Jane Duvall, principal designer and owner of Jane Duvall Interiors, has a proclivity for creating distinguished homes with timeless elegance and gracious luxury. Possessing a keen eye for detail and an understanding of each client’s desires and needs, Jane brings stylish and sophisticated life into every space she designs. Jane is a strong believer in the collective relationship between client and designer and consistently refers to the client’s individual taste during the design process. She strives to be a trusted advisor to her clients. A native of Ellicott City, Maryland, Jane graduated from Towson University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She first developed a passion for interior design during her career in real estate for over 20 years, wherein she worked alongside builders and new home owners on a daily basis. Prior to founding Jane Duvall Interiors, Jane co-founded an interior design firm and designed numerous homes and interior spaces. Whether she is working on a residential or commercial space, Jane attributes her success to her personalized service, attention to detail and desire to create both beautiful and functional interiors.

It is an absolute pleasure working with Jane. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field. The thing that I liked the most about her is that she listens to what you like and tries to incorporate that in her design and tries to work with your budget. She goes above and beyond of what she’s expected and does a great job. I couldn’t have been happier with the way she designed and decorated my house. I wouldn’t have done it without her help. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of professional interior designer and decorator.

I can't recommend Jane highly enough--and indeed I have already recommended her to friends and family. Consulting with an interior designer seemed really intimidating to me, but Jane instantly put us at ease with her warmth. We just bought a new house and we wanted to paint and refinish the floors before moving in but we did not know where to begin. Jane met with us and in a couple hours helped us narrow down paint colors to a manageable few and gave us excellent recommendations on how to refinish the floors. We got an estimate for refinishing from another contractor that was almost exactly the same as Jane's contractors. She helped us manage the two projects and coordinated the painters and refinishers and got the project done beautifully. I don't think that I would undertake any major home renovations without consulting her now.

When Jane steps into your home, you have an instant friend and a creative professional. I was bored with my decorating and confused about details. I had a few ideas, but lacked the confidence to put them into action. Jane had all the confidence and lots more ideas. We are just beginning the process of changing our home from nice to beautiful, but we are already experiencing the joy of better furniture arrangement, pops of color, and an actual design plan that ties it all together. Jane is exactly the person we've needed, and I'm thankful to have found her!

We moved from a small little row house to a big suburban "grown up" house. I knew I would need help with furnishing the space but didn't think I could ever afford a designer. After meeting with Jane I knew I was in good hands to accomplish what I wanted and needed. Jane works with every budget, doesn't judge you when your style is a little off the wall, and actually saves you money with her connections. She can see things that we just couldn't imagine. Even just the little tips were helpful about where to hang pictures and how to arrange the furniture. With our three little kids, Jane put function before fashion; making sure that design and usability were considered. Jane is a thoughtful, genuine person with a big heart and an amazing eye for design. I'm forever grateful for her help. If you're even considering it, just call her. She's such a bright light of life and love and she shares her ideas, connections and talents with genuine intention.

We needed a designer to consult with us on our 203k renovation and Jane was willing and able to meet with us at the property to generate solutions to tough spots and a general design plan. Jane's ideas were creative but practical, she listened attentively and quickly honed in on what our family needed. My husband, who is a bit of a designer skeptic, remarked that if we only implemented one of the ideas from the dozens Jane generated, it would be well worth the consulting fee. Thank you, Jane, for all of your help. We will absolutely be calling you again for future projects!

I moved into my home and had a blank canvas to work with. I was completely overwhelmed but had an idea of the look I wanted to achieve. After our first meeting, Jane was confident in the path we were going to take to complete my first floor. Together, we worked to select light fixtures, rugs, furniture, upholstery, tile, and accessories. She designed an ottoman, a designer book shelf, and a built in bar. During this time, we also finished our basement. I am so thankful that I had Jane to plan the space, consider lighting, and the functionality of the basement. Jane arrived with ideas and was receptive to my likes and dislikes. My home is gorgeous. She is an amazing woman to work with, an incredible listener, and works until her clients are 100% satisfied.

Jane has vision and the very special gift of pulling together a completed space in her mind. She marries the practicality of function and family living with glorious design concepts that surpass anything we could possibly achieve on our own. We are typical middle-of-the-road suburbia (not the mansion on the hill). Our personal style, after raising four kids, could be classified as "chaos and survival". We were looking for another set of eyes to solve space problems and create design focal points in a practical kitchen redesign. I found our goals well represented in her design recommendations, feedback on space utilization, budget adherence, and the ability to fuse short and long term objectives. Jane is a wonderful partner, whether you want a second set of eyes on a consulting basis, or an effort managed from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I have worked with Jane for at least ten years. She has addressed my needs both in my home and my office. Jane respects both my personal choices and my financial obligations. If I request a little "spunkiness" to the room she can provide it and if I want low key shades that won't offend anyone she can do that too. She has wonderful contacts and suppliers and has saved me money. I have custom made pieces and some that are very inexpensive. Our relationship is so comfortable I now just find myself saying things like "Jane, just make it nice." and she always goes above and beyond with her delivery of quality products and service. She is most pleasant to be around and takes what can be a very stressful situation and turns it into a great result that you are proud to own.

Working with Jane was a pleasure for me. From the moment I met her, I felt at ease that she would help me furnish/design my home with style, and that's precisely what she did. It became clear early on that Jane wanted what I wanted: want to use your existing furniture/decor? Jane will do it. Want to lose all that and start over? Jane will help you do it, and will do it with grace, elegance, and style. She took her time to get to know what look I was going for, and was meticulous in finding me the PERFECT fit. From the colors on my walls, to large pieces of furniture, to artwork, to decorative items-Jane made my house look amazing while working within my budget. I am confident and proud inviting people over, and have NEVER NOT received a compliment-that's how lovely it is. I know she has a long list of active clients, but there were times when I felt I was her only one. Her knowledge of materials, furniture and fixture designers, and eye for finishing touches is unmatched. Her attitude and professionalism are unmatched. Jane Duvall interiors is, in my opinion, the best interior design company in Howard County, and likely beyond.

Jane Duvall provided excellent guidance in the remodeling of our master bathroom. She spent the initial session in our home listening to what we wanted to achieve, examining the existing bathroom and getting a sense of how she could be most helpful. Jane then returned to our home meet the person who would undertake the bathroom re-construction. Together we outlined a plan. As my husband and I identified items like new cabinets, floor tiles etc, we discussed our selections with Jane who provided excellent suggestions which, for the most part, we accepted since it was clear that she had a "vision" that would help us achieve the contemporary bathroom we wanted. What we particularly appreciated about Jane was her willingness to be available whenever we got to a point where we needed a professional's guidance.

I have used Jane's services a number of times over the yearsars. Her honesty, professionalism and knowledge is impressive. She will listen to you and then proceed to create a beautiful space for you. Her customer service is superb.
