James and the people who worked with him were incredibly easy to work with. We had a general design for an entirely new backyard that included all new drainage, irrigation, trees, plants, flagstone, grass and lighting. James made suggestions, all of which we took and they came out great! He has been doing this for along time and the expertise shows. For example, I wanted to choose the boulders for the project, but I deferred to his expertise and he came up with the perfect 6! We wanted to incorporate an old family bell on a post in the design and he quickly figured out how to highlight this treasure. After the initial flagstone was layed, we wanted to pull one row back and he did this easily. As the project progressed, he pointed out other issues on our property, like no water on one side and a drainage issue out front. We quickly added this to our list. He did not pressure us into any change order; he simply pointed out what could be done. Eventually we added a front yard component (new grass and bushes, plus two trees). What an amazing difference! His prices were excellent, as we compared him with 2 other landscapers.

Better late than never! Jim and his crew did a great job on a substantial landscape remodel at my home in the summer of 2018. The work included concrete paths, a retaining wall, complete irrigation and re-planting, and new patio cover and pergola structures. They didn’t skimp on materials or quality, and Juan and his crew came out and worked hard each day. They always had time for questions, and were very responsive to requests for changes, or to address small issues. I enjoyed working with Jim and his crew and subcontractors, and would not hesitate to hire them again. Thank you!

Ascent did an excellent job on our landscaping project - planter, trestles, landscaping, and lighting lining our driveway to provide privacy against commercial properties bordering our home. We hired a landscape architect to design the project, who recommended Ascent for the job. Ascent worked with us to complete our project within our desired (tight) timeline. Jim and his team were always professional, kind, and ensured that work areas were always clean. The resulting landscaping is exactly what we wanted and Jim came in on budget. Thank you Jim!

I have only the greatest recommendation for Ascent Landscape. The workers were fantastic. They were very easy to work with and asked if everything was done to our liking. They were very thorough and never tried to cut corners, always doing the job the way it should be done. Jim was always ready to answer our questions and direct us when we wanted advice regarding the project. They came in on the promised budget. Super company.

We recently did a small construction project on our house which destroyed our backyard. Once construction was finally done, I started looking for landscapers. I came across Jim with Ascent thanks to our gardener's rec. Jim was very responsive and came to my house within a couple days to check out our yard and discuss our needs. I knew right away that he was qualified and knew his stuff. I loved his ideas from the get go. Once we received the first estimate, we realized we were going to need to prioritize and Jim was very nice about working with our budget. Given that it's a very busy time of year for landscape projects, I was worried that we were going to be put on the back burner and not get attention for a few months. Fortunately that was not the case at all - Jim was able to squeeze our small project in between a larger one and it was done within 2 weeks. The men that work for Jim were respectful of our property and did an excellent job with all the tasks (one of which included building a gate). I am beyond happy with Ascent Landscape and Design and highly recommend them. We will most definitely be using them again in the future!

We called Ascent Landscaping to come out and give us a price on a stone wall fix for our waterfall and pond. James was very professional and likable. We had other bids from other companies and found his to be the most reasonable for our job. James is fair and honest. He came when he said he would and the job was done within one day. We are happy with the outcome and we would recommend him for any landscaping job.

When Jim came out to look over our proposal, we knew we had found our landscaper. He is knowledgeable, accessible and easy to get along with. His crew worked fast and did excellent work. I think we got a good value for our money. We wouldn't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone looking for a landscaper.
