Charles Taylor was a pleasure to work with. I have worked with many interior designers, in my 37 years of being a contractor. We obtain about 80% of our work through interior designers, some designers are easy to work with but only average designers while others are very good designers but difficult to work with. Charles was both a phenomenal designer as well as easy to work with! It truly was a pleasure working with CTH and I look forward to our next collaboration.

Fantastic designer and I couldn't give him a higher recommendation based on the two projects we did with him. We used Charles for a $400,000+ redesign of our home and had previously used him for a remodeling of a high rise condo in downtown San Diego. His design ability absolutely made the difference between a good redo of our home and the spectacular results that he delivered. His scope of work included completely redesigning the kitchen, family room, dining room, living room, front entry, master bath, master bedroom, hallways, library and closets. We had previously used him 10 years ago in San Diego to help us redo a high-rise condo in Petco Park. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of the first project and contacted him again in 2017 to redo our home. Charles worked very closely with our budget and was involved with every aspect of project including help identifying a general contractor and guiding us with the different trades and supply companies all over San Diego. Charles worked closely with my wife to understand her vision, and more importantly, to complement that vision with his 20 years of experience in the industry. He was able to bring in ideas and suggestions that we would have never considered without him. When necessary he was able to reduce costs and still give us the outcome we desired. Our project is approaching completion and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. On a personal note, Charles is a fun person to work with. He is honest, loves the design business and is passionate about his work. He was the most critical piece of our remodel in bringing together all of the ideas and realistically implementing them in our home. He was critical for providing feedback when we had our own ideas but weren't sure which direction to go. He has superb contacts all over town that we would have never been able to find had we been working on our own. Remodeling a home is time consuming, dusty, noisy and filled with unexpected problems. Charles was critical in identifying potential issues beforehand and making the project go as smoothly as possible. Further, he was hands on with the trades to make sure they did work to his standards. This included everything from the details on how the tile was finished to how the finish on the walls was to be done. I would only do another project if Charles agreed to take the job as our designer again.

Charles was an absolute pro. He handled all of the details and my home project was completed on time. He also found me better materials for less money than I could do on my own. I highly recommend Charles especially if you want it done right the first time.

We have an older home in Scripps Ranch and hired Charles to open up and modernize our first floor. Charles was very responsive to all our inquiries and understood our vision, budget, and goals. With our goals in mind, he redesigned our kitchen and living room to give us a more open floor plan and worked with our contractor to finalize an amazing floor plan. He also helped us select color schemes and styles for our cabinets, backsplash, and surfaces. Throughout the project (which spanned several months) he was always responsive. I would highly recommend hiring Charles for any home design or furnishing projects.

charles taylor is an awesome individual, all the way around. his professionalism, talent and vision, are all exceptional - and as a person, he is one of the nicest, most down to earth and kind people i know. charles helped achieve a vintage luxe look for my home that felt comfortable but yet very chic. he was able to work within my budget guidelines, however, the end result gave the appearance that we had spent so much more than we did. i highly recommend charles in any endeavor related to the design industry.
