CKS Residential: Chapel Hill

We are so happy CKS did our Kitchen and Master Bath. We went all custom and we are so pleased. Love the design, love the quality!

We hired CKS redo our bathroom with the goal of expanding and opening up the space. We had a very small shower and vanity set up in our master with no storage space. We had a walk in-closet behind the bathroom that cramped the space up even more. After listening to our frustrations, Zack came up with a plan to tear down the closet wall and expand the bathroom. Now we have a large vanity that feels very spa-like. I love how the Carrara marble floor tile and countertops match each other. The space is airy and luxurious, it’s hard to believe this is the same bathroom!

We wanted a modern-feel for our kitchen with some commercial details. CKS did wood-paneling everywhere that was sleek and streamlined. It worked out great because our pantry closet was integrated into the cabinetry and the look is custom and unique. The pantry door became damaged (thanks to my teenage boys) and CKS came out to fix it free of charge. Their quality of product and customer service is great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I hired CKS Design Studio after finding their profile on Houzz. I loved all of their projects and knew it was time for my kitchen to get an update. They worked with the original integrity of my home but was able to update and modernize the space to make it more functional and stylish. I wanted a classic white, farmhouse kitchen and I got exactly that! CKS has high standards in terms of the work they produce and the quality of materials they use. Their cabinets are beautifully made. They worked within my design aesthetic and brought new ideas to the table as well. I am so happy with how my kitchen turned out and would recommend to anyone looking for a new kitchen design and renovation.

CKS renovated the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room in our very old home. The original layout was horrible so they gutted everything out and were able to create a new kitchen and dining layout in addition to being able to add a powder room! We wanted everything to look really crisp and clean and CKS delivered just that. Zack was great in suggesting different details like a painted glass backsplash and a cypress vanity to make our home different from our neighbors. We can barely believe this is the same home! We were able to stay within our budget and are very happy with the finished result!

My kitchen is extremely small so I wasn’t sure what could even be done with it. I was really discouraged until I worked with Zack on a new design and layout. He was able to suggest taking out a pantry to add work space in the kitchen. Also incorporated smart lighting choices and design features to match the scale of the kitchen without overwhelming the space. The function of the kitchen was great and we love the mixed styles of cabinetry on the upper and lower cabinets. We also love the custom color paint. I have recommended CKS to all my friends!

Zack and his team did a great job designing our kitchen and master bath and made the process very enjoyable! He was kind, patient, and very personable to work with. We were never afraid to ask a question or share an idea-- Zack always listened and provided us with great ideas and innovative designs. We have a rather unique style and wanted lots of bold colors in our kitchen and Zack knew exactly how to execute our ideas in a balanced and tasteful way. We now have a custom kitchen and bath that fits our family perfectly and we couldn't be happier... All thanks to Zack and the CKS team!

We hired CKS to renovate our bathroom 5 years ago and they did a great job. When it came time to renovate our kitchen last year, we knew we wanted to hire them again. Our kitchen needed to be completely gutted. We had a large two-tier island and we wanted it all one level for more workspace. My husband and I love to cook and wanted a space that was more functional. CKS came up with a plan to redesign the kitchen with this new island and cabinetry to the ceiling to maximize the work and storage space. We really didn’t want to over spend on the renovation portion of the project CKS worked with us to make the tear-down minimal. We are so pleased with the result and would hire them again!

We strongly recommend CKS for custom cabinetry and design. We have used CKS for two different projects. First, we worked with the CKS during the renovation of our kitchen. To replace a built-in desk, CKS designed a three-drawer cabinet with space for a wine refrigerator. CKS incorporated our drawer specifications and matched the drawer style and end panel to the existing cabinets. The quality of the framework and the drawer mechanisms of the new cabinet section was clearly superior to the existing cabinets. However, CKS did an excellent job of making the appearance of the new cabinet match the existing ones.

CKS completed our kitchen and dining room remodel in our older historic home. We knew the look we wanted but weren't sure how to turn our ideas into a design. Zack listened to our ideas and then created a great design that achieved exactly what we were looking for. When it came time for the project build, construction with Chuck was smoother than expected for an older home. Chuck always kept a clean worksite and were very respectful of our home. He had great transparency and kept us in the loop at every stage. The final product was quality work with a careful attention to fine detail... Simply beautiful! We've been enjoying our kitchen and dining area and know that we will for years to come.

CKS Design Studio modified our kitchen to create more functional space of dead areas in our kitchen. We worked with CKS to come up with a plan to add-on cabinets. CKS transformed the space with a careful attention to detail by seamlessly matching the previous paint and kitchen details. They were on top of the project to make sure it all came together under the deadline we had set. This project had very little impact on our lives. We would work with CKS Design Studio again and again!
