Leslie Arnold Architecture

I did some cabinetry work for Leslie in her home a few years ago and she never paid me. I always expect to be paid.

Leslie led our kitchen remodel (start to finish) and we are extremely pleased with the results and her performance. So much so, we've retained her again to remodel a larger portion of our 1912 San Francisco home. Leslie's talents and skills as an architect and designer are many, however her biggest strength on our remodel was translating our vague, wishy-washy ideas into clear ideas, vision and plans that captured our style, complimented our home's character and massively improved our functional space. At the start of the project, she spent the time to really get to know us, our tastes, style and needs. She mocked up and laid out numerous large-scale ideas, helping us visualize them with drawings and models. She invisibly handled all the nitty-gritty details and seamlessly coordinated with our contractor. She stayed closely involved throughout the duration of the project, helped make numerous battlefield adjustments to the plans, and was always responsive to our frequent questions, calls and emails. Lastly, Leslie's design eye guided our many color, fixture, tile and accessory decisions. She wasn't afraid to share her opinion and ideas on the most detailed design decisions - in the end, we came to trust her point of view more than our own. I highly recommend Leslie to anyone seeking a top-notch architect and designer.

We worked with Leslie on redoing our dreary kitchen. She was there to help us through all the hiccups associated with reworking this critical space in our 100-year-old home. Her design and support has transformed what was a dark, awkward, and unappealing space into one of our favorite spots in the house. We were novices at home construction projects and she was there every step of the way for us on design ideas, to working with the planning department, finding and coordinating with contractors, and even locating the perfect knobs for the cabinets. We were so thrilled with the kitchen re-do that we went ahead with a long-dreamed of project renovating our family room and adding a small - but airy - bathroom. We highly recommend working with Leslie on any of your projects.

Leslie had innovative as well as practical ideas for the renovation and redesign of my home. She was there every step of the way: drawing the plans, keeping an eye on the construction as it progressed, helping me with all of the design decisions, and accompanying me on shopping trips. When it appeared that several items of a particular design were unavailable locally, she perservered, spending whatever time was necessary to locate and acquire them on the internet. At the same time, she was cognizant and respectful of budgetary constrictions. I could not recommend her more highly.

Leslie is great to work with. We worked with her on the remodel of our kitchen, and a couple of smaller projects. Before we talked with Leslie we thought we knew exactly what we wanted to do with our kitchen remodel, but Leslie quickly came up with several creative ideas that greatly improved our remodel, without greatly increasing the cost. She is also very responsive. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
