Lou is an amazing craftsman! I went to him for a custom made island, with rough drawings of what I wanted. Lou offered suggestions, asked the right questions, and came up with a drawing and plan that not only caught my vision but was better than I imagined. Then, he created it, checking with me along the way, and producing a masterpiece that everyone comments about when they walk into my kitchen. He does beautiful work, and I will definitely be hiring him for future projects. Five stars isn't enough. Highly highly recommended!!

Mr. Kirby's work is the definition of true craftsmanship. We could not be more pleased with the results of our custom built-in desk - it is absolutely gorgeous! Mr. Kirby paid close attention to every detail and surpassed all of our expectations. (And this coming from two perfectionists with experience in carpentry!) He is truly one in a million and has already inspired us to begin drafting our next project!

Lou built a beautiful, large master closet for my new house: Solid cherry, all top quality materials, superb workmanship, and great attention to detail. He does all the fabrication, assembly, and installation himself (with some help from his lovely wife, Beth). Totally exceeded my expectations, and the price was very fair. Lou is also the most professional and intelligent contractor I've ever hired (and I've hired a lot being an owner-builder). He provided a detailed powerpoint proposal/ contract complete with drawings, details and terms. He actually engineers his work. Add to that, he's very clean, trustworthy and does what he says. This is about as good as it gets. I've already contracted with him for my next project - the office library wall.

We are thrilled with the work that Lou did at our beach home in Melbourne Beach. We were looking to build a whimsical nautical bunk bed system for our bunk room. Lou's vision and fine craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. He created the most amazing space and was delightful to work with. He is the utmost professional and I highly recommend L&B Enterprises for your project needs.

Nothing but good things to say about Lou Kirby. Very professional and hard working. Arrived on time for the estimate and took his time with the measurements and asking questions about the project. Couldn't be happier with the finished product. Quality workmanship. He used the best products for a spectacular finished project. He created a mudroom based on my ideas and offered his own suggestions as well. His craftsmanship is by far one of best I've seen. Everything was handmade. This is truly custom wood making at it's best. At my request, Lou even made me a key ring holder using extra materials. Can't wait to hire him for another project!

At the same time we hired Lou Kirby of L & B Enterprises to add built-ins to our mud room, we hired an entirely separate contractor for another job involving a kitchen modification. Both of these contractors were being used for the first time and both required multiple days in our home, and while the 2 spaces are not an apple-to-apple comparison, our experience with each contractor was night and day. Mr. Kirby was responsive from day one and spent time making sure he understood what we wanted, which included visual drawings he sent via email. His crew arrived on-time and was always professional and courteous to our family being sure to clean up at the end of each and every day. And while we were sure we knew what we wanted with our mud room design, Mr. Kirby brought up valid points and ideas we had not thought about which ultimately made what we initially envisioned even better. We had the opposite takeaway with the kitchen contractor. That contractor paid little attention to detail requiring us to hold his hand throughout the project, and even then his "to-do" items weren’t always completed to our satisfaction. Both projects were approximately of equal cost, but you can tell by looking at them that the mud room was done by someone who cares about his work and the kitchen was just another job. We now have a mud room we absolutely love as it was built with care and true craftsmanship, and we look forward to using Mr. Kirby again as he will be the only contractor we bring into our home going forward!

We hired Lou to build custom Mudroom storage cubbies with a bench seat. Lou was very professional and listened to what we wanted and offered good suggestions to improve the final product. He was able to match the color of our trim and wood flooring which makes the cabinetry look like it was built with the house. The finished project far exceeded our expectations, and I am an Architect, so I can be a bit picky when it comes to quality and detail. Lou and his guys did a phenomenal job! They made sure everything was just right and did not leave until everything was done to our satisfaction. They painted the walls of the room for us as well and we were short on paint, so Lou did the shopping for us so my wife did not have to leave the house. I am pretty sure that our house was cleaner after they were done than it was when they arrived to start their work. The exceptionally high quality of work they did will lead to other projects we need done around the house.

From the very first proposal and plan that Lou put together for our future bar to the final little touches, Lou Kirby went above and beyond to make sure we were as happy as can be with the final product. His attention to detail and his personable demeanor and friendliness made this whole process unbelievably easy. Our bar turned out to be so much more than what we were expecting! The beautiful woodwork and little details has made this area of our basement a welcoming environment for friends and family to gather.

L & B Enterprises has built a theater room, extra bedroom, custom cabinetry and molding in my home. They are very respectful and great to work with. They take pride in the work they perform and work with the customer to make it perfect. I would hire L & B Enterprises again.

Over the years, L&B has performed dozens of projects for me at multiple homes. This work includes foyer pillars, chair rail, wainscot/wall frames, crown molding, entertainment centers, bedroom closet built-in clothing chests, mudroom built-in storage and cabinet unit, closet shoe holders, custom niche trim and glass shelving, window trim toppers, bathroom vanity shelving and mirror trim, bedroom heater installation, wall unit installation, plantation shutters, and numerous other projects. L&B performed each project on-time and to my complete satisfaction, and perhaps more importantly, to L&B's satisfaction -- a standard which sometimes exceeded my own. Having worked with several other vendors, I would say that L&B's discriminator is their willingness to listen closely to the needs of the customer and to meticulously design an artful yet affordable solution, especially when considering their impressive craftsmanship, good quality materials, and attention to detail. They have also shown incredible flexibility when encountering unforeseen project impediments. L&B has delivered project proposals with quality renderings, clear pricing that is always adhered to, and reasonable terms and conditions. L&B has shown respect to me and to my home in terms of scheduling, clean up, and the politeness of the crew. I trust this company implicitly and would not hesitate to recommend them. Quite honestly, if I had the financial means, I would even more regularly employ L&B to completely customize and transform my entire home into something even more special than that which they've already accomplished.

Lou spent a lot of time designing our project. He answered all of our questions and guided us through the process from start to finish. His team was professional and courteous and the work exceeded our expectations. Lou was able to make an adjustment for me mid-installation and had no problem making the change. I am planning on using Lou again in the near future for another project.
