I hired Micah off of Craigslist to build me countertops for my kitchen. He delivered work which was substandard. The main issue is with the area around my kitchen sink where he measured incorrectly (he was given the exact dimensions for the sink prior to cutting it out and realized his mistake only when I pointed out that it looked too big when he texted me a photo of it. He assured me that it was correct then excuses were made for the sudden delay of delivery and when it finally arrived the issue became clear, at which point he confessed that he'd made a mistake and tried to fix it. In my opinion he should have started over and made it correctly rather than deliver a "repaired" brand new product. It cost me $1490 I would have liked a discount for the poor workmanship, one was not offered. There were many other issues in dealing with him as well as with the countertops I won't go into here but I would not recommend him at all.

We could not be more thrilled with how our gorgeous new reclaimed wood countertop and desk top turned out. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. We highly recommend Micah and Defiance to anyone looking for custom reclaimed wood creations.

This guy might have had something going for awhile but has completely lost it. I initiated a project with him 9/2017 and he seemed somewhat flakey to begin with but gave him benefit of doubt because of positive reviews and great looking work. I gave him half the cost of the project 10/2017 and was told it would be a few weeks. It has been a nightmare since. Long story but highlights include multiple promised delivery dates (including Christmas Eve), delivery of project 1/4/18 and while carrying dining room table into our home a leg fell off, the table was wrong colors, and accent wall portion of project was incomplete (just random boards and again incorrect stain color) He agreed to refunding our money at that time. Again, multiple refund dates promised and I am still with out any returned money and he is not answering my calls/texts. Throughout this whole process he always had an excuse specifically something personal. I tried to be understanding and it was to my detriment and $640. I have all of this documented in emails and texts.

Defiance Hardwood does absolutely fantastic work. They completed three walls in our home and I couldn't be happier with the work and end result. Professionalism, focus on detail, and overall responsiveness to our questions/needs was stellar. The end-to-end process was seamless.

Micah and his team built an awesome barn door for us. The wood selected and the way it was constructed and finished is gorgeous. Everyone that sees it talks about how beautiful it is. Our house renovation project is not yet finished, so pictures will have to come later. We highly recommend Defiance Hardwood for a great wood creation from reclaimed wood.

We hired Defiance Hardwood to complete several butcher block countertops for our Real Estate Office providing workspaces for agents. We were amazed at the affordable price for a very customized project. The staff and installers at Defiance were incredibly helpful and even made multiple trips to make sure everything was picture perfect. We are constantly receiving compliments from customers and agents about our work spaces.

I needed a dining table and matching coffee table. Micah and Devan from Defiance Hardwood worked closely with me to give me exactly what I wanted. They were very patient and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The tables exceeded my expectations. The color is perfect and they are sturdy and heavy.

We ordered new countertops from them and wow, they're amazing! The quality is top notch and they look so awesome! We were on the fence between butcher block and granite, but after meeting Micah and seeing his shop and his work we were sold. They were very communicative through the whole process and made sure we were happy with the final product. Micah is a really good guy and he and his guys really care about their customers and the work they do. I can't recommend them enough!

Micah and his team are absolute professionals. We've come back to them time and time again for oak, maple, and mahogany. Their creativity, craftsmanship, and customer service are always top-notch. I am always happy as a customer, and my clients are consistently pleased. Thanks Micah!

Micah and team did an amazing job creating reclaimed wood shelving and a folding surface for our laundry room remodel. Micah is a treat to work with! His communication, creativity, and dedication are second to none. I ended up needing to bring my 7 and 4 year old boys with me to the shop on a visit and Micah's team gave them a tour, a donut, and sandpaper and scrap wood to keep them busy and safe so I could talk with Micah. Our project was small compared to many that they do but I felt they were as happy to do ours as any of the larger ones. We installed the shelves and Micah followed up with a genuine interest to see photos of them in the room and make sure everything went well with the install. I highly recommend Defiance Hardwood! So much so I even passed along Micah's info to my brother who builds custom homes in Atlanta. Micah be on the lookout for a call!! :)

Micah and the boys at Defiance Hardwood provided the highest quality of customer service along with highly skilled craftsmanship. We had a 10 foot x 42 inch kitchen island built for our kitchen remodel. It is the centerpiece of our room and is always the center of attention. These guys are also engaged with the community and generously donated a few custom cutting boards to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation which were purchased at our fundraising event immediately. Extremely happy that I contacted the Defiance hardwood for the custom counter top and mantel I needed for our kitchen and living room renovation. Build quality and workmanship is topnotch and price is extremely reasonable . Delivery from Colorado to Texas took only couple of days. Highly recommended. Attached a pre-install photo for reference.
