About Us

Jason Thomas Architect is a native of Southampton, NY. He studied architecture at New York Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture Cum Laude, and a member of the Nu Epsilon Tau Honor Society. Jason is also registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Jason leans toward innovation in his architecture and implementation of custom design and detailing. However, buildings are tailored to the individual requirements of clients and particular care is taken to preserve sites and to design to the requirements of climate. For most of his career this has resulted in nature driven architecture that parallels an artistic study in transparencies. Projects tend to concentrate on sculptural forms that are skinned with various nature inspired colors and materials. Jason refuses to define a singular definition of architecture: as art, as “green”, as traditional, as modern, rather an exploration in context. Jason has a strong belief in collaborative relationships with clients, as well as a rigorous commitment to design and the execution of quality projects that reflect the client’s unique individuality. Jason has a commitment to craft and detail, aesthetics with function, with personal service in the office and in the field which allows for the construction of our client’s projects to exceed their expectations within the constraints of limited budgets, complex sites, and technological limitations.

I feel very fortunate to have found Jason Thomas Architect. We had acquired a new home in Bridgehampton that was in need of substantial renovation and updating. Jason was perfect for the job. He had a very creative eye and was easily able to translate our vision into reality. He provided superb advise along the way and was always responsive to our needs. He worked closely with our contractor to ensure that we were moving forward in a smart and cost effective way. His architectural drawings took our house from tired and dated to beautiful and amazing! He created sweeping panoramas and opened up space in ways that we could not have imagined. We were and are extremely pleased with his expertise and experience.

Jason Thomas Architect is the most professional architect firm I have ever worked with. They did an excellent Job with designing my home. Jason Thomas was very hands on and stopped by the project multiple times a week to make sure it was going smooth. He was easy to reach and quick with changes that we needed to the plan. Jason Thomas Architect was also very reasonable priced. I would recommended them for any project.

Jason and I collaborated on this home as architect and interior designer and it was an absolute pleasure. It's not always easy to mesh two visions into a cohesive aesthetic, but this was a seamless, beautiful result. His work was creative, thorough and timely. He navigated presentations to the architectural review committee with tact and aplomb. Jason is a talented architect who is widely appreciated among both clients and peers and I wholeheartedly recommend him for your next project.

I was apprehensive to do a contemporary home. For years I have lived in traditional homes, so this home was quite a departure from my comfort zone. Jason Poremba, RA of Jason Thomas Design designed a home beyond my expectations. The house provides a strong connection to the natural landscape with large expansive windows and doors. Despite being a contemporary home with flat roofs and stucco siding, the interiors are warm and comfortable. I am more than ecstatic with the results, and despite being a custom home, the materials and finishes did not break my budget. I highly recommend Jason for his design, creativity, and his ability to listen to the client.

Creating our new home with Jason Poremba, was a terrific experience. And now that we are living in it, our home has exceeded all expectations, due to his thoughtful design. The entire design and build process was very collaborative. Jason took time to listen and develop a relationship with our entire family, so that he understood how we live, and then designed an inspiring space that works perfectly with our lifestyle. His design expertise is evident in the way he successfully balanced a rather traditional exterior with the more contemporary, clean lines that we wanted for the interior. And his custom design details provided a really personalized style. Jason was mindful of our budget and helped us determine which elements of the house to prioritize. And throughout the project he provided options for managing costs without sacrificing quality. Jason’s enthusiasm and creativity made it a pleasure working with him - we highly recommend him!
