I loved working with Daniel at Desired Space. He helped renovate my home by remodeling and designing the interior of my home and with the decor. After my initial meeting with him I knew, I was going to hire him. I had all kinds of ideas of what I wanted to do, and I also had a budget. Daniel thought my ideas were cute but in all honestly, I had no idea what I was talking about. He helped guide me on what I should really invest my budget on and provided alternatives for the other stuff so that could be within my budget. His attention to detail was impressive with my furniture, color and stone selection, and spatial arrangement. He had a great ability to understand my needs and preferences and communicated with me throughout the entire process. I really appreciated his innovative ideas that enhanced the overall aesthetic of my home. He was very professional. Overall, I was so satisfied and happy with the outcome! I couldn't wait until my house was complete but once it was, I LOVED it! I love coming home to it every day. I would recommend him to anyone!

The Desired Space team did a fantastic job remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms. From initial planning to execution, the design, demolition and construction/installation process was executed in a very professional manner. The only “glitch” involved delayed delivery by the outside subcontractor for our new cabinets, but was not the fault of the team at Desired Space. Daniel’s designs were clean and modern. Ashley was instrumental in making selections for fixtures, tile and lighting throughout the home. I was especially impressed with the work accomplished by Mathew, who oversaw the actual contractors working on the home. Matt’s attention to detail, timely communication, reliability and demonstrated skill in high-quality construction techniques is clearly evident throughout. Overall, Desired Space can be counted on to deliver a superior product.

Daniel is a true artist when it comes to designing! Daniel and his wonderful team helped me furnish a newly purchased home and it was everything I could have asked for. Daniel listened to my ideas of what I wanted and truly created several beautifully furnished spaces in our home. The one great thing I liked about him was he LISTENED to me and heard what I wanted, not what he wanted. And if I was unsure of a suggestion he made he was totally cool with it, and kept reminding me this needs to be what I invision. I absolutely love everything he helped me with, and again, I look at it and say, yes, this is my home and how I was visioning everything. His eye for color in blending everything from the furniture to wallpaper, stonework, window treatments, art and other accessories is fantastic!! He and his team have been a true pleasure to work with. Because of Covid, some things were taking longer when ordering. Daniel and his assistant, Ashley were wonderful communicators and always kept me updated on arrivals or delays (luckily, there were very few of those). I couldn't be happier with the finished job and am so happy I found him.

All we can say is WOW. From the very beginning of this journey to the gorgeous finale, every stage was executed flawlessly and on time. We were first introduced to Daniel when we needed assistance with a small project several years ago. We loved his advice then, so when we were tackling this big remodel, we called him again. His operation and business has grown significantly, but his caring, attention to detail, and flawless taste were again spot on. Looking at his website, he has completed many projects that are gorgeous, sleek and modern, but our home is very traditional and includes a warm palette. Daniel’s advice, paint, material choices, and designs are perfect in our traditional, warm home, and we couldn’t be happier. Daniel and his team Ashley and Matt transformed our outdated, tired bathrooms and kitchen into beautiful spaces we are pleased to show off to our friends and guests. From the moment Daniel Matus walked into our home for a consultation, I felt an instant connection. He brought two Desired Space team members with him, one to take pictures (after asking for permission first) and one to take notes. This commitment of time and resources shows how seriously Daniel takes his consultations. Our directive was simple - modernize our home and add a few wow factors. After taking in the nuances of our home and listening to my initial thoughts, Daniel began describing his ideas as we walked from room to room, seeming to incorporate my style and aesthetics at every turn. When other designers had offered vague concepts and "whatever you like" phrases, Daniel spoke in details (remove arches, tile wall, extend stone, bump-out wall) for particular locations (this wall, that fireplace) and with textures (stone, tile, glass, wallpaper). He was creative, knowledgeable, humorous and eccentric with just the right amount of arrogance. Color patterns and other specifics would follow, but in this initial visit, I could visualize his concept and the wow factors that would transform our home. It was clear to me Desired Space was the right design firm for me. Updating our home included squaring-off walkway arches; removing 1999 art-deco drywall curves; filling in a wall-recessed built-in media cabinet; removing a drywall hearth; removing a glass block and drywall shower separation; replacing etched baseboards with a more modern 5" white version; replacing builder-grade interior doors with solid-core, 9-panel doors painted white; replacing all brass-nickel-combo door hardware with black; painting ceilings white and walls a light gray throughout; retro-fitting LED recessed cans with white baffles; replacing biscuit-colored toilets with white, water-efficient flushing; replacing builder-grade cabinets with European style fronts and finished interiors; and replacing ceiling fans. These changes updated our home to the more modern feel we wanted and were all outlined by Daniel in that first consultation. The biggest wow factor is the incredible transformation of our master bathroom. While some design and finish choices were modified in varying degrees in other rooms over the course of the project, the master bath finishes as chosen by Daniel were perfect from the start. The colors are calming, and the vibe feels like an outdoor spa. We are absolutely ecstatic with the end result! Other wow factors we love are the stone wall in the master bedroom, complete with reclaimed wood fireplace mantle; the stone, floor-to-ceiling fireplace chimney in the great room; the stone pedestal sink and lighting of the powder room; and the extreme quaintness of our guest bath, which includes recycling the old master shower glass side panel as an artful and functional separation piece. During a huge project like this, there are a lot of decisions for the home owner to make. At every stage of work, from confirming measurements to selecting accessories, Daniel and his Project Coordinator Ashley Lopez were much-needed and much-appreciated resources. One thing I know about myself is that I have the tendency to over-decorate. So before hanging a piece of artwork or before purchasing mirrors, light fixtures, wall decor and the like, a text to Daniel and/or Ashley got me a quick thumbs up or thumbs down response. Daniel also helped me reduce my existing "chotchkies" in a creative way. He suggested displaying vintage photographs, smaller paintings and watercolors collected from past vacations, and shadow boxes of fun memorabilia as an art gallery in an entryway alcove. At every turn, having Daniel and Ashley's expertise was icing on the cake.

I hired Desired Space for my master bedroom/bathroom renovation and I am so happy I did. Daniel Matus is an interior designer and licensed contractor that also has a great staff to work with at the office. The office staff (especially Ashley Lopez, project coordinator) is easy to reach by phone and emails regularly. Daniel himself was involved in the renovation not only by planning, but regular site visits for quality control through each phase of the project before continuing to the next. I have had other companies in the past that have missed important steps in the renovation process that were costly to fix. My home was built in the 1970s so my projects usually uncovered unexpected repairs along the way. If you ever think an interior designer is on the expensive side, let me remind you that you get what you pay for!!! In a home renovation every detail matters and needs a licensed and insured professional. Daniel Matus and his staff think of every detail and also suggest ideas to you that fit your lifestyle and needs. I really can’t emphasize how happy I am that I hired Desired Space.

Wow!!! My home is the home I dreamed about but had no idea how to transform or create or where to start. Daniel(the designer) came to my home. He talked with me and got to know me on what was important to live comfortably and how to display this. My Catholic Faith is very important to me and with his expertise he designed a custom entry in my home to display a replica painting of the Vilinius Divine Mercy. It is absolutely beautiful and everyday it brings me joy to see and know Jesus, I trust in You, the message of this painting. Especially during this pandemic. My family room no longer has a piece of furniture up against the wall with a tv on it. I have a mounted tv behind a custom built tile and beautiful custom cabinetry and lighting!! He also added lighting to a dim lit family room and kitchen area.All my guests love the beauty and work done in our home. My bathrooms no longer have those quick install showers. They have hand piece tiles from top to bottom and custom beautiful tall thick glass enclosures. They also both have custom fixtures and custom seating. We also replaced the standard track home bathroom lighting, sink fixtures and mirror. My home was built in 2016 and very nice, but needed custom touches to enhance the true beauty of my home. I really in this rating can not give you the fullness of what was designed in my home from before nice but boring to WOW!!!! Daniel the designer is super easy to work with and his team is amazing!!! He really does listen to his client and makes sure you are happy!! His assistant Ashley was so helpful. Every step of the way is an easy process.Timely and always well explained in advance. Matt that does all the actual construction became like family working for about two months He has a great personalty, respectful and neat in our home. My five year old granddaughter would ask is Matt at your house today? He was on time and thorough while doing so much construction in the home.He made sure we could still live in our home and he would clean up the work area at the end of the day. My final steps after our new Lab puppy grows up a bit more is to purchase some new furniture with Daniels help. I am looking forward to this last step and only stopped because of the new puppy not understanding not jumping or trying to chew.

We cannot thank Daniel, Ashley, and the entire team at Desired Space LLC enough for the outstanding job they did absolutely transforming our home! From an ordinary subdivision house to an OMG Spanish Colonial-style masterpiece, it is almost unrecognizable. Daniel listened in earnest to all of our requests and accommodated them all. When we did not have specific ideas for some detail, Daniel’s recommendations were spot on. He sometimes literally seemed to read our minds regarding our wishes for the place. In addition to design services, Daniel served as project manager for the relatively extensive renovations - which was critical for us as the property is an out-of-town vacation home and we were not onsite. Communication regarding the project was timely and clear. Thanks again to the entire Desired Space team for the incredible transformation! Most highly recommended!!!

My husband and I first met Daniel with Desired Space in the fall of 2017 after reading positive reviews in houzz. We knew we wanted to do a remodel in our home but did not know how to proceed in an efficient manner. Daniel came to our home within a day of us contacting him and our journey thus began. I shared with Daniel my hopes and expectations and he took charge from there. In short, we changed the color palette of the house; new hardware throughout; upgrading and installing lighting; new baseboards and the most dramatic feature was a new stone wall with a state of the art fireplace. During construction we encountered a couple of surprises with outside roofing and an air conditioning vent in need of repair but these items were handled flawlessly. Daniel and his team were amazing in transforming our home into a modern, updated version worthy of the twenty-first century. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. The entire process was efficient and Daniel was great with working around our schedule and had finished the main body of work almost two weeks ahead of the anticipated time frame. We did exceed our budget but were very pleased with the upgrades and changes made throughout the process. If we do another home project, Daniel at Desired Space will be our first call!

Let me begin by telling you that I have never had a contractor or service (concrete, landscape, roofing, repair) that I have not had some kind of a problem with. Either the work was shoddy or incomplete or late or too costly or less than what was represented. I am happy to report that I can no longer make that claim. Desired Space (Daniel Matus, Principal Designer) helped design and manage a $400,000 major interior house renovation. We lived out of state, 2,500 miles away and executed an extensive home remodel in Henderson where we planned to relocate to. Consequently we relied heavily on Daniel and his Team to design according to our desires, select finishes (lighting, toilets, counters, granite, quartz, tile, hardware, appliances, etc. etc.) for us to choose from. The details were many, the challenges were many and The Boss (my wife) was certain she knew what she wanted. Desired Space delivered against all of that in a professional, responsible, efficient and effective manner. Consequently they get our highest rating. I would be happy to provide additional information if you are considering doing work Desired Space can help you with. SUMMARY: Daniel and his Team are honest as the day is long. They are reliable, conversant, funny, engaging and dependable. They were honest, professional, communicative, creative, sensitive to our needs, excellent with their advice, designed to what we asked for, responsible, pleasant to work with and provided outstanding service and services. Desired space designed our numerous changes, dealt with the City and HOAs, managed the contractors, ensured work was done to exacting standards, tracked the costs, sourced vendors and appointments, inspected and had improvements made, and generally made our experience a very good one. Our home turned out better than we had hoped and Daniel and Desired Space carried the weight of the burden for us. Even our two (2) HOAs were pleased with their effort which in itself is remarkable! We would confidently and happily recommend Desired Space to anyone in need of capable and creative design consultants, project planners and coordinators.

We used Daniel for a total redesign of our master bathroom. My husband and I felt he was extremely professional. He was always on time and met deadlines as he had specified. We absolutely loved the construction company he brought to us; a company we would not have otherwise been able to find on our own. The ENTIRE bathroom was redesigned in only 2.5 weeks, after a few months of planning and design, and looks like it is straight out of a magazine!!! Seriously!!! We couldn't be more happy, and would hire Daniel again for sure!!!!

We began working with Daniel at Desired Space back in summer of 2015 when we decided to update our kitchen (mainly) as well as make numerous upgrades throughout the living/dining room area. We had thought about trying to do the updates on our own, but were extremely overwhelmed with all the options and how to go about making any of these desired changes! That's when we found Daniel/Desired Space! We have nothing but positive things to say about Daniel and his team's professionalism, timeliness, positive attitude and GREAT ideas! Daniel Matus, the owner and head designer at Desired Space is the utmost interior design professional. He is honest, considerate and easy to work with. When we moved into our home, the flooring and wall colors were not compatible with our taste. Daniel listened carefully and then created a design that was perfect. I have subsequently used Daniel and the Desired Space team to remodel my home office, design window treatments and for furniture and wall decor recommendations. I absolutely love my home and will continue to use and recommend Desired Space for all of our future projects.

I've had Desired Space help me with three projects in my home since I moved in over a year and a half ago. My first project was painting the house, changing all the doors, and changing the baseboards. The second project was adding floating shelves to the living room. The latest project was my kitchen. Shortly after I moved into my house Daniel came to my house, saw my space, and listened to what I had in mind. He took all of my information and my vision for my house and gave me several design options (paint colors, countertop choices, backsplash choices, hardware). Since I'm trying to work within my budget I didn't do everything at once. Daniel has been very accommodating and really tries to work within your budget. For example, to replace the countertop and add the backsplash in my kitchen the estimate came in a little higher than my budget would allow, so we revised the plan and took out the backsplash. This is something I can do later. Daniel and the team at Desired Space have always been very attentive to my needs. They are really good at responding to phone and email messages. Even though I've know Daniel for many years, before he helped me with my house, he is always professional in every way. I sought the help of a designer after the shape and home entry created an awkward space and presented a design challenge beyond my amateur skills. Daniel provided a design plan that would allow us to live in our "great room" and stay within a budget under $5k. He was thoughtful to ensure the space was livable with our lifestyle and the fact that we have 2 small children. I appreciated his insights about how our pieces would compliment eachother and the space, and his instincts about his recommendations for our room. Phenomenal experience making my first home my own! They were excellent at capturing what I had in my mind. Respectful of my budget and handled every detail so I never had to stress! A year and a half later my home sold in 3 days with multiple offers. I had so many compliments from the detailed upgrades they made.

I hired Desired Space to update my living room. The idea was to give it a more modern feel without loosing the inviting environment I enjoy having in my home. I feel with the incorporation of new pieces with some of the pieces that I wanted to keep, we were able to create a sophisticated room.
