We have collaborated with Crux Studio on several projects and have always found them to be great team leaders, good problem solvers and very responsive to contractor and owner questions and concerns. They understand the project development process and are therefore proficient in anticipating the next steps and staying out in front of the project and getting critical decisions made in a timely manner. They are knowledgeable about building codes and assembly details which is always important from a contractors standpoint since their drawings are complete and well coordinated between the various engineering disciplines.

The partners at Crux Studio Inc. helped me to renovate and combine two units in a high-rise condominium building in West L.A. It is now a 2,600 sq. ft. unit with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We only had a handful of meetings face-to-face throughout the process (as I spend most of my time in another country), but we were able to make much progress during these times and continued our discussions through e-mail when I was away. Mark and Becky were both receptive to my suggestions and tried their best to accommodate my preferences into the design where possible. Some time was lost during the early stages of the project, as neither I nor Mark and Becky were fully familiar with the strict and somewhat unusual regulations for renovations that were specific to the building. After those issues were resolved, Mark and Becky also had to navigate the complex approvals process before renovation work could proceed. Thankfully, they worked extremely well with the appointed contractor as well as the building management and got things moving along from that point onwards. Overall, while the project may have taken longer than expected, I must say I am pleased with the end product. I would add that if Crux Studios were to do tackle other renovation projects in my condo building, they would now be true experts!

We have hired Crux Studio to do three different home improvement/construction jobs, including a room addition, a kitchen remodel, and a landscaping makeover with new backyard patio. Most recently, they assisted us with interior design. Mark and Becky are extremely professional, conscientious and meticulous when designing their projects and overseeing construction. They are knowledgeable about the trade, and have a great eye for materials, fabrics and finishes. They also are helpful in supervising contractors. Through a friend's recommendation, we hired Crux Studio, local to the community, to completely remodel a 1930s house, It took a while before the plans was approved by Pasadena city. They were very professional, and knowledgeable of the codes. We deal mainly with Becky. she is very personable and easy to work with. understand our needs and translate them on paper. Helped us choose a professional and highly detailed contractor who took care of everything for us. We are very happy with them. I recommend them highly.

Crux Studio designed and oversaw the construction of our new house from the beginning to the end. As we did not have any previous experience in this field we required quite a bit of hand holding.
