CHRYSALIS: HOME STUDIO provides residential design services for new homes, additions, and whole-house remodels. Projects of any size, large or small. Versed in most styles of architecture: arts & crafts, bungalow, craftsman, contemporary, cottage, deco, mid-century, mission, modern, prairie, usonian, etc. Design/business philosophy: a home should be simultaneously in harmony with its site, its inhabitants, and an established budget.

Hope at Chrysalis understands the opportunities and challenges posed by using reclaimed wood products. We enjoy working with her because she has an eye for great design and pays attention to details. We love that she isn't afraid to use reclaimed in her designs!

Chris collaborated with us on the Gustavson residence. This project was a blend of our expertise of space and energy efficiency skillfully brought together by his sense of scale and detail. He communicates his thoughts well and gives very detailed Architectural drawings that are easy to understand and read. Chris provided Architectual design services for my primary residence as well several commercial projects. Chris has a passion for detail and understands that design not only provides curb appeal but needs to be functional. Chris also is very in tune with cost, and will make sure the design fits with in budget.

Chris is a detailed, gifted architect who did an amazing job on our large home remodel. He worked along side our builder making sure that every detail of our plans were carried through well and accurately. Our home project required diligent attention to detail and Chris provieded that perfectly. He also communicated consistantly with the builder and us. Our home is complimented all the time and was featured in the M magazine for its beautiful, well done remodel.

Chris Manske designed a complete new exterior and entry porch for our home. We worked closely through many different design concepts and materials selections. A couple of years after the work was complete, neighbors walking past our home continue to compliment us on the wonderful new look for our home. They cannot believe that it is the same house as the old "gray house" we originally bought. The home has much improved curb appeal and looks inviting and comfortable instead of awkward. We are very pleased with the design work.
