Having worked with Sami and the team at Block D&B I've found them all to be outstanding professionals. Sami's eye for design, project management skills and personal touch with Clients are a class apart. I would highly recommend working with them to anyone.

Working with Sami was great. We couldn't have completed our project in the time we did without him. His expertise and advice were crucial and his design opinions were also really helpful. He always seemed calm even if we felt stressed and this was also appreciated. Having someone who knows how to communicate with builders and people in the trade was exactly what we needed because we're clueless!

We highly recommend working with Sami at BLOCK! We bought a leasehold Victorian property in North London that required a very substantial, complete renovation which included navigating a raft of approvals, including some complex issues that arose mid-project. Sami's experience in these matters plus his advice in choosing materials, suppliers and, of course, the builder, was invaluable. We avoided delays, saved a lot of admin and research time, and benefitted from trade discounts. Sami's experience and regular and professional dialogue ultimately made the process much, much smoother. From the moment we first got in touch with Block design, we were impressed with the level of professionalism and knowledge the company and company contacts had. They are all great people to work with. The builders contracted in were regulars that work with Block and they were truly great - hard working, tidy, respectful. Sami (block) keeps an eye on things and make sure everything is done well, on schedule, and within budget. He is meticulously organised, professional, knowledgeable and a great communicator, keeping us informed on a regular basis. Sami really listened to what we wanted and the result is fab. We love it. Definitely recommend Block to anyone doing some refurbs.

I hired BLOCK Design & Build to renovate my London home. Sami and his team did an amazing job, realized my vision, and added their own great design suggestions. Sami was great at communicating with me and flexible about any changes I wanted to make as we went along. This was especially important as I was living 8 time zones away at the time and could not check up on the work regularly. When I was finally able to see it in person, everything was perfectly done. I will absolutely hire them again!

I hired Block to manage the conversion of my living room and kitchen into an open plan kitchen/living room. There was so much I didn't know about the process as a whole going into this, so it made sense to hire a company that assumed responsibility for all the working parts and came with a reputation for being transparent and communicative. Their input on the detail such as which kitchen supplier to use was invaluable, they also walked me through all the steps throughout the design and were excellent at updating me on progress during the build. The team of professionals, builders and suppliers that were introduced to the project by Block were excellent and I'm very happy with the decision made to hire them.

We hired Block to renovate our 2 bedroom flat in Hoxton. Their focus on design and project management set them apart from the other firms we had spoken to. Sami and his team were great from the outset. They incorporated a lot of the ideas we had whilst using their experience to help improve the overall design and feel of the flat. This was most evident with the kitchen and bathroom, where they helped us choose the right suppliers and really lead on the design. I’m thrilled that we worked with Block, as I can say that without their consultancy the project would have been twice as stressful and the outcome would not have been such a high standard.

BLOCK were fantastic and instrumental in getting my renovation done and finished to a standard that I'm proud to call home. My home is a 3 storey ex-council house that had been a rental property for many years before I bought it. It wasn't in great condition and need a wholesale renovation. Looking back at it, I can't imagine how I would've gotten it done without Sami at BLOCK, especially given that I work full time. Renovating is a big endeavour to undertake and BLOCK was a great choice to manage it. Why I found BLOCK to be a very solid choice: 1. He really understands what you're trying to do and works with you to figure out the vision of it more clearly 2. He brings on a great build team. Having spoken to other friends who have done renovations (and have had disasters), his ability to find the right people is huge. 3. He is transparent and trustworthy, which is key when you're dealing with projects of this size. 4. His sense of detail and aesthetic is fantastic. There's no point in doing a project to produce something that is functionally fine, but lacks the feeling of home at the end. 5. He keeps you sane. This was a huge investment for me personally - and the first time I've done something like this. Sami dealt with my questions, random ideas and moments of indecision like a real pro. He somehow has the patience of a saint and took it all in stride. 6. BLOCK takes care of the project details that really hurt you otherwise: leaseholder approval, building code, fire codes, structural engineers, etc. I didn't have the first clue about these, nor did I have the time to get a handle on it. If I ever do another project, BLOCK will be at the top of my list. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

BLOCK were absolutely fantastic. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Sami managed the project flawlessly and made the whole process so easy for us as we were living far away from the property. His eye for design was spot on, and he turned the flat from a shabby rundown student living to a beautiful, stylish, unique and contemporary space. He was clear and communicated very well throughout the project. I couldn't be happier with the result, was worth every penny.

BLOCK were hired to build our kitchen extension and to refurbish the rest of our home. They also overlooked the design and planning of it all. Their experience here was really valuable as we had an idea of what we wanted but didn't know where to start. Once the building work started we were impressed by how thorough our project manager was. Sami always presented us with options for each item we'd need to order and took the time to explain things clearly so that we always knew how things were moving along. The builders were really professional and it was reassuring to know that we had a team of people working on our home that really cared about the end result. We're thrilled with our home and can say we got more than we expected.

My partner and I hired BLOCK to renovate our newly purchased 2 storey home in East London. From the off our project manager Sami was full of ideas and really helped us build on the vision we had for our home. Once the work started we were impressed by how committed the whole team are to the details. Communication with Sami as project lead throughout was excellent. It's fair to say we avoided a few pitfalls by simply having someone experienced to advise on each step and didn't let us get too carried away. The end result was the style and features we wanted within budget and in time for the busy Christmas period. We'd recommend BLOCK to anyone who, like us, are very house-proud and have high hopes for their renovation and design projects but are a bit daunted about tying many jobs togetehr into an entire home refurbishmene.
