After interviewing a few designers, I decided to hire Patty Koskovich to help my husband and I with our complete upstairs remodel. Initially we were just doing the living area and kitchen. I had never hired a designer before, so I wanted one with experience and lived in our area since we weren't familiar with which places to go for flooring, tiles, countertops and all the other things you need for a remodel project. She came to our house and walked us through the whole process. She let us know our options in terms of what services she could provide and how much each would cost. We were lucky to also have a creative contractor and the two of them worked well together. Our laundry area was right off the kitchen and you could see it from the living area; one of the first things she suggested was simple, but none of us had thought of it. Her idea was to move the washer and dryer to the other side of the room! It made an amazing difference, we got a bigger kitchen, my husband got a coffee nook, and now our laundry area was hidden, a win/win! We initially hired Patty to help with color, my husband and I went round and round and still couldn't make a decision. She helped us choose colors that we liked but also would enhance resale down the line. At that point we knew it would save us a lot of time and frustration to have her help us with all of our big decisions. We brought several flooring samples home and she helped us find one that added interest but not distraction, (not our first choice but turned out to be perfect in the end). After we picked cabinets, Patty went with us to the pick countertop's that would look nice with them, as well as look good with the flooring and wall colors. She did not steer us to her taste, but rather helped us discover our own style. We are now in the second phase of our project, and once again we needed her help choosing colors for the bedroom and bathroom that wouldn't clash with the living area colors and she did not disappoint. Since this was my first time using an interior designer, I have nothing to compare it to, but I would not hesitate to call on her again when and if we ever tackle another project like this. She was not the least expensive designer I talked to, but I found her billing to be very fair and with her years of experience and her expertise in every aspect of building and design, it was money well spent. Remodeling is very stressful, we appreciated the fact that if we asked Patty for her opinion she was happy to oblige but was never pushy, and ultimately she let the decisions be ours. She helped us make the best choices for our project, saved us time and headaches, and inadvertently, probably helped keep our marriage intact. The first and last pictures are before pics

Patty worked with us to remodel our kitchen and family room 6 years ago. We still love the space. She helped coordinate all the materials and colors and worked patiently with us as we arrived at all those decisions. Would definitely hire her for a project like this again--but we won't have to, as we are still extremely happy with the fabulous results.

Patty was great to work with and has a wonderful sense of color and style. She did an excellent job of coordinating with my contractor and realtor as this was a remote project.

We hired Patty on a retainer as we need help in only certain specific areas for our complete kitchen remodel. She did a great job listening to us and then recommended colors/products to us based upon our input. She reviewed our selections and either liked them or gave feedback for improvements.

We remodeled the house to eliminate as much man-made chemicals, materials and surfaces as possible due to serious chemical sensitivity issues. All floors needed to be replaced. The counters and cabinets needed to be replaced along with the kitchen appliances. Most furniture needed replacing plus we wanted pictures for the walls and area rugs. Because we couldn't travel, Patty (Koskovich) did the searching for us, bringing samples to us to touch to verify they were "safe." Patty worked with suppliers to identify materials that were compatible. There was a fair amount of project "creep" as we realized more areas that needed work. She did a wonderful job tracking down all the various components that made up the kitchen, bathrooms, and master bedroom, coordinating all the colors and textures to produce a visually gorgeous display. She acted as the "contractor" to bring in most of the various "subs" to do the jobs. Overall we were very, very pleased with the results and allowed Patty to submit her work in an interior design competition.

We sought Patty Koskovich's expertise this past year because we: replaced all the flooring (hardwood & carpet) in our home, painted all the interior walls, replaced all the window coverings, spruced up the kitchen with new countertops, tile backsplash, hw flooring, sink, fridge, oven, cabinet hardware, and bought all new furniture, area rug, tables, and accents for the living room and rec room. And updated lighting throughout the whole house, which also makes a huge difference. At the outset, we felt completely overwhelmed, inexperienced and inadequate with all the choosing, coordinating of aesthetics from room to room and decision-making involved. We suspected that an interior designer like Patty would be of great benefit in helping us to pull everything together throughout the house and make wise recommendations for both function and beauty so that our updating dollars were well-spent and pleasing to us long into the future. Read on! Jackpot! Patty met with us several times in our home, took photos & measurements, discussed with and advised us, helped us shop and choose several times, sent product suggestions our way, and checked in with us, as well as coordinating various parts of the projects. Over about a year or so, figuring in the various tradesmen involved with installation, our home was nicely transformed! Whether you need a small or large amount of assistance, hiring an interior designer like Patty is always a good and worthwhile idea! Plus, she was great to work with in every way. She respected our budget and advised us accordingly, too. We love the results.

I highly recommend Patty as an interior designer. Patty worked with me to transform my home into the beautiful comfortable retreat I dreamed of. Patty listened to my objectives and captured my personal style. She re configured my furniture so it looked and worked far better. Patty picked out floor coverings and window treatments that finished the spaces beautifully and she worked with me selecting paint colors for each room. Communication was great- I set a budget which Patty worked within and she finished the project within my time frame. I will definately work with Patty on my next project.
