In October of 2012 the east coast was hammered by the forces of Hurricane Sandy. I never thought the destruction from a hurricane could reach us all the way in Northeast Ohio, but did it ever. The night of the big storm, as communities were losing power, frigid wind and rain was battering our homes, the unimaginable happened. A tree from my neighbor's yard fell directly onto our home and into our upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. It was a miracle we were all safe. Within 24 hours I had filed my insurance claim and less that that amount of time passed before I had a stack of business cards in my door and mailbox, asking if I needed a contractor. I knew better than to give my business to "storm-chasers", many that were driving from out of state, but I really hadn't ever had to do something as major as reside our house or replace broken windows, structural damage to the roof beams, etc. I also saw the work that some of these companies did after the hail damage a year before to our area and it wasn't a good situation for anyone involved. As I mentioned never having experienced this type of damage to our home, I knew we were in for considerable repairs, but did we need a roofing company, siding, drywall, general contractor? I called on a few friends and family and received referrals to several contractors and companies in the area. I wanted to move quickly but with the considerable damages across the US, we had lengthy delays with the insurance company. When I called on Campopiano Roofing and spoke with Kevin Campopiano directly, I instantly knew he was the guy to get our business. He knew exactly how to deal with the hoops of the insurance company (that in itself was no small feat and almost 6 months of legwork!) and he was so knowledgeable about exactly how to repair our house and bring it back to "pre-storm conditions" and stay within the parameters that the insurance company provided as reasonable and customary. It was a long process, our insurance company gave both Kevin and us the run for our money, literally. I don't think another company or person would have stuck with it. Kevin's primary concern, were we happy and was the job done right. He worked tirelessly to ensure we weren't taken advantage of and that our house was restored fully. All of Kevin's crew was equally knowledgeable and friendly, we were on the other side of town from their "headquarters" and everyone that came to our house was prompt and timely. They repaired our drywall, painted the interior, replaced windows, gutters, siding, metal, roofing, and repainted our shutters. It was a considerable amount of work and all done with coordination between Kevin , his team, and us as the homeowners, they were really flexible with our scheduling requests and made it really easy to work with them. This experience was one I wouldn't ever want anyone to go through, let alone go through it again myself. However, if the need ever arises again, I wouldn't hesitate to call Kevin again and give him our business. Bottomline - Kevin is a stand up guy, this is an excellent family business, and they offer reliable products and superior service. Campopiano Roofiing did a complete tear off and reroof of my house . In the process they fixed several issues that were contributing to water leaking inside of my home (skylight, vent stack, cupola, gutters) . The quoting process was very easy, the crew was very professional, and the attention detail was impressive. They completed the job on time and on budget.
