Borrowed Space

I'd got a bit depressed about my garden - the brickwork supporting the raised beds was disintegrating and the thought of rebuilding it was quite overwhelming. But Oliver and Zdravko immediately reassured me with their calm, pragmatic approach. Even the very narrow back door didn't phase them - Zdravko merely raised an eyebrow and brought his stuff through the window instead, without chipping paint or ruffling the carpet. They are an excellent team - thorough, organised, personable and utterly reliable. Oliver's sympathetic design and Zdravko's conscientious execution have transformed my dishevelled ruin into a lovely space that I'll enjoy for years.

Oliver's design for our garden was inspired. He has created areas for all the family to enjoy; incorporating space for a ping pong table and an outside gym and two entertainment areas within a beautiful garden. He thought of every aspect: lighting, watering, herbs for cooking, and ensured that the two seating areas catch the morning and afternoon light. He listened to each member of the family when creating his design and managed to please everyone. He also oversaw the construction of the work and ensured that it was to the highest standard. We all spend a lot more time in the garden as a result.

We introduced Oliver to our Clients and have never looked back, at last a Landscape Designer that listens to and works with the Client and their needs to produce fantastic bespoke gardens. With so much attention paid to hard landscaping people overlook planting and get it wrong! With Oliver being a trained horticulturist his excellent plant knowledge really ensures his design work stands above the rest.

Oliver takes you through the whole design process: he discusses your ideas & likes/ dislikes; scopes out the existing garden; reviews the sun alignment etc. & then proposes a design for review. He's obviously got a lot of experience, and very wide plant knowledge, and is very easy to deal with - working to a clear brief and timescale.

I found Oliver Borrows to be thoroughly professional with all of his activities. I have worked with Oliver on a number of projects which have been carried out to the highest specifications. The projects have run seamlessly from start to finish with the end result in each case being an extremely happy client. Much of this work has led to repeat business and personal recommendation resulting in further work.

I am writing this review for the work that Oliver from Borrowed Space had done for myself and my wife for our garden and transformed our dim looking garden to a relaxing beautiful escape that we can now relax in. Oliver was very professional and kept us up to date with everything he did and what we would require to transform our very dull garden to a paradise. I would recommend Oliver and his team again and have also advised friends and family.
