FRANCIS LOETTERLE + LAURIE AUSTIN, Architecture and Interior Design, is a new full service practice based in Seattle, Washington and dedicated to beautiful outcomes. Our primary focus is new homes, remodels, and residential interiors. Francis Loetterle, AIA Emeritus has forty-five years of residential design experience. Since 1992 Fran has worked as a consultant and volunteer Architect for Social Benefit in the United States and around the world. Laurie Austin has practiced interior design in Seattle since 1980, focusing on residential and professional office interiors. Her special training in fine and decorative arts, world cultures and exhibit design bring a unique dimension to her work. When faced with complex problems we create unique, often multifaceted solutions that are strong, timeless, and sustainable: spiritually, psychologically, socially, economically, technologically and, of course, ecologically. We keep our designs and design process simple; focused on our client’s goals. Our designs are utilitarian and minimal, made personal by and for our clients. Our homes are always unique because our clients and their goals are unique, the cultural, political and economic context is always unique, and the site is always unique. The construction technology is always unique because project goals, context and site are always unique. Our interior design is always unique for similar reasons, because the client’s preferences, culture, budget and life style are always unique. We’d like to start a conversation.
