Brett Grinkmeyer

When we started planning our renovation (a multi-room re-do of a 1950s bungalow), we spoke with a number of architects/designers. Brett stood out because A) his portfolio is impressive B) his work has a modern edge C) he's really easy to work with. We got the impression that Brett was there to help us, and not to steamroll us into a particular design. We liked his designs right off the bat, except for a few details, and he was happy to show us options for those items. We found a contractor and a few months later we're living in our lovely new home! Brett was available throughout the process to consult with the contractor and find work-arounds when unexpected things popped up. If you're on the fence about hiring an architect, bear in mind that it's only a small percent of overall cost, and it really helps smooth the process.

Brett is the architect on a whole-house remodel we are doing in Austin. He stepped up when the designer decided to exit. Brett is fast, responsive, sharp, smart. We went from concept to drawings in, what, two weeks? He made suggestions all the way through, as we refined and opened up the house during demo to make discoveries. He took our ideas, focused them into what we could actually build; can't wait to see how the sketches on paper convert into lumber.

My husband and I hired Brett for a kitchen remodel which ended up having an amazing impact on our entire living space. He was very easy to work with and we feel that he listened to our needs designing a living space that work with our lifestyle, budget, and aesthetics. During the construction of the project he was available for questions and took it upon himself to follow up to see how the build out was coming. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and not only would I recommend him for any home redesign, if we need to do more work to our home we will reach back out to him.
