Kelly Brown provided expert assistance in choosing colors for walls, woodwork, and trim for our house. She made recommendations for our kitchen remodel which resulted in a beautiful and efficient kitchen. Ms. Brown was a pleasure to work with and her expertise helped us to update and improve our home. I would recommend her to friends and family.

Kelly is my 'go to' designer. When I moved to our new house, she helped me pick out room colors and flooring and gave little tips along the way on how to maximize the space in our small rooms. Most recently she helped with the design of our kitchen renovation. Her consultation and design again is maximizing the space and balancing different design components in the most optimal way. With just a few pictures of things I like she is able to quickly and creatively find solutions that fit both my style and budget. Can't say enough great things about her. Very responsive and reliable and fun too!

Kelly Brown has been a godsend to our family. She has worked with us to explore, create and execute designs, and helped us to stretch (and greatly improve) our visions for how we use space. Kelly worked up a clear budget at the outset, and kept within it and met all deadlines. Kelly is innovative, resourceful, energetic, responsive and professional (in addition to being just plain fun and funny), and the quality of her work (and that of her subcontractors) has been excellent. We finished one project with Kelly earlier this year and started another with her recently. We could not recommend Kelly as a designer (and a person) more highly.

Kelly has a great way of infusing a fresh, modern feel to a classic, traditional space. It's easy for the Edwardian home I'm remodeling to look old and dated but not with Kelly's guidance. She is able to work with much of the existing furnishing, add a few fresh ideas and make the space feel revived.

Kelly is one of the best designers in Virginia. She has a great eye for choosing materials. I trust her opinions so much I have used her to help me design entire houses. Kelly has a great hard working attitude and puts in quality time on my projects. I trust her with a budget. She is also a very good listener. She has done a great job of taking my ideas and expanding on them in very interesting ways. I would call her immediately if you want a modern take on Virginia living with a splash of Coastal California cool.

I have worked with Kelly involving both office design and home decorating. I find Kelly to be very easy to work with. She is a consummate professional, always prepared, on time, and armed with innovative ideas and great suggestions. She has a broad knowledge of available resources and a good eye for those things which fit together well. I continue to receive compliments on everything she has done for me. I would NEVER decorate or design anything without her.

I recently purchased a 1900s historic home located in the fan district of Richmond, VA and enlisted the services of Kelly Brown Interiors. The home required extensive renovations (i.e. removal of interior walls to open smaller areas of rooms, relocation or replacement of existing electrical wiring, remodeling of the kitchen, and the addition of numerous lighting features). I was comfortable managing the renovations because I have done numerous in the past but I really wanted an experts input into some of the key components of the interiors design and layout. I decided upon Kelly Brown Interiors because I know that Kelly is very familiar with the historic properties in the fan district. The renovations started with the partial removal of an interior wall to open up the foyer. I wanted a more open feel to the entry but did not want to compromise the historic nature of the home. Kelly did an exceptional job helping determine where size and location of the opening; as well as, determining how to historically trim out the features to give the appearance that it was mirroring the double parlor doors on the adjacent wall. Kelly then helped me determine color schemes that were an exact fit for the style that I wanted to achieve. I had selected several dozen colors and Kelly helped pin down the combinations for the double parlors that provided a perfect balance. She then enhanced the rooms with trim, ceiling, and wood molding colors that really made the room pop and called out to the focal points like the fireplaces. From the fireplace, to the modeling, to the wainscoting all of the color recommendations achieved an atmosphere that turned out remarkable. I had a budget in mind for the project and realize kitchens can be very expensive. Kelly helped walk through various options on kitchen layouts, pros/cons of islands vs bars in my particular setup, and ways to achieve more storage given the limited size of space available for additional cabinetry. I was looking to leverage existing cabinets and achieve an 'old world' feel in the kitchen. The consulting services that Kelly provided in this space really helped me in terms of keeping my budget in tact. We added in a new counter tops for several grand but were then able to leverage some of the old cabinetry, enhance shelving, and other minor improvements that kept my kitchen budget in check. The consulting and design services provided by Kelly Brown Interiors was exception. Kelly was sensitive to my budget, listened to my goals, offered suggestions in areas that I would have not considered, and brought to the table the ideas and little details that made the entire renovation pop. I am thoroughly pleased with this project and would definitely look to consult with her company again in the future.

Kelly Brown is a young, very knowledgeable professional designer. She brings with her a sense of good taste and eye for color and design which is refreshing and very tasteful. Besides being talented, she is great fun and makes what could be a daunting task into a pleasant project. I would recommend her for most any kind of indoor or outdoor project as we have consulted with her on both, over the past years.

We hired Kelly Brown Interiors for projects ranging from paint and wallpaper to decorating services, including furniture, rugs and window treatments. She assisted us in updating our dining room, living room, upstairs / downstairs foyer, study, paint and wallpaper for four bathrooms. Kelly was extremely professional. She listened to our ideas and did a great job of matching our style. The process was fun and full of creativity, and Kelly did a great job in executing the work with her qualified subs.

My husband and I built a home for our large family from sketches made on pieces of graph paper taped together. As a mother of 9 children, I needed a lot of help with choosing tasteful fixtures, appliances, tile, and paint colors; as well as with asserting my needs and desires to the burly men who hang out at a job site. Kelly was very flexible and willing to work with my budget. She made herself available whenever I needed her. Perhaps the thing I loved most about working with Kelly is that she was very adept when it came to absorbing my particular tastes, and advising me accordingly. She proved herself a master when it came to working with our architect, our builder, and the many sub-contractors involved in building a home. I love our new home, and I frequently find myself walking around it, taking note of the many ways in which Kelly "saved" us from ourselves!

Kelly Brown is hands down one of the most talented interior designers I've ever worked with. Her vision and style are impeccable. I worked with Kelly this year to give my home a complete overhaul. Our home seemed dark, outdated and lacked any charm. I am still stunned at how she was able to turn our home completely around and create a beautiful modern home full of energy; a place where my family thrived. Not only did she bring beauty and happiness to our home but because of her good design aesthetic we were then able to sell our home for 100k more than surround homes like ours. The investment in making our home look show stopping was worth every dime. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone. I am so excited to start working with her again on our new home.
