Working with Esther made our kitchen and master bathroom renovation a breeze. She was great at honing in on exactly what we like stylistically and prompted us to think about functional issues as well. Needless to stay we love the result.

Esther helped us design the common areas of our new home. We loved working with her and are super happy with her design and selection of furniture! She not only saved us tons of time and energy, but also educated us on things we would have not known if we were doing this on our own (as first time home owners). Thankfully, Esther's support of our extensively-expanded and renovated brownstone continued well past the formal end of our originally contracted arrangements. We LOVE Esther - me, my husband and the kids - really! I know when I like something, but am not good at putting it all together and my husband was in and out and would often say, just ask Esther. From start to finish, she listened to what we were trying to do and sometimes even extracted what I did not know we wanted. Our biggest objective was that we needed a room to accommodate our three girls to sleep, keep their toys and clothes, and we also wanted to brighten up the kitchen. The kids even looked at the drawings for their space and weighed in too. One of the things I am most grateful for, is Esther's respect of our budget and her direction on where we should make our investments and where to let it go a little. From back and forth on a custom designed double loft, to selecting paint colors, she made me think about how the design would grow with our family. She is just so pleasant and professional in all of her interactions, even as we navigated the usual contractor hiccups, she coached me through from beginning to end, stopping in, looking at progress photos. She was so responsive as I stressed about timelines. Now a few months post completion, I am already appreciating the versatility of the design. Having talked and met with other designers, I also feel like she helped us identify our own aesthetic more than imposing her own. We are so grateful and loving our new and improved home. My daughter shays she can't even remember what it was like before, but that she just LOVES living in our home. Is there more of a compliment?

I am the President of the Board of Directors of a 3-storey condo in Westchester county. We wanted to paint our lobby and hallways to improve our interior. However, it seemed so intimidating to pick out colors, not to mention wasting money if we didn't like the chosen colors or worse, have to endure our mistakes if we picked the wrong colors, or get blamed by unit owners for our poor taste. After calling around, we found Esther Chi who was just such a pleasure to work with. She asked a lot of questions even before coming out to meet us in order to understand our needs. She had some ideas in mind when she came, bringing with her big swatches of color chips. Then she walked around the building, evaluating each color against the lighting in order to make her recommendations. She also took careful notes and pictures of what she saw. Within a few days, she gave us a whole list of colors to paint, exact brand, paint number all neatly labeled for ceiling, baseboard, doors, elevator doors, top wall, bottom wainscoting. We just showed that to the painter who carried out her instructions. During the painting, when we were not clear what color to paint the air vents, she happily provided advice even though our consultation was long over. Best part, many of the unit owners responded very positively towards the color change. Some were unsure, feeling that it was quite a departure from what we had but within days, everyone said they had warmed up to the color combination. Even those unit owners who usually had nothing but complaints emailed me to let me know how much they like the new color. We couldn't be happier. Sometimes when a decision gets too hard or interior decorating is not your forte, or members in your Board do not agree, wise up and hire a professional interior decorator like Esther Chi. You won't regret it. In fact, I got the credit and none of the blame. I can't bear to think of the consequences of not hiring her. Especially for a budget conscious building such as ours, it was money well spent!!! Thank Your Esther!

Esther provided design and product selections for our bathroom and finished attic renovation. She works efficiently and pays attention to details at the same time. She was a tremendous help during the construction phase to ensure my contractor execute the installation according to design. She also offered a number of suggestions to upgrade and decorate my house. She has great taste and creative ideas. She is easy to work with and the project was completed on time. I am a boutique Plastic Surgery office with an in-house surgery center catering mainly to a Cosmetic and Reconstructive practice in the Seattle area.
