Chris Jones and his company HR Construction did a fantastic job on the external remodel of our house in Marietta. It is a rare thing indeed when a contractor meets or exceeds every one of my expectations. I would recommend HR Construction unconditionally to anyone needing remodeling or building services. Our architect Cooper Pierce recommended two contractors to implement his design. Although HR Construction was not the least expensive of the proposals, it had the most detail and I felt that Chris' enthusiasm and flexibility would be a good fit for my wish to be collaborative during the process. While I’m sure the last thing most contractors want to hear is “I can build that piece”, Chris was open to my contributions as a woodworker. I also appreciate Chris' attention to detail. The very first thing he tackled, the garage area, was one of the most complex pieces of the project, and I was thrilled to see how particular he and his master carpenter were in its execution. He hewed to the design, yes, but it was clear from the tight fit of the joints and the bracket positioning being just proud of the soffits that he was as picky as I am. Even the more prosaic parts of the job like the new roof and paint were completed to a fine standard. And finally, the complete remodel of the front entryway, inside and out, with the new door, custom windows and mahogany trim is just a beautiful showpiece of craftsmanship. Chris changed our house from a 70’s styled soft-contemporary ranch to a modern take on the Craftsman style, taking Cooper’s design and turning it into a reality. My wife and I are thrilled with the final outcome. Throughout the process he was professional, enjoyable to work with, and consistently exceeded expectations. I thank Chris for his hard work, dedication and personal attention to detail on our project.

HR Construction pulled off a major kitchen/family room/deck remodel without a glitch. Contractor Chris Jones was on site every day with his team ready to get things done. The work progressed steadily, with an absolute minimum of disruption and down time. We were able to remain in our house during construction and actually looked forward to interacting with the crew each day. Our plans involved many architectural details. Chris studied our plans thoroughly at the start, worked with our architect to devise cost-effective solutions, made a very fair bid, and executed everything flawlessly, with no change orders or disputes of any kind. He was a joy to work with, and we remain in contact more than two years later. He and his team take real pride in their work. And they should! Everyone who comes into the space they created is blown away.

This is the 4th project that Chris Jones has completed for us; we have remodeled our kitchen, family room, 3 bathrooms and painted a child's bedroom through HR Construction. Chris is professional and personal when dealing with us. He is a good listener and offers insight and suggestions in line with our tastes. He is conscious about our time and money and personally oversees the quality and scope of every project. There is very little for us to do when we hire Chris since his standard and knowledge of quality exceed ours. On top of everything, Chris is always willing to offer help where we need. HR Construction has built a number of projects design by Axios Architecture. Chris Jones is congenial, trustworthy and pays excellent attention to detail. He understands customer service...the homeowners always give him excellent reviews. As an architect, I most appreciate Chris' attention to detail, the design intent of the drawings and a willingness to figure out exactly how it needs to be built. He is very thorough and capable.

Chris Jones and HR Construction did a fantastic job working with our architect and completing the renovation of our kitchen, bath, mudroom, living room and deck. He is well versed in the latest and greatest materials and industry trends. He also has creative ideas on how to preserve budget guidelines while still accomplishing the goals of the project.
