We have worked with Jim on several major projects. He transformed our basic split level into our Craftsman style dream home. He has tremendous vision and sense of design. Jim always remains unflustered when presented with changes to a project and his professionalism stands out. We would highly recommend Jim as a knowledgeable and creative architect.

Jim was very professional and easy to work with. He took opinions from my wife and I and was able to help us find a middle ground. Jim did not force things on us and gave us reasons why he did things in a certain manner. We think his design work was outstanding and was able to speak to contractors on our behalf to resolve issues and guided us through a stressful construction process by always taking our calls and giving us his professional input. If you are 50/50 on an issue go with Jim's opinion.

Way back in 1993 these types of reviews were non-existent or I would have gladly authored one back then. Great site by the way. Incredible resume of work. I contacted Jim to design my house early that year. I found a builder to buy a lot who agreed to use my plans. (actually Jim's plans). Jim met with us and the builder and took notes of our ideas, wants and needs and came back with a gorgeous design. I remember the builder shaking his head that the design was one he had never seen and even questioned the feasibility of certain requirements. One being the circular stairway in the two story entrance foyer which eventually turned out awesome. Not only did Jim show up on site to supervise the process, one framing laborer actually challenged him on a spec he felt could not be fulfilled. Jim climbed a ladder, plans in hand and outlined the issue and explained why and how it should be done. I recall the reaction of the framer being more impressed than annoyed. Jim's mixture of precision and humor that a tool belt was not foreign to him won the guy over immediately. His attention to not only detail but what the customer expected was exemplary. I emphatically endorse Deluca Designs.

I planned my dream renovation for 17 years & Jim brought my vision to life. Our home was expanded, gutted & every room recreated. He was on site throughout the 8 month project & worked closely with our contractor to ensure it went smoothly to completion. Eight years after completion, I’m still ecstatic over every detail of my new home. As a Realtor, Jim is the only architect I’ve referred to my clients & every one of them has raved over his design ideas & dramatic changes to their homes. I know, when I see the joy in their faces, as they show me their transformed homes, that I made the right choice & will refer him again & again. We hired Jim to design an interior and exterior renovation. On the exterior he designed a new portico, windows, doors and AZEK trim. Jim helped us to transform our traditional plain colonial into a charming home. JIm has an incredible eye for space. For example, Jim suggested changing a roof line which enabled us to incorporate transom windows into our design. This has completely converted the family room into a bright, sunny space. Jim is not just an Architect, his flair for design is invaluable. He understood what we wanted to accomplish and he steered us right on all details, down to picking out moldings, doors, and hardware. He was professional and easy to deal with at all times. He was available to answer all of our questions and followup on the job site as needed. When you hire Jim you are not just hiring an Architect, but a true designer!

He designed an entire renovation of our large home in Huntington adding special touches that all of our guests rave about. Jim also designed our NYC apartment renovation and did so with the same attention to detail and style. He is professional and kind - a winning combination!

Jim was the architect on our whole house renovation. He was so professional and creative and really listened to what we were trying to achieve. He worked with our builder to make sure our vision was accomplished. If there was a problem he was on site to talk to the contractor and make any adjustment that was necessary. He was totally knowledgeable regarding town codes etc. He went above and beyond what we would have expected and met every deadline. In addition to his creativity, his patience in dealing with every aspect of the project was in large part responsible for us being able to get through it! We could not be more thrilled with the result and have recommended him to numerous people. When friends walk through the front door they are overwhelmed by how spectacular the change is from our original home. We can't praise him enough and know that after interviewing many architects we absolutely made the right choice!
