happy with. Once construction started, Jose and Laura were very open and communicative about each step of our schedule. Our renovation was completed essentially on time and on budget, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. I would recommend hiring Jose and Laura for a renovation of any scale.

Minguell-McQuary did an excellent job architecting and building a house/office/bike barn for my South Austin residence. It has exceeded my initial expectations for what the space could be and is a pleasure to use everyday as well as when I have guests.
