Derek was prompt in getting onsite to take field measurements of existing conditions and drawings per dates he committed to. He also showed a lot of flexibility and knowledge in the range of projects he’s worked on and I would highly recommend him for any project you have: from investment property rehabs to high-end builds.

Derek’s work was extraordinary! He made the process fun and painless. My dream project looks flawless. I plan to work with him on future endeavors.

Derek Uskert is an exceptionally skilled architect and designer who took painstakingly steps to design my newly built dream home which resonates in the quality of the final masterpiece. Derek did a fantastic job helping us with our house remodel/addition project. Starting with reworking architectural drawing, then overlooking the creation of construction drawings and permitting, he also was extremely helpful and always instantly available throughout the entire course of the construction. Those are verbatim quotes from the first two weeks of visitors to our home. Derek did a fantastic job understanding our taste, and designing a home that matched it. His design, however, was far better than what we could have imagined. We requested "timeless, traditional, charming, whimsical, elegant". Derek delivered on all of it. He is intelligent, intuitive, responsive and highly skilled. In addition to the design and engineering phases, he supervised construction to ensure compliance with building, energy efficiency, and Bureau of Sanitation codes, as well as ensuring that his design was implemented by my contractor. The result: a well built, energy efficient home. that looks just like his original sketch. Attached is the color rendering that was done prior to the start of construction. Derek, My wife an I hired Derek to redesign our kitchen and some other items around the house. He came up with a plan that my wife and I loved for an open concept kitchen. We were originally going to just re-do the kitchen, but once we saw his plan there was no question it was a better option. Better for our lives and for the resale! The plan is completed and we are getting ready for construction. He has made himself available for all of our questions and was easy to work with on several revisions. We highly recommend Derek and are excited to share pictures once the job is complete. TK

Worked with derek over a year long period beginning with as built drawings and continuing on through the minutiae of a huge full house reno project. Apart from amazing skills he also has the patience of a statue; which when dealing with all the hassles associated with renovation projects, can certainly come in handy.

Derek has a keen eye for spacial planning and creative design, specifically in small spaces where maximizing usage and multi-functional usage are requested. We would use him again and would refer him again.

Derek designed a re-design of our master bath to make it more functional and pretty! We told him our budget and he came back with designs and we had it done...That is exactly how simple it was. Derek understood exactly what we wanted and that is/was exactly what we got. The room is very elegant has simple clean lines and we love it. Derek is so easy to work with, he listens and then shows and if not what you wanted, he's back at the drawing board. When we have more to re-model, Derek is the first one we will call!

Derek a talented architect who goes above and beyond to serve his clients; he is fantastic to work with. He re-worked our 2,150sq ft ranch style house to provide a much more effective floor plan, with nice flow and great function. He created an attractive space with lots of natural light and raised ceilings. He also re-designed the front & side exterior to improve curb appeal. He introduced us to a number of quality contractors and other suppliers, and stayed close through the whole process of construction. He offered lots of options and alternatives along the way, kept us on track with design choices, and kept his sense of humor throughout! We love our new space, and get tons of compliments, even from passers-by in the street. Before-and-after valuations indicate we have more than re-couped the investment. Couldn't be happier with the end result.
