Major letdown and as a repeat client. Parts of the order wrong, made decisions without consulting client and went ahead making product without approval. When product didn't work, wouldn't fix with replacement product. Turnaround time was very slow and order was an afterthought. Client spent in the six figures. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

When we moved into our new house from a smaller apartment, we were excited, but lost when it came to picking paint colors, arranging furniture, and choosing window coverings. We needed help! Georgina made all of that easy and stress-free. She was wonderful to work with, and brought us a number of different fabrics and paint colors to choose from. She was also great at listening to our feedback and offering different options if we didn't find something we liked (though that was rare! her samples were gorgeous!). We ended up deciding to purchase all of our window coverings through her, even though it was outside of our original price range; however, we are happy that we invested in it because the curtains are beautiful, extremely well made, and have really helped make our house feel more like a home. We've lived here for a year now and are so, SO glad that we decided to work with Georgina. You won't be disappointed!

They have done our interior design for 23 years in all rooms of our house. For each project we were presented with selections of colors, fabrics, furniture types, wall coverings, and combinations of all of those to make a room complete. The estimates they gave us allowed us to make revisions to fit within our budget. We always ended up with furniture and rooms that are beautifully custom designed.

I was interested in Georgina Rice because of how she can assist in designing a very small space in an elegant and understated style. The quality especially in the window and wall drapes and treatments, together with her suggestion on bringing in a lighting consultant was excellent.

Georgina, Suresh, and all their staff are terrific. They have lovely taste, can adapt to suit a variety of budgets, have access to beautiful fabrics, and are familiar with innumerable furniture makers. They can design furniture and have staff that do excellent upholstery work. They are also delightful company, friendly and funny, and tactful. They have carried out several projects for me over the past ten years and every day I love the way my house looks.

I hired Georgina to re-upholstery a sofa, including picking out the fabric, picking up the sofa and then returning it upon completion. The workmanship was of the highest quality, and I would highly recommend this team,

In 1995 we lost a house in SF to a fire. We moved into an Apartment in Pac Hgts and were fortunate enough to have Georgina and Co do the window coverings, my daughters’ room, and some other custom upholstery for us. While the total bill shocked me when it was presented - now some 20 years later, we have redone those same draperies, moved them into four or five different houses over the years, shortened them, lengthened them, and used the almost constantly for 20 plus years - and they still look as good as they day they were made! How she does her magic is beyond me. But she does literally perform magic with fabric and thread. The artistry she puts into every Georgina Rice piece is unimaginable. And the result is the client gets far more than merely their monies worth! They get a drapery or a bed hanging or an upholstered piece that may well be passed on down to their children and beyond perhaps! Amazing! Expensive, and worth every nickel she charges! Trust me. Even if have to take a loan - have Georgina do your windows and upholstery. You will NEVER regret it. We haven’t in over twenty years now...

Georgina Rice & Co did an amazing job helping us choose furniture, draperies, rugs etc., for our Historic 1924 Mediterranean home up in the Berkeley Hills. The historic estate had been completely renovated and needed a "good eye" to finish where our architects let off. Georgina and Suresh are the best, we made decisions together as opposed to them choosing for us, we spent a lot of time looking at fabric, furniture, rugs....and in the end we felt that we were totally involved in making the decisions. We highly recommend Georgina Rice & Co. They are the best.

Bedroom design consisting of lamps and fabrics for shades/drapes, armchair, bedspread, decorative pillows. We had chosen the carpet, wall color, and furniture on our own. Georgina worked well with our choices and created, at our request, a "jewel-box" look. The room is rich and peaceful and has a luxurious feel. We love being in the room.

Suresh Mirchand and Georgina Rice are tremendously talented, fun and easy to work with. They can accommodate a range of budgets, from quite modest to frankly extravagant. When I first met them, I was just beginning to buy furniture rather than use family hand-me -downs. They helped with some reupholstering and throw pillows made beautifully in their own workshop. As my taste matured and as I began to have a little bigger budget, they have helped remodel several rooms in my house. They have chosen paint, window treatments, furniture, lighting, rugs and ornaments. Their fabric choices are lovely and the range of fabric available to them is incredible. They have supervised workmen and recommended reliable workers, furniture repairmen and deliverymen. Their estimates have been accurate. They explain their fee structure clearly and make asking questions easy. They work within budget. They have been as wonderful and professional with very small projects( "I want a new lamp") as with large ones("let's gut the living and dining rooms"). They recognize that a client who is using a designer for the first time may be a little nervous but may become a long-term customer. My most recent project was an overhaul of a long hallway in a San Francisco flat. They set it up as a gallery for photographs and chose a lovely, large, distressed glass mirror to anchor the space. It made a routine passageway look beautiful, It is as if I've added a room.
