Gail created an unbelievable transformation in our back yard with her artistic talents using special proportion, color and texture. Our overgrown backyard has become a totally new living space that we enjoy daily. She listened carefully to our dreams and was able to create a multi level and functional area that exceeded our expectations. We have several entertainment zones including a heated covered pavilion, in ground pool, surrounding stone retaining wall, sunning and gaming area. She is a pleasure to work with and a true artist and professional. Thank you Gail for making our dreams comes true.

We thought our landscape looked tired and simply plain. Our property borders a golf course with lots of people passing by and we wanted to dress it up. I have gardened for years but a combination of pine trees, thin soil and odd arrangement to the sun had me stumped. Sure, I would pot some things, pick up a sundry plant or flower here and there but there was no cohesive design. What plants worked best in my yard? I wanted as much color throughout the season as I could get but not have to be a slave to my yard. Last summer ('18) I did some research and came across Gail Scott of Lotus Designs. We set a date for her to visit the property where she took copious pictures and engaged my wife and I as to what colors we like, what we liked and didn't like about our yard and fully engaged us. Weeks later I received a suggested design with notes of options for various locations. She followed up with a phone call to discuss the design and get our input. Gail really knows her plants, knows the area, the soil, and the challenges of gardening/landscaping in the North Carolina Sand Hills. She does the design work but has worked with a valued contractor to do the installation if the client desires. As this was an extensive renovation, removal of old hedges, sod, composting, irrigation, and many new plants I deferred to Gail and her contractor, Victor's Landscape to do the work. If you simply want a design and do it yourself she is happy to do that. We set a date for the late fall for the work to be done as the cooler weather would mean less stress on young plants. Gail supervised Victor and his crew. They work together seamlessly. The renovation looked great immediately but by spring it is fabulous! The mix of lush greens and colors is perfect! Gail provided notes for suggested annuals and perennials which are spot on so I can do a little gardening myself against this terrific backdrop. I followed up with Gail recently asking about certain flowers and recommended compost. She was very responsive and addressed my questions without hesitation. We asked Victor to add some low voltage lighting to enhance the look in the evenings. Victor is well schooled in landscape lighting design and the results are dramatic. I could go on and on about this experience but let me sum it up: Gail is outstanding! We couldn't be more pleased and give our highest recommendation! Cost? VERY reasonable! I had set a much higher budget for the work yet it came in far below what I had expected to pay.

We know nothing about landscaping so we had to put all of our faith and trust in Gail, and we were not disappointed! She is honest, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail. It was a major project and she organized the entire thing, relieving us from the minutiae of coordinating the project. We are thrilled with results, she transformed our backyard into a sanctuary.

Gail was nothing short of amazing. We have had several designers work with us on our home and no one was able to take our vision and deliver like her. Her availability and follow through ensured our vision and her design came to life.

From start to finish working with Lotus Designs specifically Gail was seamless. She has the depth of talent coupled with extensive experience to guide us through our walkway project. We were aprehensive about key aspects and she patiently discussed all our options and candidly provided suggestions. The whole project she was our liason between us and the installer......culminating in superb results. We unhesitatingly recommend her for your project.

Gail designed & implemented a fantastic backyard setting for us around our new pool. She was friendly, professional and so very knowledgable! She kept in touch with us on each step of the project. We would highly recommend her!

Gail did a phenomenal job on our complete backyard renovation. Our backyard was bare and very boring. It was in in need of a complete transformation and that is exactly what Gail gave us. It is now a beautiful landscaped space with a gorgeous patio and fireplace that we totally are in love with. She was there every step of the way monitoring every step and I loved her hands on attitude. She shared our excitement along the way as if it were her own home. Lotus Design Landscaping recently did a fantastic job on a total makeover of our landscaping. The owner of Lotus Designs Landscaping, Gail Scott, designed a 640 sq ft patio which included a fire pit and hot tub. The front of our house includes many colorful flowers and plants. The side of the house includes a "Doggie Playground" with a very nice fence and planting. Lead by Gail our home went from being overgrown and unmanageable to one of the best in the neighborhood. During the project Gail worked with us to fine tune the design and to insure we were completely satisfied with the overall results. We are very happy with Gail & Lotus Designs Landscaping and recommend them 100%!

We were building a brand new house and Gail helped us choose trees and plants that would thrive in the Sandhills. She also helped us come up with a plan for a future patio and fire pit. She was easy to work with and very accessible. We will definitely use her again in the future!

Gail designed our new home landscape plan in 2002, and this deck in 2014. She was very attentive to our likes and goals and we are so happy with the results. She visited the project often during the construction phase. The construction team she recommended was fantastic ... real craftsmen!!! We used Trex composite decking. Though more expensive than wood, the look and feel and maintenance of Trex are really superior. Gail gave us expense estimates for both Trex and wood. In this space, about 500 sq ft, we wanted several gathering areas plus room for our square 8-seat table. We love the benches and the bench with backrest, all were Gail's ideas! Next year we will add lighting under the benches and lights in the trees that shade the deck.

Gail assisted us with the design as well as the implementation of a total landscape renovation of our house. Not only were we extremely pleased with her design but we were also very impressed with her flexibility. We made some major alterations in her initial plan (with which we had concurred) and while she could easily have objected, she instead listened to our revised thoughts and then rendered an extraordinary final plan. Along the way, she stayed actively involved with the implementation (which was done by a firm she recommended) which in turn led a result with which we could not be more pleased. If someone wants a professional who will listen to their desires, work within their timeframes, keep within their budget, and see the project through to completion, then Lotus Designs is the firm they should choose. We could not recommend her more highly.
