L and L of Raleigh

I would highly recommend L and L of Raleigh. Warren and his team were fantastic for my client to work with. They were responsive and had incredible attention to detail. The home was completed when they said it would be and is over the top gorgeous!

We had a terrible experience working with L and L of Raleigh, Inc. On November 6, 2018, we hired L and L of Raleigh to build a home for our family in Cary and paid L & L an $87,000.00 deposit towards the future purchase price of our home. We were repeatedly promised by L and L that they would begin work on our home quickly and have the home completely built by late summer 2019. By the end of January, L and L still had not begun work building the home, so we reached out to them for a status update. As it turns out, not only had L and L not begun work on our home, but they had not even received permits from the town of Cary. In fact, their permit applications were rejected by Cary. Now, here we are in April 2019 and L and L still has not begun construction and the permits have not been obtained. To make matters worse, we found out that L & L of Raleigh (i) does not currently have a valid General Contractor’s License (see image below); and (ii) has been suspended by the Secretary of State from doing business in North Carolina under a Revenue Suspension issued by the North Carolina Department of Revenue (see image below). At this point, we just want our money back, but L and L is being unreasonable and refusing to refund the $87,000.00 deposit we paid them for our home that they are not building. Because L and L does not currently have a General Contractor’s License, the company can’t even build homes for clients, but they are doing so anyway in violation of North Carolina Law. Be very careful before hiring L & L. It’s looking like legal action against L and L and a complaint to the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors will be necessary, which is unfortunate considering their egregious conduct of L & L. Please think twice before working with L and L of Raleigh to build your home.

It was such a welcome pleasure to work with L and L who are thoroughly professional in both the houses they build and the service they provide to their clients. The quality, workmanship and attention to detail in their homes have established this firm as one of the best values in the Triangle. Their warranty program is also outstanding!

L and L of Raleigh builds a beautiful house! They were professional and detailed in their communication throughout the process. We closed on time despite the challenges that often can come up with weather, etc in the construction process. They've been available after closing for questions too! Great job!

L & L completed my upstairs unfinished area comprising of 2 bedrooms, large rec room. study/bonus room, full bathroom, and finished storage area totaling about 1650 sq feet. Jeff Maurer, the project manager, was great and worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were getting what we expected and were happy with the quality of the work. It was evident right from the beginning that we were getting quality. Since we are living in the house, we were able to get an upfront look at project and see it all come together. My husband is a retired commercial electrician and was very familiar with much of the work being done and was very involved in keeping track of the project on a day to day basis. Any questions or concerns identified were quickly answered and corrected to our satisfaction. As with all construction, there were a few minor corrections during the process and those were quickly resolved. Jeff was present on a daily basis and kept us fully informed of the schedule - who was coming, how long it would take, etc. He kept on top of all the work and made sure that things moved along on schedule. In fact, he estimated the job would take 8 to 10 weeks and it was completed in 7 weeks. I was extremely pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail. In addition, he asked for feedback from us when the job was completed to see if anything could be improved. Since we talked to him daily and got any questions addressed while the work we being done we had no additional areas of concern to report. In addition, the quote he gave us in the beginning stayed true throughout. There were no hidden fees or charges - some of the prices were under our control such as flooring and paint - but no additional fees were added or adjusted unless we changed something. We feel that we definitely got quality work for the price quoted and would hire them again.

L and L is my customer and a very good one... I have been doing business with them for a number of years. We have an excellent working relationship.
