Kathy designed my kitchen nearly 10 years ago. Her cabinets are like a work of art - design excellent. I would recommend even ten years later. My kitchen still looks like new!

To say Kathy goes above and beyond for her clients is an understatement. From our very first meeting, she was intent on getting to know us and figuring out exactly what we were looking for in our design. There were so many hiccups during our renovation and Kathy was always there to help and make sure the job got done correctly. She is highly knowledgeable and current with her designs. With Kathy, you are really getting the best of both worlds - someone skilled in the construction of it all along with a sophisticated designer. Her warm and personable ways also made working with her a pleasure. We are thrilled with our finished project and know that it couldn't have been possible without Kathy. Needless to say, we highly recommend her!

We hired Kathy earlier this year to design our dream kitchen and she more than delivered! Kathy is so wonderful to work with. She has an an amazing eye for design and she is extremely detail oriented. She brings such knowledge and unique ideas to the table, but it is also extremely important to her that she incorporates her clients ideas and style into the design. I worked with Kathy on many projects and really enjoying it!! One thing that I have to mention - every Kathy's project is very unique !!! We working together for few years and i never did 2 a like projects. If I could give 10 stars for creativity I would give immediately!!! Kathy Tracey Design was absolutely wonderful. We would hire her in a heart beat again. Kathy is detailed oriented, very attentive, reliable, and extremely creative. She is a very good listener which is important. She designed what we wanted, not what she thought would be best based on previous clients needs. Many designers that we interviewed interjected what previous clients did, which results in cookie cutter designs. We wanted to step outside the box and really have a modern farmhouse design. What Kathy designed and implemented for us is a DREAM kitchen. We loved Kathy's design ideas so much that we hired her to help with the entire house design, from our exposed railroad beam, tiling, right down to the hardwood floor color. She is not afraid to go bold in a very elegant way. Kathy is a thinker and took her time to make sure the perfect plan was executed to get our vision. Kathy's creativity is endless and versatile . Many designers are repetitive with the layout. We were building our home and Kathy communicated with our GC, Electrician, Plumber, tiler and custom hood company. She made sure every contractor had the plans and that everything was done perfectly with no mistakes. Kathy came to the job site countless times to make sure lighting wires were run in places we wanted island sconces, bar lights, kitchen table high hats etc. It was way beyond her duties! Our kitchen is a room where we will make a lifetime of memories. In addition to our Kitchen we had Kathy design our master bathroom. What she executed for us is beyond words and more than what we dreamed of having. Her carpenter made the stunning custom vanity that Kathy designed. She spent many hours picking out all of the tile for the master bath. She was also there while the tile was being installed. She helped me pick out the lights, mirror, teak benches for shower, glass shower door with bar. The details and devotion she provided was endless. I could tell Kathy really loves what she does and has so much appreciation for design and peoples ideas. We adored working with Kathy. Having her really gave such excitement to our project.

From the moment Kathy walked through the door, I knew she was the designer for us!! Working with her has been an absolute breeze from the beginning to the end. Not only has working with Kathy been amazing but the end results have been EXACLTY what we told her we wanted!!! Kathy helped us redesign our outdated kitchen and first floor. Some of Kathy's strengths that stand out are listening to the client and delivering on what they want, her communication with all the professionals involved, her attention to detail from cabinet hardware to lighting, and her use of all the space in the design. Most importantly, Kathy is well respected in her field. Her relationships with the other professionals allowed us to have superior service and work done in a timely manner. Kathy Tracey was tasked with completely redesigning a 45 year old kitchen in what is architecturally a contemporary house. For the kitchen, we envisioned something transitional with high quality cabinets that would "play well" with the gray cedar and white walls in an open floor plan the kitchen shares with the main level of the home. As we love to cook and informally entertain, the kitchen was conceptualized as the focal point of the main level where guests would feel comfortable wandering in and from which those cooking could look out and interact without having to turn around or feel isolated. At the outset, the project presented significant challenges: the room is irregularly shaped with only one full exterior wall for tall appliances and upper cabinets. The ceiling is cathedral. We also wanted an open area looking over to the dining room and we needed to keep within the color parameters already established in the house. Like many renovations, we were striving to keep the budget proportional to the value of the house, which we plan to remain in 5 - 10 years. During the interview process - we met with several prospective designers - Kathy impressed us with various qualities that held constant throughout the project. She was extremely sensitive to the budget parameters and never attempted to upsell us into features which may have reduced her labor or enhanced her "bottom line." She is a problem solver with an excellent sense of what works aesthetically. She listens sensitively to the clients' objectives and reactions. As problems arise, she addresses them, whether this involves communicating with the general contractor or coming to the house to ensure that work is properly executed. Finally, she is a team player who used her own cabinet installers (excellent) and collaborated smoothly with our General Contractor, countertop fabricator, lighting and tile retailers, including meeting us at the showrooms to help with our selections. The end product is, needless to say, our dream kitchen aesthetically and functionally. In addition to being beautiful and dramatically transforming our main floor, the new kitchen doubles the functional cabinet space and includes many convenience features we had only imagined. We knew our objectives and resources. Kathy Tracey brought it all together and made it happen. We would be extremely confident in giving her our highest recommendation.

I highly recommend Kathy! She created the most beautiful modern chic kitchen for me. Her attention to detail is just fabulous. She is so easy to work with as well. The kitchen is absolutely exactly what I envisioned! She was there with me every step of the way and plan on using her for future projects as well.

Kathy Tracey is a true find. From our first meeting I felt like I was working with a friend, but a friend with excellent design sense. She has a real vision for space and was able to reinterpret our kitchen layout within our existing room dimensions. Kathy's ideas and designs are functional and beautiful without being precious. Our space is on the smaller side, but Kathy maximized our workspace in a way we never could have come up with on our own. She has opinions but is never pushy and worked hard to make the space feel personalized and practical for our family. Kathy is responsive, friendly and worked easily with our contractor. The vendors she recommended were exceptional. Kathy was on time and on budget, and her end product exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Kathy Tracey - she is a gem.

Kathy redesigned our entire first floor - opening up our traditional colonial and converting our small kitchen into a huge, absolutely beautiful chef's dream. Over the years we have renovated entire houses and no one we have worked with compares to Kathy's design innovation, knowledge, personal skills, attention to detail or her commitment to ensure the client is happy. She delivered beautiful cabinets at a very reasonable price and supported us through the entire renovation (shopping for counter-tops, back-splashes, bar stools, sending example photos, decorating recommendations, arbitrating between my husband and my ideas, etc.).
