Barrett won my praise when he came to bid on what I termed my phase 1 project of my house. He was professional and frankly the only one that asked the right questions. I thought it was a fairly small project but it actually involved over half of my house. We turned my master bathroom into my closet and my master bedroom into my master bathroom then we took what was an added on sunroom and turned that into my master bedroom and office these were just a few of the items that they worked on in my home. The project did take longer than I had hoped, starting in Sept 2019 completing fist week of Jan 2020, but once it was completed I was thrilled with the results.

Best Austin Handyman converted two outdoor patios into indoor living spaces, included removing 2 exterior walls and floating the floor to install additional interior flooring to what used to be patios, and completely renovated a bathroom shower. We couldn't more pleased. Barrett and Sam ran an excellent, timely, clean and perfect project. They added so much value to our home. The project was completed in the summer, and now, in January have not had any issues or concerns. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again for any future projects.

If I could give less than one star I would. These guys started “repairing” my deck in May! It’s not quality work, it’s not even finished, my yard is trashed, and they aren’t returning our calls or texts anymore. SCAM!!!!!

These guys are rock stars! As a real estate agent I have a lot of clients who need a handyman or remodeling service either before or after they move. BAH are the only folks I refer to because the feedback I get about them from my clients is always positive. So don't just take my word for it - but the dozen+ people I've sent their way! I've used their services personally many times as well. I love that they can handle small things like a leak or a door that sticks so I save up a bunch of tasks then have them send someone over to take care of it all at once. I also love that I can count on them for major remodeling too. I just bought a house and finished having BAH remodel it. The before and after photos are unbelievable and BAH did it all! Across the board, the men and women who worked on the project for me were friendly, professional and respectful. They made me feel like no detail was too small to take care of. A couple of other great things about Best Austin Handyman - their structure and ethics. The professionals who work for them are on payroll, not random folks they pick up to fill out a crew or a bunch of subcontractors you can't rely on to be somewhere on time. And they pay their employees a living wage! It is great to support a company that really cares about its employees. These are my go-to guys for projects small and large.

I have used this company for many projects — a bathroom and kitchen remodel in my condo, changes to the new house we bought, with everything from electrical to custom carpentry. They've installed crown molding, built custom book cases for me, made a screened in porch, laid a path in my backyard... the list is long. By far, the owner is the most responsive and ethically driven of any contractor I have worked with in the past. He is clear in his communication, lets me know what to expect, takes responsibility when things don't go ideally (because this IS construction, after all!) and always is great to deal with. I highly recommend them!!!!

I hired this company to put in plumbing and electrical in a 10' X 12' shed in the back yard. The workers they hired were very unprofessional (some of them are daily labors, who doesn't know what they are doing). When they dug the yard to put in plumbing pipes, they destroyed everything in my back yard, such as sprinkler system, french drain pipe, and landscape etc. It was a total disaster. After that, they were unable to put those things back. I asked them to come back to fix the problems they made, the owner refused to contact with me, they are totally ignored me after I made the last payment to them. The biggest issue is the irrigation system they broke, they are unable to fix it, I had to hire irrigation company to fix it. They refused to reimburse me. 1. They broke pipes, left it opened uncap, so the water leak lots in my yard. 2. One of big irrigation pipe was broken, they capped on one side, but left the other side opened, instead of connect this pipe together, they just left it opened, so there's many of stations are not working. This company is very unprofessional, and irresponsible!!!

They just finished a kitchen remodel for us and it's beautiful! Barrett's crew did a great job. They were on time, professional, and easy to work with.

Very happy from start to finish. Virtually no interruptions once they started. Price was very competitive. That's it in a nutshell!

I am currently still working with Best Austin Handyman and Remodeling, not in a "handyman" capacity but on a remodel job. After hiring them to look over some bathroom remodel plans I had come up with, as I had suffered a bad roof leak and the bathroom needed work. I have some background in design, and electric, but when it came to bathrooms and plumbing, I had no idea if my concepts were feasible. After loving the advice and additional design work, we kept going and I hired them to do the actual bathroom remodel. The estimate was great and their crew are fast, professional and friendly. Also, cleanup at the end of each day is impeccable. THEN, in the process of starting the remodel process, we discovered that my house was a real piece of s*#t. Now I knew this already, but once we pulled some walls off, the extent of pre-existing damage inside the walls and the rotted foundation became even more apparent. I know my stuff, and there was no way we could continue without addressing these issues. They were immediately on the case, rebuilding the pier and beam foundation on one side of the house and reconstructing the exterior wall. We also realized that the original pitch and construction of my crappy roof needed to be re-worked. So the team got on top of that as well. Again, great prices and expertise. Everything is very hands on, and being that I am involved in the design work, we've all been working very well as a team, not only to get things done efficiently, but also to keep it cost effective. There is no "upselling" with Best Austin Handyman. Every time we've come hit an obstacle, these guys come together and find ways to solve the problem. The whole experience has been a pleasure so far. Sadly, we've had to stop work for a little while as we reached a point where we had to go through the City for some permits, but will be up again running soon, and I will continue the review...

Barrett Crisco of Best Austin Handyman is the best in the business. I have been working on remodeling projects for 20 years, so I am quite familiar with all aspects of the work involved. I have worked on 4 family homes, two downtown condo complete remodels and one duplex remodel. Through the years I have worked with many contractors and I have to say Best Austin Handyman is the best of the best. For me they have done a complete roof, skylights, soundproofing and most recently an expansive spectacular deck overlooking Zilker Park. You name it, they can do it. There have been times I have changed my mind mid stream on a project and this company simply takes it in stride. Their goal is just aiming to please. Quotes are fair and most importantly they show up the day they say they will and do their best to complete jobs in the time quoted. 6 star rating for them if it were possible.
