My experience with Nancy Finneson guiding my extensive home remodel was fun and fabulous. A number of architectural issues were corrected, walls removed, beautiful finishes applied, etc., so now I have a beautiful home. She has an amazing eye for design and detail along with up-to-date practical knowledge of products and techniques required to obtain the desired result. If an item has been delayed or discontinued Nancy will find a way around it - often ending up even better than the original plan. Clearly, I recommend Demane Design to those wanting a custom improved home with both form and function.

Nancy helped us transform our 1992 kitchen and family room into an enjoyable, cozy space and well the kitchen is just plain amazing with its new layout, baking center, thoughtful storage, great counter space and overall efficiency. We both love it! Nancy helped us select all of our materials right down to the size to the handles and knobs we selected for our cabinetry. She was really able to help us see the spaces before they were constructed using her 3 D cad program. We still have more spaces to update, and I can't wait to work with Nancy again. She gets the job done right!

When we decided to renovate our split-level home. built in the seventies, we had a vision for what we wanted, but didn’t know how to get there. We found Nancy and she ended up being the perfect designer for our project. We knew we were going to remove some walls to open-up our kitchen, dining and living room areas into one large space, completely renovate the bathrooms, enlarge the laundry room and add a second story deck in the back. Nancy helped us take that vision and refine it into a truly wonderful home. Her attention to the functionality of the spaces was very helpful, we would not have envisioned many of the amazing features we ended up incorporating into the project without her help. She listened to what final look we were going for and worked with us to select flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, appliances, and all the finishes throughout our home. Once the design was completed, Nancy helped us select a contractor and kept close tabs on their progress and adherence to the design throughout the construction. Our completed project is more beautiful than we could have imagined. Without reservation, we would recommend Nancy for any renovation design.

Our small, 30 year old, dining room and kitchen were overdue for a remodel. Being a log home limited what could be done, but Nancy had an eye for what would look good, and an ability to think outside the box. She designed a fully functional and cohesive kitchen and dining room that came out better than we had envisioned. It’s now a pretty space where we can cook together without being in each other’s way. A friend complimented that it looks like it was always a part of our house, rather than a remodel. After a year of heavy cooking we’re still happy with the new space. It was featured in The Fabulous Kitchen Issue (Mar/Apr “2020”) of Westsound Home & Garden magazine.

We would highly recommend Nancy Finneson as a design professional. She really came through for us on our master bedroom suite remodel where we sacrificed a small bedroom to create a large and luxurious master bath, a large walk-in closet, and an expansive bedroom. We were likely the hardest clients Nancy Finneson has ever worked with. As a couple we had quite different ideas on what we wanted to achieve and were slow in reaching mutually agreeable decisions. Many designers did not want to work with us because we insisted on doing some of the remodeling work ourselves. Not only was Nancy open to working with us, she was exceptionally patient and assisted us in making decisions. She gave us a great design plan with options and was a tremendous help in selecting colors and materials. Her access to first-class tradesmen and top-quality materials were key to the successful completion of our project. The result has truly exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Nancy and look forward to working together again soon on our kitchen remodel.

After searching for designers for our kitchen remodel, we settled on Nancy based on photos of her work in West Sound Magazine which revealed her appreciation of traditional style and her ability to upgrade it without losing sight of its aura. Also we noted her expertise in design for aging clients. In our initial meeting with her at our house, we found her to be pleasant and a careful listener. We soon found that she was quite knowledgeable about the "nuts and bolts" of the project and had a long list of experienced subcontractors for us to choose from. She also accompanied us to various suppliers of materials for the project and helped us choose wisely. She spent many hours supervising the various stages of our project. We were very satisfied with the finished results of our: flooring, cabinetry, sinks and faucets, lighting/electrical switching, and appliances. We really appreciated her use of CAD with shared computers remotely to give us ideas of space utilization, etc. She responded to our texts, emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. We intend to use her for additional remodel/upgrade projects soon.

We just completed a down-to-the-studs kitchen remodel after living in our home for over thirty years. We are in awe of how our new kitchen has aesthetically improved and simplified our daily lives. Reflecting back on the process there are so many decisions, big and small, that led up to creating this beautiful and efficient space. The most pivotal came when we reached out to Nancy Finneson, DeMane Design. Nancy listened to our goals…more utility, improved light, a new ‘wow-factor’….and quickly provided a range of choices to get us there. When Nancy became involved in the project, our eyes were opened to a world of expanded possibilities, way beyond the research and preparation we had already done. She knows the products out there and gave us options for windows, cabinets, solid surfaces, appliances, faucet, lighting, and even paint colors. Nancy’s space planning provided more storage than we ever imagined possible, even though we asked for no upper cabinets. She enlarged a window over the sink that opened a view and flooded the room with natural light by day, and working together with a lighting vendor, designed just the right recessed lighting to brighten the room by night. She brought visual contrast to the range wall by showing us a new product line that is durable, and beautiful, and made of recyclable materials. While the final choice of what vendors to use was completely up to us, inevitably the folks in Nancy’s network were the most competitive, knowledgeable, and reliable. We worked with Nancy and the cabinet maker to get just the right stain colors for our white rift oak cabinets. She could articulate beyond their stock color chips. It is truly impressive to participate in the conversation between kitchen designer and cabinet maker. From the overall picture and down to the finest detail, the last quarter inch, the drawer within a drawer and pullout insert options….it is this level of understanding that decades of experience provided. Every remodel has its own challenges, and Nancy’s agility always gave us new and elegant solutions. All the while, keeping us on a positive path! Nancy Finneson is reliable, thoughtful, easy to communicate with, gave generously of her time and talents. Nancy kept our kitchen on budget!

We couldn't have been more pleased with our fabulous designer, Nancy Finneson, and our finished project, the "dream kitchen" exceeded our expectations of what we could do with our existing space. Truly, what a difference a good designer makes! Our kitchen, while beautiful is also very functional and gets put through it's paces with our various cooking projects and experiments. Nancy listened to what we wanted as well as provided crucial input and attention to detail, all while being available to answer questions and guide us through what can be a daunting process. Really positive experience and outcome!

Nancy with Demane Design has been coming to our Fife showroom and using our tile and countertops in her designs for several years. It's always a pleasure to see her - she loves seeing new additions to our offering and is full of wonderful ideas. As a designer, Nancy is driven to deliver exactly what her clients need. Don't hesitate to hire Nancy!!! She did an outstanding job for me as the designer for my WS view condo complete remodel. She has a background that helps her better understand construction issues, and provided sound advice on all the major decisions of the project. The mosaic tile accents we selected for the bathrooms and the kitchen back spash are two areas Nancy excelled in. I highly recommend Nancy for your job.

I am saddened to write this review but after 7 months of NO response, I have to walk away from DeMane Design. I first contacted Nancy in the early spring regarding a remodel to improve a laundry room and add a master bath and bedroom. It took two months before I could get a response after our initial meeting. I sent several texts and emails and finally just told her to return our money and we would just call it a bad experience. She finally got back to us with a design that we were thrilled with. Bad news was she was dimensionally off and the design would not work. Said she would redo and get back to us. Another couple of months with no response. Communication is critically lacking and was something we both agreed on as an essential part of the relationship. It is now a few days from October and I have had no communication or response from her. Again several texts and emails. I selected Nancy because of our need for ADA design assistance. We are out the money we paid her and the cost to retain an attorney is greater than the money we have lost. This is an addendum to the above. After further discussion and the desire of both parties to remedy the "bad start," we have agreed to move forward with our design/project. As of this date, am pleased to say that we have a design that works and couldn't be more pleased with the layout and expert assistance we have received from Nancy. We have met with her list of suppliers and are well on our way to establishing a start date in early 2017. Nancy will be a huge asset as we move forward and will serve to assure that the design comes to fruition and meets our full expectations.

I was impressed with this designers awards for small bathroom design and sought advice on a very small bathroom in our 125 year old house. She did not disappoint and offered multiple designs all with pros and cons to fit in our budget and our needs. Finally we agreed on a design that fit all of our needs and brought our old house into the 21st century while retaining the beauty and charm we love about it. Nancy was a joy to work with and gave her time and talents so freely. She was always there with an answer and the end results could never have been achieved without her talent and insights. I recommend her without hesitation and am already planning a kitchen update with her help.

The kitchen that Nancy helped us with is on her Houzz profile. Nancy used her extensive experience and knowledge to steer us in the right direction to achieve our goals. Her input actually helped us build the space out properly to fit our appliances and seating options. She chose finishes, materials and fixtures that I never would have found, and pulled it all together beautifully. She also gave us what we asked for and respected our priorities, adding to them with little details and touches that we still appreciate every day. Nancy was wonderful to work with and we hope to work with her again on other projects.

This was our first experience with a major remodel project. The project was transforming our 1950's kitchen brought up-to-date, which included the removal of a major wall. Nancy took us through the entire process - beginning with the design through project completion. She has impressive technical expertise along with her wonderful design sense. Also, her professional connections gave us the confidence that we were working with high quality vendors with products we could trust (lighting, cabinets, granite, floors, etc). I would recommend Nancy for remodel projects, large or small.

Professionally trained and very experience, Nancy brings expertise to the project. Her pleasant manner makes her easy to work with, but she takes charge when dealing with vendor missteps. With an artist's flare she will advise and suggest great colors, style, and looks to achieve your desires. Working within your current belongings and budget, she gently alters you course, as needed. Nancy is readily accessible and knows where to find that which will compliment and elevate your project. Lucky for us to have found such an advisor and new friend.

Without the help of Nancy Finneson, my designer, remodeling my kitchen would have been very difficult and stressful. She came up with ideas that made my kitchen work beautifully. The design and layout had some challenges. I had a beam, a need for more storage, better lighting, and better seating. I now love my kitchen. Nancy was instrumental in selecting products for my project. We went on field trips finding just the right appliances, cabinets, flooring, countertops, tile, lighting, sink, and paint color. Right from the start we discussed the things I wanted. We found the perfect range and exhaust fan (a clever down draft) that doesn't block the view to other rooms. The cabinets were custom so I got the style, wood and stain just right. Some cabinets included glass doors to display my special items in two matching hutches. The new plan added much more storage space and functional pulls-outs. The floors had to be durable for lots of traffic and two dogs. Nancy had samples, auditioning them in my space. I chose a vinyl flooring that resembles barn boards, practical and lovely. For 50 years I used a shallow, two-section, stainless steel sink. Nancy suggested a deep, one-piece porcelain sink that I love. Nancy coordinated all the work. I was without the use of a sink and stove only three days throughout the whole kitchen remodeling. I would recommend Nancy Finneson and the trades that she surrounds herself with for any remodel.

Nancy started with a vision of a master bath suite that required incorporating all the eclectic touches, fun wants, and practical needs we wanted to redo a very dated space. Much of the work was done remotely, as we were living overseas, but she was very responsive. Her attention to detail, willingness to come up with creative solutions, and expertise in aging in place are very much on display in our award-winning space. We are thrilled and would recommend Nancy for any project, large or small!

I have worked with Nancy Finneson on multiple projects. She has a really good eye for design and doesn't miss a detail. What I enjoy most is her enthusiasm for each project she takes on. It doesn't matter the size or cost, just that she can do the best for her customer. She has a good support team of suppliers and sub- contractors that she works with which allows her to bring a diverse amount of knowledge to each project.

I have used DeMane Design on two different homes with very satisfactory results. Nancy displayed a wide and through knowledge of styles, colors & perspectives. The craftsmen she recommended. were knowledgeable, capable & personable. We are very happy with Nancy's results in our current resident.

We own a modified split level home built in the 1960's which had a small, dark and unworkable kitchen. Our plan was to expand the kitchen into another room. However, there was a structural beam in the way, which we could not figure out how to work around. The house also had a mish-mash of trim, colors, lighting, etc. in the entry way, dining room and living room. Mostly 1980's country. We struggled with developing a central theme for the house. Nancy designed a new kitchen which brought in more light by installing two windows, back door with large sheet of glass and backsplash consisting of large glass tiles. She extended the countertop around the post and incorporated a bookcase underneath - this created the effect that the post was part of the design. The custom cabinets are not only a work of art but are very functional. She helped us select paint colors, hardware, lighting, etc. which are consistent with the mid-century look we sough. Nancy is very knowledgeable, has a wealth of ideas, and is very adept at listening and incorporating our needs into her design. We look forward to working with her as we renovate other areas of our home.

During our bathroom remodel Nancy demonstrated a high level of professionalism and expertise in designing and directing our project. Nancy's designs were creative, she presented several options including a plan that exceeded our expectations. Once we started our remodel we expanded our project to include several additional changes including repainting most of the interior walls. Nancy demonstrated excellent skills with color selection. She patiently explored and made color selections that worked with our existing color palette as well as our newly remodeled space. We would definitely hire Nancy for future remodel or design needs.

Nancy Finneson volunteered to design an entire apartment unit for our emergency shelter program for survivors of domestic violence. She completely outfitted the room in a way that was peaceful and healing and created the kind of enviornoment that would be soothing for someone who was in crisis and needed a restful retreat. She was respectful of the project parameters and timeline, communicated well, was compliant with job safety regulations, and was overall a delight to work with. Her comtemporary/casual style created a homey environment that was well suited to our diverse population.

Nancy is a professional who knows her stuff. Her design sense is innovative and attention to detail is exceptional. Our kitchen needed and received a major remodel. Now, with her creative design and planning, every inch of it has a purpose, function and is gorgeous. She worked closely with us through every stage of it while we moved walls, windows and more. We were so happy that we had her design our master bath which was just as successful and beautiful! We constantly receive compliments on the rooms that she has transformed. Nancy is a joy to work with and we highly recommend her for any design project, large or small.

I started working with Nancy Finneson of DeMane Design, to remodel my master bathroom. To date, I’ve remodeled all four bathrooms in my home using her design services. She listened to my ideas and preferences and expanded on them to give me beautiful, updated rooms that are better than I could have imagined. Nancy designed a built in cabinet for my master bath that gave me storage I never thought possible, in addition to upgrading its entire look. In one of my guest baths her use of tile and glass accent tile made a simple bathroom into something elegant. Nancy was tireless in her search to help me find just the right paint color, cabinets, tile and lights which all came together beautifully. I love my new bathrooms and couldn't have done it without her!
